The donuts here are absolutely AMAZING! I would 100% recommend. The place was very clean and nice! The people here are very sweet, just like their donuts!

Decent donut spot with their well known cake like heavier donut. The inside space was pretty clean with lots of seats. Counter staff were very friendly and great. Got a seasonal donut and it was good. Good to stop in for a treat. Thanks

Fancy Federal Donuts. Most of these flavors were far too sweet for me.

Tried Federal Donuts after reading all the rave reviews. Ordered two boxes, they came well wrapped and tasted fresh. 5 stars. I tried these flavors: HOT: Cinnamon Brown Sugar (4 stars), Strawberry Lavender, Cookies n Cream (meh). CLASSICS: Old Fashioned (just a regular donut); Dark Chocolate Glazed (ok); Chocolate Old Fashioned (ok): Three stars. FANCY: Blueberry Crumble, French Toast (yuck!); Cereal Glaze (too sweet). Two stars. (note: ordered in 2022, no idea what quality is now)

This place was so cute! My sister is a foodie and will only eat donuts from Federal Donuts. I was happy she took us there because it was very yummy. She even got a donut for the next day and it was still good the next day. The service was great. I could have been in a rush and didn't notice or see, but I wish there was more coffee options to enjoy. I can't wait to visit with my husband.

This donut place is located on the parkway. While the selection of donuts wasn't as big as I would have liked- they had donuts that you make on site, Christmas themed donuts on display, and a selection of classic donuts. The space is really pretty with its open window layouts where you can see all the skyscrapers. The staff was quick with our order. We got a dozen of the hot donuts. I tried the Cookies N Cream and Strawberry Lavender. They were perfectly warm and soft. The Strawberry Lavender tastes amazing, but the Cookies N Crème didn't really taste like cookies and creme imo. The hot apple cider was delicious as well.

I visited this place just before noon, so they still had plenty of options, but not a lot of other customers. It was a little hard to find the entrance, since I really didn't know the area, but no one is keeping me away from sweets. I bought a couple of donuts - fig mascarpone and banana cream (or it may have had a fancier name). Both were good, but I was especially impressed by the fig mascarpone, since that isn't a particularly common option and I didn't know what to expect. I was tempted to try something more, but I was about to head to eat lunch elsewhere. Despite that, the chicken was very tempting. If I get a chance to visit again, I'll probably try that.

Philadelphia's donut gem! An absolute must-try with amazing, melt-in-your-mouth donuts. These treats are a staple, and the experience is nothing short of delightful. A heavenly indulgence for any donut lover!

When I think of great combinations, donuts and chicken never crossed my mind but Federal Donuts has changed that thinking. Their donuts are so soft and moist and their chicken is so tender and juicy. The staff was helpful and friendly and seemed to really enjoy working at the shop. The shop was clean and had plenty of seats. They have several locations throughout Philly. I would definitely return.

This is a big new location, serving the same amazing donuts and fried chicken. Their cake donuts are the best, we always stop here for a box of 6 and add on some of the also excellent fresh hot donuts. The Peanut Butter Buckeye on the current menu is definitely a must.

Passed by while on a walk with friends and naturally ended up inside. So many fun flavor choices like Pina Colada, Dirt (Oreo worm), peach ring and blueberry crumble

I had heard that this local donut chain was one to check out when visiting Philly! It took some effort to find this location with Google maps which was frustrating, but eventually we found it. We had amazing service from the start - the staff was very friendly and walked us through the different donut and coffee options. We ended up splitting the sticky toffee banana donut (HANDS DOWN MY FAVORITE), the philly creme (good but odd the cream was on the outside), and a strawberry lavender hot donut (LOVE that they make these fresh and they definitely come out piping hot!). We also tried the fried chicken sandwich which was pretty good, but coming from the south, we definitely have higher expectations for fried chicken! We also had a couple of coffees which were pretty good too. Overall, the donuts are very tasty and seem to have a great variety of flavor so would definitely visit again!

My go 2 donut shop when im in philly! They ALWAYS have different flavors which is great and terrible at the same time. Always fast and friendly service no matter the location.

