The service truly made our experience at this place & both of us would return again just because of how well we were treated. We nearly didn't stay, as we were having so much troubles with paying for parking. But we were glad that we did. As it allowed me to keep on top of my chronic pain issues finding parking so close to a restaurant & was accessible /no barriers to contend with. I really appreciated that I got to select where to sit (some table locations I just know up front my cane is going to be a tripping hazard) & it helped they were honest about noise level being lower up front (when sports are on TV & there's a large group at the back, prepare for it to be louder the further you get into the place for seating options or walking to the washroom). We did notice the giant covered patio as seating options for when we return on a warmer day. Our waiter was really knowledgeable with the menu, had excellent but short banter, very patient through our parking payment stress & never pressured us to order quickly at any point. He truly got that we needed extra time. We ended up ordering mocktails & nachos (Photo is deceiving, as it truly filled the two of us up). There wasn't even any room for us to think about dessert. It was nice to not be the only one that night with accessibility needs & speaks volumes if others also seek this location out for an enjoyable night. Bathrooms are at the very end of the place but again, well set up to access & you don't feel like you need to side shuffle to get all the way back there. As neither of us are from North Van & unfamiliar with Lonsdale, parking on the street is extremely hard to find & limited on time. So Underground seemed like a bonus that we could add to time if needed & we didn't have to get soaked by the heavier rain that night. Parking logistics note (that the restaurant has no control over)... Even though I was using an iPhone (that I successfully used to pay for Van & Edmonton parkades) & my friend with a much newer android, we had a ton of issues with payment by scanning while underground. Issues continued while sitting in the restaurant (please tell one of the companies to just add a machine down there). Truly, we tried for 15 minutes downstairs before we thought to go check if there's free parking if there for drinks & food. Nope. The restaurant-pub is totally separate from the building & parkade management. However, the waiter literally came to our rescue with a better photo of all 3 different choices for scan to pay for parking & patiently checked on us at our table several times realizing how cumbersome the parking payment was that night (& mentioned it was the same for many other customers that month). FYI - take time to compare parking payment options, as they all show different pricing even after 6 pm. Also, you'll have to go down the parking ramp to return to the vehicle later in the evening. As the door to the elevator locked quite early in the evening.

Very popular spot on Lonsdale near the rec centre and highway. Lots of outdoor seating, fairly nice ambiance. Large selection of beer. Wait staff seems pretty friendly. I ordered a goddess bowl and upgraded to get grilled salmon. It was good, though I wouldn't say anything special. Salmon was well done but not overcooked. I liked having avocado. Something hard and reddish and I couldn't tell what it was. My son ordered a pork belly bowl which he said was just OK. Didn't sound like an endorsement. The piece of belly I tried was not bad. I think if you come here, it's more to enjoy the ambiance and outdoor seating.

Visited the relatively new Steamworks location in North Vancouver a few weeks ago and the food was better than expected. We went on a weekday evening and they were surprisingly 70% full. We ordered the chicken bao for appetizer $16 (crispy chicken, sweet chili sauce, cucumber, lettuce & kimchi aioli in a steamed bun) and the brewhouse burger $24 (smashed to order, fresh ground chuck, onion ring, smoked cheddar, bourbon bacon jam, bbq sauce, dijon-mayo, lettuce, tomato). Both dishes were delicious. The chicken bao was perfectly crunchy, packed with flavour, and the bao bun was light and fluffy. The burger was stacked to perfection and was delicious...the onion ring and the bacon jam were 10/10. I'm giving them 4 stars because (1) we asked for the appetizer to come out first and they brought the appetizer and mains out 5 minutes apart, so we weren't even halfway done with our appetizers when our mains came out, and (2) parking can be challenging, we went around the block twice before we found street parking. Food 5/5 Service Ambiance 5/5 Parking (free 2 hour street parking)

Second time at Steamworks, this place was a wonderful experience again. The food was so good, and our server, Matthew, was very attentive and had a great sense of humour. We will be back again!

Plenty of beef slices and enoki mushroom. I really have to recommend this dish. Also had a pile of their skewers. Taiwanese sausage, chicken gizzard, and 2 flavours of wings. Not the cheapest, but similar in pricing to the competition. Everything got gobbled up. Delicious. Honestly I wish more people knew about this place. I think the only thing stopping them is the rather "bad" (not too visible) location. The 5 star rating for dinner remains.

The second time there were clams and lamb neck? The things that were the same: tomato egg, dumplings, steamed baos, chineze fried donut, and cold dishes like bean sprouts, smashed cucumbers, tea egg, tofu dessert. They also have hot soy milk for drinks. Their deep fried chinese donut has got to be the best I've ever had in my life. With the price of a pair of fried donut being over $6 these days, I get my fix here. Other things are standard, good but not outstanding. I really like having soy milk to drink instead of water. $18.88 is getting a little steep for a limited choice buffet with not too many meat choices. The crab/clam are a nice addition but if there are days without it, it wouldn't be worth. I would rate the food from this place higher than the similar chinese lunch box style place in richmond, K squared mansion.

Not much has changed from the interior and they still have a great selection of beers. Stayed with their award winning Vancouver Special IPA (6% & 60 IBU)...it is a great beer. The staff were all friendly and pleasant. The big change is that they have enhanced their food services. One in our group did order a pizza and I managed to grab a bite. The presentation and taste were great...better than one would expect of a craft brewery. It was a positive food (and drink) experience and I am happy to recommend R & B Ale and Pizza House.

I am shocked that I haven't already written a review for this place!…read more My friend and I used to come here when in the area and get a beer and an arugula and prosciutto pizza because no place did it better. We recently made our way back with a friend and it did not disappoint. Their menu for drinks and food is a wide variety. Definitely will find something for everyone. The atmosphere of the inside and outside is super fun and the staff are really nice. I can honestly say I have no clue what I am doing when I drink beer but they always give good suggestions as well as offering extra selection such as mimosas, Caesars, etc. We ordered hummus, pizza, waffles, fries. everything was fantastic and totally hit the spot. We usually only go earlier in the day so I'm not sure what the business volume is like later in the day. The patio seems to always be full by the time we're leaving so maybe it's all about timing! I will definitely continue to encourage others to check this place out to enjoy their beer selection! If you are interested in just getting some beers and merch and running, they have a little area in the front if you're looking for that.

I was on one of my spur-of-the-moment long wandering walks on a very warm sunny Friday afternoon…read morefor my vitamin D intake. It was just after noon when I was on the False Creek Seawall approaching Science. I needed lunch and a cold drink and I remembered a friend had recommended RTB to me. The GPS on my phone soon promptly took me there. It was after the lunch rush by the time I got there. It wasn't very busy and I was able to find a table on the patio after I had placed the order. I took my Road Trip Classic Lager with me to the table while I waited for my corned beef hash with fried eggs. The lager was crisp, light and refreshing and it went down quickly but I made sure there would be enough left with my lunch. My over easy eggs on the hash was fried perfectly with brown edges while the yolks were still running to allow the creamy cholesterol goodness seep down to the potatoes and corned beef pieces underneath. The hash was seasoned perfectly with no spices overpowering the potatoes and corned beef pieces. I had a very nice lunch in a somewhat industrial surroundings. Other than a transport truck backing in to the loading dock next to the patio when I was there, everything else seemed to have come to a standstill affording the patrons a lazy Friday afternoon.
