I had a very personal, caring, and thorough evaluation at Mobility Pro, Downey. KJ had met me in the community, a conversation struck-up regarding my poor sitting posture in my w/c. I made an appointment to see if my comfort and sitting posture could be improved. Kj provided a thorough assessment: adjustments to my w/c were made; I am trying some modifications to my w/c back and helpful suggestions were made. They say they are compassionate, well that is only the sales people, not the office staff. They do not know how to bill properly to get equipment approved the first time and do not follow insurance company rules. Required us to sign a waiver of responsibility when my insurance did NOT require pre authorization. My insurance company said DME is covered and no preauthorization is required; however, Mobility Professionals internal staff refused to release the equipment unless I signed something making me responsible for payment. My insurance company said they cannot do this, that the whole point of no preauth was because it is a covered expense, so they refused to provide equipment. This was after having the order for 3 months. If you want your equipment quickly, I suggest not using them. read more

I'm fairly new to Mobility Professionals but so far it's been a great experience. My initial contact was with Maribel who was incredibly friendly and worked hard to make an evaluation appointment at a time that works for not just me but also with the rep from Permobile. Karlton came out from MP for my evaluation and he was absolutely wonderful. He worked with Austin (the rep for Permobile) to help me figure out which was the best chair, the right accessories, and the right size for me. I don't know how long they spent with me but it was awhile and I never felt like they were rushing. They also took the extra time to double check my measurements only to find my previous chair was completely mis-measured and the wrong size for me. Since than they have worked hard with Permobile to get my chair made and delivered asap. It was a great experience (especially after some bad ones) and they went out of their way to make this as easy as possible and for that I'm truly grateful. Everyone at mobility professionals I've dealt with has been very helpful and nice. I got my new chair from them and they were awesome during the whole process. Insurance can take a while but they always kept me informed and up to date on everything happening. When things weren't exactly right they had no problems getting the right parts sent out and installed. They really made the entire process very easy and took the stress out of everything. I'm having a huge issue with this company being that the wheelchair has cut me up I have stage for a wounds now the chair was never fit properly for me in the first place but charge my insurance $22,000 I was told that my wheelchair would have some repairs done to it so that I can get around and go to the wound care doctor because it's life or death I've been in the bed for 3 weeks not able to get around they gave me a loaner chair that is very dangerous and my foot drags on the ground so I would cut it if I were to use the chair also it came without a cushion I'm very upset that companies get away with things like this not only that but there were things that were supposed to be done 2 years ago that still haven't been done no one deserves this type of treatment I mean 22,000 is a lot of money that could be a down payment on a house but yet here we are dying because of a wheelchair that wasn't made properly I have stage 4 wounds on my feet in my backside in the back of my legs and I'm wrapped up like a mummy read more

