Service is quick since everything is grab and go style. I tried the spicy beef and cheese patty and Jamaican jerk chicken salad bowl. The patty had a golden, flaky, toasty crust with a nicely spiced beef and cheese filling. It was still warm too! The salad was fresh with lovely seasoning on the chicken. The pineapple provided a nice burst of tartness and the pumpkin seeds added crunchiness. Such a refreshing salad to go with a hearty beef patty. Overall, Jam Pot is a great spot for a fresh, flavor-packed lunch when you are in a hurry or just craving a warm and toasty Jamaican patty. They do have a lot of vegan options which is amazing! We are visiting here from Kansas City, Mo. We happened to see this little place. Oh my, it's just the absolute best, plus Just what our bodies were craving after all the heavy rice, and fried foods we had been eating. Do not pass this place up. I got pressed juice, my husband got a grain bowl, a chia pudding cup, and we tried the little chicken curry and vegetarian Jamaica pies. The crust on those were light, flaky, not greasy or heavy. The fillings on both were great, packed with flavor, but not heavy or greasy at all. Try this place, you won't be sorry. You can take the food on a picnic, take it home, or on the run in your car for travels. Whatever you do, just don't pass it up. Visited this small cozy Jamaican cafe to try their pastries. Tried spicy beef, curry chicken, and mild beef. Was going to try spicy beef with cheese, but they ran out of it. They came out real hot and crispy. The pastries are very well made, flaky and have a perfect layer of dough. I would recommend others to try these pastries. read more

Jam Pot Hawaii exceeded my expectations. Like its owners, the cafe is beautiful, vibrant, colorful, warm, and filled with aloha. The vibes were vibing, for sure. Since this was my first time, I wanted a little of everything. Here is what we got. Jamaican Beef Patties (Spicy and Mild): The crust was gorgeous! That vibrant golden yellow must have been from turmeric or curry in the dough. Whatever it was, it was amazing! The flavor of the dough itself was incredible. The pastry was flaky, buttery, thin, crispy, and gentle to the bite. It was sturdy enough to hold the filling without being too thick or doughy. As for the FILLING! Bruh! She stole the show! The filling really said, "Move aside, crust, 'cause it's my time to shine!" The beef filling was unbelievably delicious. I'm talking well-seasoned, juicy, tender, and oomphy. I tried figuring out the flavors I was picking up on, but I don't know if I'm right. I was tasting onions, garlic, thyme, maybe allspice, and something with a kick, which I think was probably scotch bonnet. There was even a slight sweetness I was getting, which really hit this out of the park for me. Maybe from bell peppers. Whatever it was, the balanced blend of flavors blew me away. These patties were hands down the BEST I have ever had! Such an EXPERIENCE! I tried three of their juices today and loved them all. Their fresh, cold-pressed juices will have you feeling grounded, refreshed, revitalized, and nourished. I also tried sorrel for the first time! That was an experience and a half! It was bold, tangy, floral, spiced, and invigorating. It's one of Jamaica's most cherished beverages, especially during the holiday season. If you're not a juicer and can't appreciate the earthy quality you get when cold-press juicing, the juices might take some getting used to, but for me, they were GAS! As for the chia puddings, BRAH! Both the reggae and the cinnamon chia puddings were ʻono and pono. The chia puddings were pure decadence and comfort! I know they were "healthy," but to me, they could pass for dessert. They were THAT GOOD! Now, on to the jerk chicken wraps. I thought the wraps were beautiful, and the ingredients couldn't have been better. The freshness, crunch, spiciness, smokiness, and creaminess were all there, but I wish the jerk sauce had more kick. A little zestiness would've really made the wraps POP! These were good, but I know they'd be great with a little something zingy. My experience at Jam Pot Hawaii was unforgettable, and I am thrilled that I finally visited. Definitely not a second time! Salads, wraps and juices beckon from the cold cases as you walk in. Colorful, fresh and robust, they are tempting... it would be a great idea to grab one (or more) for later, but they are not our siren song right now. Sitting unassumingly on the counter by the register is a hot case, filled with rows of beautiful golden pastries - the source of the enticing aroma that pulled us in, Jamaica patties! Spicy and mild versions of vegetable, beef, and beef with cheese, surrounded by a delicate, flaky crust. We shared a single beef with cheese, and my biggest vacation regret may well be not getting a bunch more to freeze and take back home.
