The setup is simple -- a small counter with trays of the different donut flavors available that day. They also offer a few other items like mochi dorayaki, though the donuts definitely seem to be the main attraction. We picked up four donuts to sample some of the unique flavors that you don't typically see elsewhere. I'm not personally huge into mochi-style desserts, but the family seemed to enjoy them. I thought this was the same place as the Mochi donut place in Hmart, apparently it is not. The flavors were good but it's a MOCHI donut so it should have a chewy texture, that's the only reason I like these donuts, I not like normal donuts. These weren't chewy at all, thumbs down. There's ~8 choices so you can easily try them all. My faves: Matcha and black sesame are subtle and unique flavors. Yuzu is a bright burst of citrus. Less keen on: Oreo doesn't stand out at all. I am so sad that mitsuwa is so far from the city, but also kinda glad it is or else id be getting mochi donuts every day. These are literally the best mochi donuts I've ever had in my entire life. Located inside the Mitsuwa Food Court, this place is pretty good for mochi doughnuts. I bought half a dozen for $18 to go: yuzu, black sesame, strawberry, matcha, oreo and ube. I didn't consume them until 2-3 hours after and one the next day, they're all still bouncy and most importantly "not too sweet". I've been to Taiwan quite a few times and every time when I go there, I always go to a donut store called Mister Donut! While I know they probably have a good deal of customers and need to have stuff ready, I'm torn btwn this spot and the mochi donut spot in chinatown on Bayard, where it was made to order. Textures are the same between the two places. And in both instances it's best to eat then same day as it becomes a bit more chewy in 1-2 days.