Since I was last here, they added in self-ordering kiosks, which would theoretically improve ordering speed, except that they did so at the cost of not taking orders at the counter. Understandably, this was to help out the large flood of Doordash pickups coming through, but it was slower as most people take a lot longer to choose when self-ordering. Food came out fast, and was delicious! I ordered the Sandwich Combo, and it came out hot and fresh. Fries here are literally addictive-- I don't know why but I just keep eating and then eat my friends' fries too. Overall this location is well-decorate and kept clean. However, it's a lot more chaotic here with all the Doordash pickups coming through. I'd have retreated to the side of the restaurant to have a little reprieve from all the folks coming in and out. But overall, still a great place to eat!

My sister and husband liked their classic chicken sandwich but both agree that it needs to come with some kind of spread like mayo or maybe a house sauce to kick the roll up a notch. I also had an empanada on my ride home as a treat and boy was it - hot, crispy, and flavorful. I also like that the prices are kept down some by making a drink optional especially with the prices of soft drinks in Philly. The gentleman who took my order was very nice, patient, and helpful. The atmosphere is like a traditional fast food vibe. In the area? Check Them Out! I look forward to a return trip for their fried chicken, their unique sides, and their chicken bowl :0)

I found out that Pollo Campero recently opened and wanted to check it out. After doing a search on…read morethe chain, they advertise that they were among the top ten fast food chicken restaurants in the nation. The chicken I tried was decent, but not necessarily a big favorite of mine. Located in a former KFC which was closed for years and a Boston Market that never came to fruition, when I drove by a little before 2pm it was like a major event with traffic blocking Frankford Avenue, and a long line out the door. I decided anyway that if people like this place that much, I should wait it out. I parked my car (DO NOT PARK AT 7/11 or AutoZone - you'll get towed) and got in line. By the time I got to the entrance door, the line had grown even larger and snaked around the restaurant. Once inside, it was a mini amusement park ride with another line before getting to the cashier. Total time in line for me was about 75 minutes. If I took a shot with the drive through, it may have been a bit shorter, but I wanted to check out the inside of the place. Pollo Campero must be huge with the Hispanic population. I think I was the only non-Spanish speaker. The long line was well behaved and thankfully the weather was quite good with a full breeze. The restaurant had multiple staff in safety vests to direct traffic and one was at the door making sure that nothing got out of hand by restricting people entering the place. The clean place was packed with families, and the buzz was palpable. The two cashiers were asking people lots of questions and the young and friendly cashier I had was very soft spoken which required me to ask her to repeat a lot of the questions. I ended up getting a bunch of different things just to try and get a flavor of many different foods. I got a 4-piece mixed grilled and fried chicken, a chicken sandwich, and a 3-piece empanadas. Sides with everything I chose the rice, beans, coleslaw, and plantains. Overall, I liked all the food (I didn't eat all of it, just tried) and will have some for later meals. The fried chicken was crispy and I liked the grilled chicken more. Loved the plantains. The coleslaw was mayo based and had a kick to it. The chicken sandwich was dry and needed sauce on the average roll. I liked the empanadas but my wife was not impressed. They were full of chicken and they had a mustard like sauce inside which I enjoyed. The rice was bland, and beans were flavorful. It was about $36 total for everything. They have Pepsi products here (thumbs down) and also a machine with a trio of other choices (see my picture)! Pollo Campero is not my newest most favorite fried chicken place. But the food was good, and they have a loyalty program if you get their app. They also do catering. When i did a search, they appeared to be all over the Trenton, NJ area so I don't know if this is their first Philadelphia location. Anyway, I wish them much luck in the business. I'm sure the Popeyes across the street was jealous with Pollo Campero's huge outpouring of customers!

So far, everything has always been good: the delivery is on time, the food is hot, and the order is accurate. I like the tikku garlic soy and original garlic spicy chicken. The seasonings are so flavorful, and the chicken is so crispy and juicy. The original garlic spicy is pretty spicy, so be careful if you have low spice tolerance. If you really like onions (I do not), go for the snow onion or green onion chicken. If you like gizzards or are adventurous, the fried gizzards are so flavorful and good. Add some pickled radish to cleanse your palette and balance the flavors - it really helps on cutting the heat if you are eating something spicy. Korean fried chicken is a bit of a splurge, but it is so good and so worth it. The chicken has plenty of meat, and you get a decent amount of food.
