Tried working with Robin on our wedding years ago, horrible experience. We were clear on our budget, and she basically tried to increase it 80% - when we said we couldnt do it she said she would work with us. We agreed on a menu and asked for an estimate and contract for 4 months - 4 MONTHS OF HER SAYING THE CONTRACT WOULD COME OVER IN A WEEK OR 2!!! It was honestly crazy as we never called or emailed excessively. Maybe she was holding out for a bigger event or pay day, but all she did was waste a lot of time and put us in a scramble with a few months to go to figure our catering and cake. I recently contacted the bakery on the website to order a cake. We wanted a single tier cake for us to cut in to. We are getting our cupcakes from a family friend. I sent photos of ideas for decoration and such. At first it took a while for us to get responses from the bakery via email. Once we began our communications they company was very prompt in responding. I absolutely love the design they came up with for our cake and I can't wait to see it in person. read more

I ordered a petit birthday cake and some GF chocolate cupcakes. They were very beautiful and delicious ! The ordering process was a little painful, but it appears the website had a few hiccups. I would encourage any future customers that after submitting the online order form if you don't hear back within a week send them an email. That seems to work. Otherwise, I'd say they were professional to work with and got all the details correct. I like their quality ingredients as I wasn't interested in just your run of the mill grocery store bakery cake. I was asked if I still wanted to order, I emailed back and said that I did. Again... I didn't receive a reply back until I messaged her 2 days later. I was very much interested in ordering from this bakery because her work is beautiful. But I was left disappointed. I was given an estimate of $72 which I thought was a little high for a small cake (5") but I accepted the estimate through email. I didn't receive a confirmation email back until four days later. Then I get a email a few days ago out of no where with a new estimate of $88. I'm just done. I bet this is a awesome bakery. Just by her pictures and menu alone I know I would have enjoyed every bite of the cake I wanted to order. The ordering process just needs work. I honestly felt like my cake order was pushed aside cause I wasn't ordering this grand custom cake that would earn her hundreds of dollars. Just a small one to feed my family of three for my little ones birthday. But it's ok. Hopefully I find a baker before visiting Kona. read more

Robin by far is one of the most talented bakers on the Island. We have ordered a few cakes from Pineapple bakery over the years. Details are always on point. Flavors are delicious. Though communication was a bit slow and sometimes succinct to the point of leaving some confusion, they delivered everything on time and the quality was above and beyond expectations. Usually, wedding cake is dry and flavorless. Our pistachio cake was rich and moist. I loved every single dessert: cream puffs, green tea macarons, lime tartlet, lilikoi cheesecake, and haupia cheesecake. Yum. We ordered a Butter cake with lilikoi curd for our small wedding dinner. This cake was spectacular! It was just the perfect amount of sweetness and the cake moist and flavorfull. Due to their high volume of business, we were nicely accommodated for our small and simple order. We requested simple piping decorated around the top and bottom and fresh orchids placed on top. I ordered a macadamia nut coconut chocolate layer cake for my daughter's 30th birthday party. The 3 tier beautiful cake was the most delicious cake anyone at the party had ever tasted. The dense chocolate cake was buttery and the filling of buttercream mac nut coconut was the perfect combination.
