After an exciting day exploring Stanley Park, we decided to have lunch at a spacious restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. We did have to wait a bit for a table, but once we were seated, we dove into the menu and ordered a few tasty items: - **Nachos with pulled pork**: These had great flavor! However, we found that there were a lot of chips compared to the toppings, leaving us with a few extra plain chips on our plate. - **Sweet potato waffle fries**: These were definitely the star of the meal! They were even better with the scrumptious chipotle aioli--what a fabulous combo! - **Beer**: We went for the Sun Setter, but ran into a little hiccup with the tap that resulted in quite a bit of foam. So, we switched to another beer to enjoy instead. Overall, the food really hit the spot, but the service could have been better. We had some trouble getting our server's attention during the meal, and there were delays in letting us know that our first beer choice was unavailable. Despite the server issues I'd definitely visit if I'm in the area again.

This brewery and pub is located at the edge of Stanley Park, overlooking English Bay. The menu offers pub favorites and their own line of beers. Most of their beers are not to my taste, but the coffee stout I had on a recent visit was very good. The highlight of the menu is the potstickers, which are consistently perfectly seared, and served in a delicious umami/vinegary sauce. Pretzel bites are less interesting, and need more of a crust and more salt. The pizza is also pretty good, with flavorful pepperoni, although I prefer it without the hot honey. Sitting at the bar in the room on the left affords a view of the park and English Bay, and it's a quieter room. Service by Michelle was super cheerful and attentive.

A good solid brewery with great vibes, especially on a nice day in Vancouver. We got lucky that it stopped sprinkling and the sun came out. Tons of folk vibing and having a good time. Optimal location in Stanley Park.

Cool spot to check out if walking thru the park. 16 beers on tap. Wait time was kind of long for understaffing issues (tables were open), a bit vague about wait time "just when we are able to sit you guys, can't say how long for sure". Service was great once sat though (30 min for group of 7) Got the two hazies, pivot was better than their parklandia imo For being inside the park, beers were priced well ($8.50). Not sure I'd come back but nice to have a beer on the patio on a sunny day

Stopped in on a rainy Monday afternoon. It was not crowded at all. Were sat right away and ordered beers. Nothing hits better than an ice cold crisp IPA. The Trail Hopper was very good. I ordered the fish n chips and my fiance ordered the Fish Po Boy with a side salad. The Cajun seasoning on the fish was nice. The fish n chips were good - came with tartar sauce and ketchup for the fries. Even though the place is on site at a touristy spot, it wasn't too expensive and it was pretty casual. They even had board games you could play so I'm sure the place gets packed on weekends.

This is a fun spot. We were able to get a table in a busy Saturday while enjoying Stanley Park. We tried some of the cocktail & beers available. I had the Huckleberry Margarita, which was not too sweet, hitting the spot. My food option was the Beet & Blue salad. It was very fresh, tons of beets, great portion, very filling. Hubs had the fields greens salad with chicken. We enjoyed the vibe here. Our server, Declan, was very friendly, and gave us prompt service.

They have a great Happy Hour menu till 1700, with a rotation of local and house brews. We ate there twice on a trip to the city and found the food, atmosphere and vibe the best!

it is brilliant to have a restaurant by the enormous park! We arrived little after 1PM and only waited about 10 minutes. There is plenty of space inside and outdoor. Our server Michelle was super friendly, always had a smile on her face! The food was decent and enjoyed some of the local beers on tap! I would recommend this place if you are looking for a quick meal before venturing out to Stanley Park!

I ordered the flight of lighter beers - All of them were amazing. Also ordered the hummus appetizer dish which came with pita, carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes. 10/10 for the food and beer! We will for sure be back before our trip is over.

Great location and great beer flights! Im low carb and they did not have any options besides a salad sadly. Service was decent but the location was everything!

