There were lots of treats out, including discounted pastries from the day prior. There was ample parking in the lot, including designated stalls for Cupcakes Boom customers. The shop is very clean with seating inside. I got the cookie butter chai latte. The chai flavor was good, but man this drink was sweet! I generally have a sweet tooth, but even this drink was way too sweet for me. I don't know what I was thinking getting an already sweet drink and adding cold foam on top. That was definitely on me though, and I need to come back to try the same drink less sweetened without the cold foam. Overall, I could tell the drink had good flavor, but it was just really sweet.

I wanted a flavored gender reveal cake and we weren't allowed to pick anything flavor of cake other than vanilla, which I can understand for the frosting it's easier to color a vanilla frosting. But cake? Nothing else ? Not even Haupia ? I've baked cakes for years. I wanted another local bakery to do this surprise for us and such a disappointment, clearly over baked and done the day before. Wasn't fresh. For the price it was a huge miss. Frosting was nice. And yes sadly we will finish the $80 6 " inch around Vanilla on vanilla cake with Ube ice cream. Highly recommend.

I thought it would be nice to have leftovers so I ordered a whole. I have leftovers for several meals; I could not finish even one half. Such a good sandwich! In the past I have also enjoyed the chicken pesto sandwich. The shortrib was my favorite. Everything is freshly made to order and the owner is a lovely person and clearly a hard worker. So we got a full size. SHE WAS NOT JOKING! The piece pictured counts as a half of the sandwich. It was bigger than my labubu! They don't use your typical bahn mi bread, it's more like a ciabatta bread, but it was so delicious! There was a large piece of soft tender short rib perfectly seasoned and vegetables for days! My mom and I stared at it and wondered how we were going to be able to take a bite because it was so huge (don't worry we figured it out) Before leaving we also grabbed a Dubai chocolate cheesecake.What a delicious dessert! My favorite cheesecake that I've had anywhere for sure! A huge plus is that on top of the delicious food was that the the place being clean, inviting, and the people there were so sweet! There is parking and there are plenty of tables to sit & enjoy. There are signs indicating where the food court area is located. It is nice and ample to eat your Malasada or donut. This spot is located in a food court area and was actually the only place open when we arrived. Since it is a stall, there is not too much to say other than there were two people working and a large display case filled with donuts, with malasadas in the back. After looking things over I asked if they had a lilikoi circle donut. They did not, but they recommended a strawberry glazed donut with lilikoi filling and I went with that. It came out nicely decorated with a pink glaze and a small dab of cream on top with a butterfly. When I bit into it I was happy with the flavor. The donut itself was light and fluffy and the strawberry glaze was solid. The real standout though was the lilikoi filling, which had that great balance of sharpness and sweetness and paired really well with the donut. My dad ordered a coconut malasada and said it was really good as well. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. They had a big selection of donuts, I enjoyed mine, and I would like to try their malasadas next time.

Hubs has a sweet tooth, and I like the sweet mochi myself. The line to place my order was completely empty! All the folks standing around were waiting for their orders. I stepped in the tiny storefront and placed my custom order and then grabbed a tray of buttermochi that was ready to go. After paying, I asked how long was the wait time and the cashier said 20-30 minutes. Instead of standing around, I went back to the car and hung out with BIL and watched for the people who were before me to get their orders and leave. I waited outside for about 5 minutes before they called my name and my mochi order was ready to go. There were some tourists who came by who didn't want to wait for 30 minutes and were ready to turn around and leave, but I told them there were ready made packages that they could grab and go, the rest of us were waiting on custom orders. They were really happy to hear that and they bought their mochi and headed out. I will definitely call ahead next time I go to Hilo, the wait is small kine humbug, but the mochi is oh so ono! (translated: the wait is an inconvenience, but the mochi is very delicious).
