These guys really saved me after I accidentally broke my girlfriend's Samsung A52 phone. At first,…read moreI thought the issue was only with the screen, so I took it to another repair shop on Wilshire in Marina del Rey that was supposed to replace the display. Instead, they simply opened the phone, looked at it, and then couldn't even put it back together properly. To make matters worse, they lost the antenna. After that experience, I started searching for real professionals who specialize in micro-soldering. One of the technicians I spoke with recommended Lay Tech Repairs in Tarzana. That turned out to be the right decision. When I arrived, I handed them the phone and explained the entire situation. They inspected the device and said they would try to repair it. Several other repair shops had already told me that the motherboard was damaged and that the only solution would be to replace the entire board, which would have meant losing all the data. Instead, these technicians were able to reconnect the damaged components and repair the board itself. They fixed parts that other technicians had said were impossible to repair. This was extremely important because losing the data would have been a huge problem. I was simply looking for someone who actually had the skills to do the job properly. They took on the repair and completed it the same day. The repair wasn't cheap, of course, but I received the phone back that very day. Since Tarzana is quite far from Santa Monica, I asked them to send the phone to me with Uber, and they arranged it without any problem. I'm truly grateful and confident that they are real professionals who can handle complex repairs that many other shops in Los Angeles refuse to even attempt. Technicians like this are rare, even in a city as large as Los Angeles.

I had some pretty bad scratches on my iPhone 16 Pro Max screen so I called them asking for a quote…read more I was told $160 and made an appointment for later that day after work. I got there and was asked how much I was quoted on the phone so I told him and he took my phone to the back to start working on it. He asked how I was paying and I saw the sign that said cash, Zelle, or Venmo only so I said Zelle. I asked him about putting a glass screen protector on and was told he ran out of them but can order it. I got my phone back and immediately noticed the screen was dark and thick and lagging. He told me it was the LED generic one. I said I wasn't aware there were other ones and he said there are signs everywhere to ask about upgrading. I didn't know to ask about upgrading because I was just quoted a price thinking that's how much all of them are for this phone! When I called he should have said that there were different options with their pricing and what the differences were. So I asked about the next one up which would be $260. He said because it's extra work he would charge me $100 for labor if he takes this one off and puts my other one on or I can pay for the other one and keep this one on until I come back and pay ahead because he'd have to order it. I was in a pickle because either I pay $100 to have my old one put back on and then have to go to Apple and pay approximately $380 for their factory one so I'm out $480 or I pay $160 to keep this generic one that is dark and thick and just horrible with the colors. Or I pay $306.60 (with tax), go home with the generic one on, they order the next one up which is the OLED and the glass screen protector, and I come back the next day after work for that install. I chose the 3rd option but left crying and just so upset thinking that I got screwed over. I get home and now there is a green line running down the screen. At work the next day I called around 10:30 to make sure they got the screen in and to tell them what time I'll be coming. He says it's coming by UPS so he's waiting for delivery. I tell him I'm off at 3:30 so I'll head straight there but then he tells me since it's Friday they are only open from 8 to 2. WHAT! I was never told about this the day before and I specifically told them I'd be coming after work the next day and even called my husband to figure this out while I was there. So now I'm in another pickle. I've paid them and the screen is ordered and I need this done! So my mom comes to my work to pick up my phone and take it there to complete the work. BUT GET THIS! Now I'm home with the OLED screen and it's glitching!! What the hell?! This has been the WORST experience ever and not once did they try to compensate me for my time and this whole experience or try to make it better. BEWARE!!
