This was the first place I ever had a Mochi Donut. They offer 6 or 7 flavors, and now they also have Doriyaki Pancakes and Mochi Waffles on stick. Everything is made fresh/day of. So when they run out, they close shop. Try to get here early on a weekday. Weekends are a bit tricky.

I thought this was the same place as the Mochi donut place in Hmart, apparently it is not. The flavors were good but it's a MOCHI donut so it should have a chewy texture, that's the only reason I like these donuts, I not like normal donuts. These weren't chewy at all, thumbs down. I'll stick to Mochinut at Hmart.

Absolutely delicious, unique, light, great texture and amazing flavors. Unfortunately, a lot of flavors sold out by the time I purchased (2pm on a Monday). Ordered the matcha, Yuzu citrus, strawberry and cream and cinnamon sugar. Matcha and Yuzu were the winners! Cinnamon sugar I would skip because nothing is unique about it. Good but cannot compete against the other flavors. Buy 5 donuts and get the 6th free for about $30. Highly recommend picking up some donuts when you stop at Mitsuwa. If it's winter time, buy donuts first and leave it in your car then go back to grocery shop. These donuts sell out way too fast!

Walked past after hours and saw the sign that stated they are open until they run out. Knew that I needed to come back as I'm a sucker for stores with limited quantities. So I came back the next morning! Get there early as they sometimes open early. They took down the closed sign 15 minutes early and I was first in line. Immediately there were 8-10 people behind me. So be prepared to wait. Current offer is buy 5 and get 1 free. Pretty good for these little beauties. The donuts are soft and chewy with a light glaze/flavor on top - a nice balance. There's ~8 choices so you can easily try them all. My faves: Matcha and black sesame are subtle and unique flavors. Yuzu is a bright burst of citrus. Less keen on: Oreo doesn't stand out at all. Strawberry is an extremely light flavor and raspberry is a bit fake (admittedly, I rarely like fruit flavors).

When we first walked up, there was a huge crowd and not many donuts left so we looped around Mitsuwa and came back. We got back right in time for a fresh new batch! They had a buy 5, get 1 free deal so we got a half dozen with all of the flavors (Oreo, dark chocolate, pumpkin, black sesame, strawberry, and matcha). The donuts were SUPER chewy and delicious. They definitely seemed more chewy than the other mochi donut places I've tried. I love how the donuts are pull-apart so it made it really easy to share with my friends. My favorite ones were the Oreo, black sesame, and pumpkin! Overall, we had a really good experience, and this is my fave mochi donut place so far!

Mochimochi is a mochi donut place located within Mitsuwa. They have a variety of flavors and there is a deal if you buy 6 donuts at once (6 donuts for $18). This place is quite popular and they will close once they finish selling out the mochi donuts for the day, so definitely pick it up earlier when you get to Mitsuwa. My personal favorite is black sesame flavor - if you are a fan of black sesame definitely give it a try! Also - the texture of their mochi donuts is one of the best I've had in the states. Their donut also do not have any oil flavor in it so I would like to call that part out.

I am so sad that mitsuwa is so far from the city, but also kinda glad it is or else id be getting mochi donuts every day. These are literally the best mochi donuts I've ever had in my entire life. I live in Chinatown and the options I have around me are not comparable to mochimochi. Super light, yet so chewy, like extremely and doesn't feel greasy at all. Often times mochi donuts can feel super oily because it soaks up so much of the oil when they fry it, but not mochimochi's donuts! They're also so pretty! I can't wait for the next time I can get my hands on them!

Finally got to try this new dessert trend! It tasted exactly what I expected when you fuse a donut and Mochi. Moist and chewy - perfect texture. This place had a rotating flavors so it's different everyday. The Ube and Black Sesame were scrumptious!

Not all mochi donuts are made equal, and Kai Sweets is an example of that. Their donuts are superb compared to others I've tried. They have the texture down perfectly and they have various flavors from black sesame, oreo, matcha, strawberry, and vanilla. My personal favorites in order are Oreo, strawberry then matcha. I'm a sucker for Mochi donuts and Kai Sweets always satisfies my fix.

Located inside the Mitsuwa Food Court, this place is pretty good for mochi doughnuts. I bought half a dozen for $18 to go: yuzu, black sesame, strawberry, matcha, oreo and ube. I didn't consume them until 2-3 hours after and one the next day, they're all still bouncy and most importantly "not too sweet". It doesn't taste as dense as a regular American yeast or cake donut, the flavors are not over powering either. I'd definitely recommend this as a dessert, light breakfast or snack!

