    Crispy spring rolls
    Joe L.

My husband and I walked by the restaurant a few weeks ago. It was not opened yet but the menu looked good. After running an errand this morning, we decided to give it a try for lunch. I'm glad we made the trek from Broadway and Cambie where we were do our shopping. We love the place! We ordered an order of crispy spring rolls to share. I had the beef pho and my husband ordered the grilled pork vermicelli. Both the pho and the vermicelli were very good. I love that fresh pho noodles are used. The grilled pork pieces were tender and juicy and the sauce from the pork helped dress the vermicelli very nicely. The crispy spring rolls were sooooo good we could not get enough of it. As soon as it was plated on the table, we could see the crispiness from the colour and could not wait to dive in. We could not have enough of the garlic oil on the table. Although it was not necessary at all given our orders were flavourful on their own, the oil added another layer to the depths of the flavours of our dishes. The service team was super helpful and friendly and the decor was inviting. I asked my husband if he would come back. He said "oh definitely".

Amazing food - every dish we tried was 10/10!! Such fresh, delicious ingredients. We had the papaya salad with soft shell crab, the grilled pork banh mi, Moc special platter and 2 noodle soups. All were pleasing to the eyes and super tasty. The interior atmosphere of the restaurant was both calming and beautiful! The customer service was top notch! We can't wait to come back!

The space is much nicer, with high ceilings and lots of light - great looking bistro. I ended up trying the following: - Mussels: Very good. Classic dish, but I really like the use of cream in the broth. - Bánh Mì Cay Hải Phòng (Spicy Baguette Sticks): Good. A nice little snack, although it would be easy to recreate at home. - Lamb Chops: Very good. Cooked just right, and the pepper sauce added extra flavour. - Fried Frog Legs: Very good. This was probably the surprise dish for me. They weren't just the legs, but the entire bottom of the frog, so the pieces were huge. The garlic, butter and chili flakes gave it a extra punch. I really enjoyed this one. - Pho Bo: Good. Not the best pho I've had, but it's good enough to stand on it's own. Service was quite good. Very cheerful and quite attentive. Overall a nice meal. It's a great space, the food is solid, and service to match. What I really like is having the variety of both French and Vietnamese dishes, without either of them suffering in quality. Only downside is that is it expensive for what you get.

The menu isnt big but they do have a reasonable selection of items but mostly dinner entrees We ordered a mini version of pho bo (beef broth pho), french escargot and the spicy baguette stick. The bone broth was good and the price for the mini version is good for a light lunch. We both enjoyed the spicy baguette stick with the pork pate. A pleasant surprise. However i find the escargot a bit pricey with the quantity and the way it was prepared. Slightly too oily to my personal prefence The iced vietnamese coffee we ordered tasted similar to a regular iced coffee, missing the sweet condensed milk flavor for a vietnamese coffee

It is delicious and very reasonably priced. I eat dinner at this place almost weekly with friends. The service is so prompt, we barely sit down and there's cold water and menus on the table. And the orders come to the table quickly. Over the past few months, they have been updating the ambiance. The first time I noticed was when they added new lighting, then the freshly painted walls. They are getting better and better. I highly recommend this place.

Special beef noodle soup - Different from the ones I usually get because it included star anise and tomato, giving it a brown colour and rich flavours. They have a…read moresizeable vegetarian section of the menu, including a vegetarian (vegan) noodle soup with veggies and tofu. My wife and I stopped in for dinner one evening and each ordered the aforementioned noodle soup--she got a small ($11.75 plus tax) and I got a regular ($12.75 plus tax). We also got an order of salad rolls ($7.50 plus tax), which comes with 2 rolls. The rolls came quite late. They were pretty standard, coming with fried tofu, vermicelli, and lettuce. The peanut dipping sauce was on the liquidy, salty soy sauce side of things -- I wish it were creamier and less salty. 3/5 The soups were decent. The broth was peppery, with some nice, gentle spices detectable in there. I asked for a side of chili oil, which helped amplify the broth. You get a generous portion of noodles, fried tofu, and vegetables (broccoli, bok choy, carrot). Unfortunately the veggies were quite overcooked -- the broccoli was almost soggy, so were the carrots and bok choy. 3/5 All in all, middle-of-the-road veggie pho. The broth is pleasant. The veggies were overcooked, but plentiful and nicely chosen. Decent place for veggie pho.