4 beer flight - Parkhouse Blonde Ale, Sunsetter Peach Wheat Ale, Beijo Pale Ale, Noble Pilsner

My girls made a reservation for 6 pm here and I absolutely had a decent time. Cons- -Service: was not tended to and did not check on us unless we flagged them down. -Parking: small parking lot up front but there are other lots available around the park where you can easily walk from and to. Pros- -Drinks: enjoyed the beer. Tried the 4 beer flight and each had a varying light to very present hoppy taste. My favorite was the Sunsetter Peach Wheat - was light with a hoppy peach taste to it. Two of the girls loved the Rum Punch - very tropical and sweet. One of the girls loved the See Ya Later Ranch Nelly Rosé - semi-dry and refreshing. -Dessert: two ordered the cheesecake and loved the cherries on top. Was smooth throughout but crust was not as crumbly as expected. Overall, I will come back here again. Enjoyed my taste of some good beer. However, service i am hoping gets better. I understand it was a bit busy but we felt ignored so hoping that changes.

    Hazy Pale Ale

Visited here and tried the hazy pale ale and the Sunsetter peach wheat ale. Good beer and great location. Our service was not the best- she kind of just left our drinks and left - no small talk or conversation or coming to see how we were doing. We kind of had to fend for ourselves and flag her down when we needed something but beer was good!

    Parkhouse Sandwich

Came here after wandering around the park for a few hours. Great spot with a large patio and great views. The staff was friendly and was happy to accommodate us with our stroller. The beer menu is pretty good and given that it was a warm day I tried their peach beer. It was really smooth and refreshing especially because it was non alcoholic. My wife got a hazy pale and really enjoyed hers as well. The food here is great too. We got an order of the fish tacos and the parkhouse sandwich. Good size portions, especially the tacos. Nice and crispy batter that isn't over bearing or too greasy. The sandwich had a great flavor with the pickled onions really stepping it up and the ciabatta bread was great. A great place to stop and get some good food and beer in a beautiful park.

But don't sleep on Squamish's limited-but-delicious food scene. A solid place to start is Backcountry Brewing, a blink-and-you'll-miss-it bar and restaurant on the back side of the towns main shopping plaza. Since debuting in 2017, Backcountry has been a British Columbia beer darling; now, Backcountry prides itself on an ambitious lineup of limited-release beers. From the outside, the converted warehouse blends in with the rest of the industrial block. But inside, Backcountry is lively and inviting. The accents sport a tan and teal color palette. The bar to the right is decked with retro bulbs and a letterboard menu. Sound-dampening panels and camo-shaded lamps hang down from the soaring exposed HVAC. Each table is decked with a laminated BC map and mid-century modern chairs. Eighties tunes echo around the halls. My partner and I visited Backcountry after a full day of hiking, ready to chow down; we ordered a sandwich, a pizza, and a few flights. The Soprano -- Italian Sando was piled high with capicola, mortadella, and prosciutto cotto on a fluffy, poppyseed-laden foccacia. Our side of Five Guys-style, wedge-cut fries was rich and salty, and we loved each one of Backcountry's house-made sauces more than the last. The Meat Your Maker pizza was a deliciously nostalgic riff on the classic meat-lovers pizza. The thin crust stood up against the hefty helping of toppings, and the poofy cornicione paired perfectly with the exciting sauces. On the brewery side, the flights proved to be a fun deal. Across the beers, I was most impressed by the sours. Our collective favorite was the "Plan B? We Need A Plan C, D, E, We Need More Alphabets" (a basil-forward pineapple sour), while the "I'll Take You To the Candy Shop" (a peach-centric sour) and the "Might As Well Go For A Soda" (a gummy cola-esque cherry sour) were strong competitors. Meanwhile, the non-sour beers I tried were relative duds, including the "Never Taken A Shortcut Before?" oatmeal stout and the Sneaky Peach Cider. The service was friendly but somewhat inattentive throughout the meal, and the bill came to about $60 (after tax and tip). More than anything else, Backcountry satisfied -- it achieved the ideal brewery balance of fun, elevated, and casual. After our stay in Whistler, I admittedly had low expectations for Squamish, but Backcountry Brewing was a beyond-pleasant surprise, and I surely would visit again.

Their draft beer selection is maybe 1/3 less than the Squamish location, but that is expected. It is a long drive from Squamish after all. The pizzas here are available all day (they are only available after 1500 at the Squamish location), which is super awesome. I got to try 2 of them.