This is the best mochi donut store a that I've been to so far. It's very airy and light, doesn't have a heavy oil flavor. My favorite flavor is probably sesame or grapefruit. They only make a set amount everyday. If you don't arrive by probably 3 pm, there's a very high possibility that it's sold out.

Light, chewy, flavorful, and not greasy even the next day! Black sesame had perfect amount of flavor, is most popular and delish, caramel almond was unique and sweet, matcha and yuzu had good flavor as expected. Service was fast and courteous, would definitely go back to try other flavors. If I lived closer, I'd become a regular!

This location 167 West 74th Street is the original brick and mortar storefront. Levain Bakery does validate for all the hype, sweetness indulgence and fresh-baked artesian cookies and baked goodies. I am Cookie Monster from "Sesame Street" whose eyes are bigger than his stomach who becomes highly excited to engulf all cookies characteristic aesthetic thrashing, splattering every where when consuming within mere minutes. There was a short line waiting to enter for orders to be placed. Upon entering the air conditioning is at full artic chill blast and the air has a sweet aromatic odor emanating throughout. I inquired with the sales associate if the classic chocolate chip cookie contained any nuts who responded "no." I do not have any food allergies. I absolutely do not like nuts in any form. I am not allergic to nuts either. It is not my cup of tea. I am very grateful the classic chocolate chip cookie does not contain any nuts. Customer service is very attentive and exhibited who assisted me with respect, patience and perspective to explain and listen to my requests and needs as I matter. This female server was not curt and I was not rushed. I was acknowledged. I was seen. I was heard. I was not dismissed. I was respected without the standard producing a disgruntled face of reluctance to service me. I am one life in the smallest measurement. The female associate permitted me to take photos of the cookies in the display case without question which is posted with this review. Merchandise of T-shirts, tote bags, mugs, gift tin boxes are available for sale as well. This location is small as it is take-out and go. There are several steps going downward at the entrance which is not ADA accessible. There are some outdoor benches for seating, but no table. I suggest to order and consume in the comfort of your own home for full immerse enjoyment with a table. Yes, cash is accepted as that works greatly for me. Levain Bakery complies with "Prohibition of Cashless Establishments" as of March 21, 2026 where all retail and food establishments in New York State, including New York City, must accept in-person cash payments. Thank you, Levain Bakery for not giving me a red card! I was not blatantly ejected. I would surely return for another visit. Chocolate chip cookie $5.75 each One word: WOW! The interior was oozing with semi-sweetness. The cookie is gargantuan and very thick somewhat bulky. It is massive size well known weighing exactly 6 ounces (170 g) each and measure about 8-10 cm. in diameter and 3-4 cm thick. It is not a traditional flat cookie as I hoped. It is massive chewy interiors. It is soft. It is not crispy. Levain takes the classic chocolate chip cookie and make it their version. It did break apart and dropped onto my plate upon the third bite. It is amazing! I suggest warm-up the cookie in the microwave for approximately 1 minute. I purchased two (2) quantity of these delightful chocolate chip cookies. Delicious. I enjoyed mine with one glass of red wine which I did achieved equanimity state of mind. The red wine was a birthday 2023 gift from a work colleague which I finally opened with good reason. I was floating! Nota Bene: Store policy: "There are no returns on food or beverage. I remembered how big and filling the cookies were, you'd sit in comfort knowing how the flavors pop in your mouth. Now cut to this past year, we found out after exploring the website, there are gifts sets. Our current go to is the new parent gifts. We see it as whether a bew parent or one who is going through the next chapter with more children to raise- it's thoughtful of how a package can bring a smile to some sleep deprived parents who want to eat and relax. This was a cute idea, wish someone would gift to us after our twins were born. One day we want to check out Levain Bakery. I have been to Caroline's several times since it opened its doors to the public. I've tried a few of their items, including the glazed twist, Boston creme, coffee donut, and strawberry filled. The glaze twist is one of my favorites. It's wonderfully sweet while not cloying, and I especially enjoy topping it with the Bon Mama berry jam I have at home. The Boston creme is truly made with love. It's sufficiently stuffed with creme and topped with a thick layer of chocolate ganache - the expensive stuff! The coffee donut is also delicious. Of everything I've tried, the strawberry filled was my favorite. You can tell their strawberry compote is homemade and not too sweet.
