We love the Elite event so much I drove back to Encinitas again the following weekend to pick up a dozen for my son and his friends to snack on during their practice for BroAM. The staff has always been great, super nice and welcoming as soon as you walk through that front door! All donuts are good but so far my favorite favorite favorite have been the xhurro, creme brulee, and that mochi hole filled with creamy goodness (tastes like whipped cream). The donuts are light and fluffy and have a bit of a chew. Love the bright colors and decor throughout the store and the fact that you can see your donuts through the display. I had a strawberry boba tea as well, it was good but not really my favorite type of drink (glad I tired it). Love that the owners are SDSU alum and the fact that they always support the local community.

Came with my daughter who wanted to try them. Store was empty and took a couple of minutes for someone to come out from the back and greet us but the time allowed us to look around. The place was clean and saw they also serve ice cream at the back. We ordered 4 (churro, Nutella, glazed, strawberry and ube Oreo) to take home. They were able to bag our Nutella separately due to allergies. . I sampled a couple of bites from our pack but my kids ate the rest. My daughter enjoyed them. Wasn't overly sweet and good coverage of glaze frosting. Would return.

Omg, these are sooo good! I got the crème brûlée, chocolate and ube. I gave the chocolate to my husband but he ate it all before I was able to take a bite! lol The other two were sooo yummy! I love the chewy/airy texture. Flavor was on point! Such a cute spot. Staff is super nice. Hip vibe. I'll be back! :)

Needed a picker up for my long shift. The service was fast and the place was cute . Decided to try the tiger milk tea with boba. It was definitely aesthetic with all the gradient from the sugar. The boba are soft and chewy, one of the better boba I have tasted and sweet also. It was extremely sweet so would ask for less sugar next time but not sure if I would try it again. The cost of the drinks are on the higher ends for boba drink which is why I don't know if I would order any of the drinks. They have a lot of different drinks. The boba is an extra cost for add on. I also didn't like how there was no cover for the straw. I wasn't going to drink at the moment so would have like it to be protected.

What an amazing place!! We love our Chanukah mochi donuts! The staff was so sweet. Shoutout to Analise and Ryder for being so helpful and kind. And the boba is awesome!! Highly recommend!!

Mochi's Donuts is literally an unmatched donut shop. Not only because the donuts themselves are unreal, but because of the customer service from the owner. We walked in before they were even open and she still welcomed us in. She gave my kids an entire tutorial on how donuts are made, showed them the process, and even let them see the register. And I promise this is genuinely an anonymous review. I have zero connection to the business. I just honestly feel like this level of kindness and customer service barely exists anymore, and she was absolutely amazing. If you're going to any other donut shop in North County, honestly... you're failing at life

I love these donuts! I am kinda glad their location isn't super close to me or l would probably be buying them wayyyyy too often. But every time I am near Homegoods (once to twice a month), l have made it my next stop to come here after. I absolutely love the texture that the mochi lends to their donuts. It gives them such a nice "chew". My husband took one bite and said he knew why l liked them so much. I cannot pick which l like better, their mochi ball donuts (crispy and slight crunch on the outside and extreme chew in the middle, also possible custards can be added at your say so), or their regular mochi donut that has what look like little balls (mochi, l am sure!) under the battered breading of the donut. Either way, you truly cannot go wrong! I try to buy a couple mochi balls and around a half dozen of the mochi donuts. Soooooo good! Their decor and merch is also really cute. The family that owns and runs this establishment is super sweet and helpful. I love that they have touch screens to order, or if you're technologically jinxed, like me, they'll help you order by just telling them what you want. Come give this place a try if you love donuts and see what all the yum is about!

customer service was immaculate. the worker described our options really well and created a great environment. we ordered 3 donuts and 2 boba drinks. the donuts were good, just not your classic mochi donut if you've had them before. these are more bread and less of the chewy mochi texture. the drinks were also really good but definitely too sweet for my liking and i do enjoy sweet drinks. we ordered both with recommended sweetness but i would definitely recommend going down one or two (25-50%). the matcha was high quality. i really enjoyed the boba, sweet and chewy which has been hard for me to find in san diego. definitely check it out if you're in encinitas. read more

Omg, how have I never had one of these before?! Have I been living in a cave?! Just popped my mochi donut cherry here and they did not disappoint! The crème brule flavor was delicious, texture was so unique!!! It didn't taste all oily like usual donuts and is so satisfying!!! They also have boba here, I mean... I am one happy gal! Picked up two dozen donuts for a beach potluck today. Staff is so friendly and accommodating. At the potluck they did not last long and people loved them. They were the star of the show. Now you don't have to go to the islands to get your Malasadas (Portuguese fried donut). Stopped in to this very recently opened Mochi Donut shop and was greeted by the owner/operator who told us she had just recently opened for business. The Malasada was AMAZING and right out of the fryer. The Mochi Donuts were extremely fresh and decorated beautifully with a great assortment of flavors. If you want to get your Malasada fix or haven't tried a Mochi Donut before you have to go and supply this local business. You will not be disappointed. read more

There's parallel street parking throughout the area, so you might get lucky and find a spot nearby. I ended up parking on one of the side streets, which worked out perfectly. I came here on a Sunday afternoon, and it was definitely busy. We had to wait a little while for a table because several tables still needed to be cleaned before they could seat new guests. The staff was incredibly friendly, though, and we were seated as soon as they could. It did take about 15 minutes before a server was able to come over and take our order, but the restaurant was completely packed, so it's something to keep in mind if you're in a hurry. After spending the day at the beach, we were really just in the mood for drinks. I ordered the Blood Orange Margarita, which can be served with Tajín, sea salt, or no rim at all. It was really good and definitely on the stronger side, which I appreciated. My only complaint was that there was a bit too much ice, but the flavor itself was great. The atmosphere is what really makes this place stand out. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, large open windows that let in plenty of fresh air, and a fun, lively vibe that makes it a great place to relax after a beach day. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the ambiance and cocktails, just be prepared for a little wait if you visit during peak hours.

We sat by the open window facing the street, and it was nice just enjoying the beautiful weather and watching people walk by. That's one of the things I love about the San Diego area--it just has a peaceful, laid-back atmosphere. The food was really good. The pork BBQ was my favorite, my little one couldn't get enough of the adobo, and the halo-halo was amazing. It was so good that we ended up ordering a second one! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. It was just an enjoyable meal all around. We'll definitely be back the next time we're visiting the San Diego area. Thanks again for the great food and hospitality!

I ordered the beef salpicao which I had never tried before and it was amazing. The beef was tender and juicy with rich flavor. The flavor was delicious and it wasn't too salty. It was one of those flavors that I think everyone would enjoy if they tried it. My friend had the lechon sisig which I tried and thought was also good. I also tried the lychee beer which was super delicious and did not taste beer-like or alcoholic at all. It was more like a sweet treat to enjoy. This restaurant is tucked away. I remember walking in a little later on a weekday with a friend and the restaurant was completely empty except 3 other people. I hope they get more business (if they haven't already) because their food is great and it was easy to find parking I am looking forward to coming here again and trying new dishes. I'm especially looking forward to getting a dessert next time.

They were both incredibly sweet and eager to answer my questions about their delicious offerings. The selection of flavors is impressive, making it a perfect go-to spot for doughnut lovers.
