Shake and blue Hawaii swirl.
Tyler F.

The interior of this place is super creative and a fun place to hang out rather than grabbing the ice cream and leaving. I had the shake, and this was the first time I had something like it - it wasn't my personal favorite but it was still very good. The swirls and topping options were really creative!

Excellent service. My husband got the gym discount because he has big biceps. Very delicious, soft serve and it's so pretty.

Ube swirl ice cream and blue vanilla/strawberry swirl with condensed milk!

Amazing service! Fast and low cost! Tbh for their portion and their quality and variety they have, it really is a great well worth prices. The ice cream was so soft and flavorful. delicious and not so heavy. The setting of the place was super cool, they played music, and the guy working at counter was so laid back and friendly. :)

Lilikoi Chili Peppa on the left and Hau-U-Bebe. Very pretty, very sweet.

With such a cute name, who could resist? We really really wanted to like Pudgee Panda but the specials were too sweet for our taste. Very clean, open and bright. We ate out on a little bench outside. Person at the counter was very friendly, wore gloves - nice to see food safety in action. Ordered: Hau-u-Bebe - love the color, all was just too sweet. Lilikoi Chili Peppa was a delicious flavor, tangy, and then chili pepper came and kind of ruined the experience. A dash would be fine, but it was too much. Perhaps try a basic flavor and may not be too sweet? I'm sure the kids would love this place with all the colors, syrups and toppings. Just not our thing. Evening gets REALLY windy up there.

I wanted ice cream for dessert and found this place when doing a quick search - and I'm so glad I did! The ice cream was delicious and unique, I had never seen some of these flavors as soft serve!! Definitely recommend stopping by! I recommend the butter pecan with fruity pebbles! My husband had the blue Hawaiian and strawberry swirl - he also loved his! The regular was much bigger than we both expected! The employee was SO KIND! She let me try flavors and even added an extra topping when I couldn't decide between them. She also brought over a new lychee flavor for us to try - which was so unique! Definitely stop by and try this place!

Delicious soft serve and ice cream. Kids loved it, as did the grownups! Friendly staff also, which is always a plus.

Original Big Island Shave Ice - Shave ice cream

If you are anywhere near Waikoloa, stopping by Original Big Island Shave Ice Co. is an absolute…read moremust! We have tried shave ice at a lot of different places across the islands, but this spot completely blew us away. My absolute favorite thing about them is that they offer natural fruit flavors, and the difference is night and day! They taste so much better than those bright, super-sweet artificial syrups you find at most other stands. You can actually taste real, authentic fruit in every single bite, and the texture of the shaved ice itself is melt-in-your-mouth soft. The staff is super friendly, the portions are great, and everything feels handcrafted with care. It's easily one of our favorite treats on the Big Island, and we will definitely be back every time we visit!

So the real fruit flavors here are AMAZING. Very flavorful without being overly sweet. On flavor…read morealone 5/5 stars. On service, maybe a 3/5. They're very short and clipped, which I get because there were quite a few people in line, but when we went back up to ask a question, they were not willing to help until we (overtly and somewhat rudely) had to flag them down. Now, it seems like whoever is pouring the syrup is REALLY inconsistent. My shave ice was perfect. Well doused through and through without pooling in the bottom. However my mom's coconut was literally made with maybe a tablespoon of syrup. 80% of the entire ice had no flavor at all, and when we asked about it, they were quite rude saying "you can see some right here". So for that, you're kinda rolling the dice, I suppose. If it's close by, might be worth a shot, but I'd caution driving here form further away since it seems like you don't really know what you'll get. They also charge $0.52 for an extra empty cup, which seems a little chinsy to me.

There's an ABC store here, a pricey market and a deli. We got some burgers that were just ok with overcooked fries and some groceries for our suite because we were cooking breakfast at the hotel. The store itself is enormous and beautiful, of course, but my complaint is specifically about the food section, where they prepare and sell meals for customers to enjoy on-site. We decided to give the food a try, and the experience was unnecessarily frustrating from the start. After receiving our meals, I asked the cashier for some hot sauce and teriyaki sauce. Her immediate response was essentially "no" to both requests. "No hot sauce, just Tabasco." Um... Tabasco is hot sauce, so yes, I'll gladly take that! Then, when I asked about teriyaki sauce, she said, "No, you'd have to pay for that." Okay??? Then charge me! I wasn't asking for a complimentary lifetime supply of teriyaki sauce. I just wanted some sauce with my food! And unfortunately, the kalua pork moco loco desperately needed it. Everything was so bland that the tiny amount of hot sauce they initially gave me wasn't nearly enough. Not wanting to go through another awkward exchange over something as trivial as condiments, I sent my husband back and asked him to get six packets of Tabasco. They gave him two. When he politely asked for more, they looked at him as though he'd requested that they draw blood from their own veins to produce the additional sauce. And even after all that, it STILL wasn't enough, that's how bland the food was. I genuinely cannot stand establishments that are so absurdly stingy with condiments that customers have to keep asking, over and over again, only to be reluctantly handed another packet or two. It's uncomfortable, unnecessary, and frankly ridiculous, especially when the food itself is so lacking in flavor that the condiments are doing most of the work. For a place marketed as a more upscale, "gourmet" version of ABC Stores, you'd think the food would be flavorful enough to stand on its own, or at the very least, that getting a few extra packets of hot sauce wouldn't feel like negotiating a hostage release. Beautiful store, disappointing food, and an unnecessarily unpleasant experience over something that should have been incredibly simple.

It's that good. This little coffee shop does a lot of business. The line wasn't long though and they work quickly preparing the food with love and attention to detail. You can eat inside or out with lots of tables to choose from. The açaí itself was a bit soft, but I liked that it wasn't hard as a rock. The granola was great. The berries and banana were plentiful. The coffee's were standard Latte's but their Açai bowl was delicious; especially with the fress tropical fruit on top. The one kicker is their high prices for their pre-made" breakfast dishes. Their not in my opinion full meals, but you'd think it was buy the price. When I got the Açai bowl for breakfast we planned on getting one of those dishes but the price was off putting and we ate elsewhere.