Such a pleasure to work with! This shop is "not like the others". After getting fed up with bureaucratic red tape from other shops, I called this one and boy they are so easy and professional to work with. I didn't even ask for it but while they were doing some repairs on my chair, they did a complete deep cleaning. I've never had that done before. People keep asking me if I got a new chair (it's almost 5 years old). Sunshine, Monique, and Monica in the front office are so pleasant and easy to deal with. They accept Medi-Cal and Medicare, and I'm sure they will take your insurance as well. They are prompt, fast, courteous, and extremely nice. Seriously, I have tried them all. We will never use any other- My significant other's electric w/c malfunctioned and he was going to be without an electric w/c for weeks. Pedro went out of his way to find an electric wheelchair "almost" the same as the electric wheelchair he owns (for him to use till his was returned). Delivered it that same day. Moblity Professionsls has lived up to their name in my book. They have really gone out of their way to show me it is not about the money but about caring for the person. Right from the start how I got introduced to their company was because I was having pressure sore problems and I was trying to order a wheelchair cushion from another company. It was taking a very long time and I was starting to get another pressure sore. My Physical Therapist was very concerned and she shared that she wanted to her a hold of her friend,, who is in a wheelchair and he is a representative of a company which turns out to be Mobility Professionals . At this time I had no experience with them. Dean, her friend came to my therapy session the very next day, in the pouring rain right before Thanksgiving so I could join my family. He shared that their company Mobility Professionals, did not have any Roho air cushions to loan to me as I waited for my order to come in. Yet, he went to his home and brought me one his own personal Roho cushions to loan me. He did this without me even being a customer. Then, as we spoke he was looking at how I was sitting and asked me questions about how I felt and was giving me pointers to help me not be so twisted and in pain. From this I wanted to continue working with them. Yet, I had to jump through many loop holes with my insurance to be able to work with them. Yet, while I was waiting to see if I got the insurance passed to be able to work with them; again, in the rain, now two other workers from Mobility Professionals- Sunshine and her son, Austin who works there came to my PT session to evaluate me and make sure no matter who got the contract I would be seated correctly in a wheelchair, whether or not they got the contract to work with me. Sunshine explained her other son is in a wheelchair and they know how importance this is. Here, again, this showed how much they care! They ended up getting the contact for my order and ever since I been working with them, they have been deeply caring and so professional! MoPros goes above and beyond. I had to get my first wheelchair sight unseen as I was injured in Vancouver, Canada. They made sure I was taken care of, got the chair to my brother, who flew it up and brought me down in it. Since then, for the past two years, they have treated me like family and it's always a pleasure to go into the office or have one of their techs come out to my home. In fact, when my health plan changed this year, I made sure that MoPros was a covered provider so that I can continue to have them take care of me. read more

I've ordered 2 wheelchairs and many accessories through these guys and they always provide excellent insight so I get the best chair and the right seating system(s). I push an ultra-light Titanium Quicky that is 15-years old that was custom built for me - I adore it. My Mobility Professional wheelchair tech has kept it rolling smoothly since 2009. It takes a highly trained, experienced expert to work on wheelchairs and that's what I get with Mobility Pros. I won't let just anybody work on my chair - it's the equivalent of my legs, and is too precious to mess around with. I give this form the highest recommendation. read more

Find a different provider. I started the process to get a power wheelchair through Medicare from Mobility Professionals in Oct 2019. Stan came and took all the relevant measurements and we specked out a chair that would work perfectly for me. Stan was great. I finally got approval in Mar 2020 and the chair was delivered in April. The chair had virtually no resemblance to what I ordered. I contacted them and instead of trying to make things right they started making up bizarre Medicare rules to justify changing the order. The Jazzy chair is a chassis with all the complicated bits and a seat that bolts onto the top of the chassis. I thought to make life simple I would just buy the seat I wanted. They tried to charge me the same price for just the seat that Medicare was paying for the entire chair chassis and seat. By this point I had enough and just told them to take back the chair and forget the whole thing. They tried to refuse to take the chair back. They changed the order without consulting me then lied to cover their action and tried to rip me off in the process. I finally had to get Medicare involved to get them to take the chair back. read more

I put my trust into this company to make a custom wheelchair to fit my needs. We met up 3 times, he took the measurements more than once and he knew the chair had to be similar to the chair I have now so it can fit in my house. Let's just say the chair came and didn't fit through my front door. I was not able to use the chair. It was much bigger than the measurements he took and the seat was too high. They took it back to get new parts for it. He brought it back to me with a seat that comes off with Velcro and flimsy which is impossible for me to use. He then took it back again and I haven't seen it since then. This process started in March 2019 and we are now in November 2019 and the chair is still not right and they have it in their possession. I paid for the chair already. They ruined the chair. They wasted months of my time. Instead of making the chair to the measurements that he knew it had to be. If they were not able to make a chair with the measurements I need then they should not have told me that they can and take the money for it. I wish I never trusted them! They are refusing to refund me and I don't even have the chair, and I'm not able to use the wheelchair they made. Look elsewhere don't waste your time with these people. read more
