Brought my GTI to them and they were nothing but professionals. Communicated with me well and didn't do nothing I didn't ask for. Prices are great for the amount of work they perform. If you have an mqb car I couldn't recommend a place more! read more

I was fortunate to have my car towed to Jason's shop today. Jason is a true VW enthusiast--his attention to detail and deep knowledge of how these machines run is impressive! Not only is he a Volkswagen specialist, but he is also a kind, honest, and trustworthy person. Despite never meeting me before, and even though his shop was booking two weeks out, Jason took the time to listen to my concerns about my 16-year-old car, respected my limitations, had the parts in stock, and had everything fixed within four hours. To top it off, he charged me a fraction of what I would have paid elsewhere--about 25% of what most shops would have quoted, without trying to sell me unnecessary repairs. Jason has earned my trust, and I can't recommend him highly enough! read more

HONEST! My Audi said the brake pads need replacing. I asked Gemini AI to find me a good break guy and Mobile One was the top choice because of awesome reviews like the one I'm about to write. I emailed m1servicerequest@gmail.com and got a response within 5 min. Met with JASON the next day and he told me the sensor was being sensitive and break pads looked good. He could have easily just taken my money but these guys are HONEST and knowledgable. After talking with Jason, I found out they've been in business 25 years. They are also performance specialists so if you want your car souped up I would def call these guys. Seriously the honestly inpired me to run home and write this review and also pay if forward to someone else. What a great experience! Call or email Jason! read more

Mobile One - Auto Repair Near Me - Glenview, Illinois

Great location for auto performance and other auto services. Very responsive and knowledgeable on what they have to offer.

This place top notch. The work was done on time and at a fair price that was explained up front. They even helped me make choices in OEM parts vs other brands of parts. I brought my six year old golf GTI in for some major repairs and they did a great job, gave me a fair price and didn't charge for labor on each individual repair just did it as a bulk job which cut down the cost. Jason was nice guys to work with, would definitely go back. Excellent service and honesty. Labor rates are average, but they charge you fairly. read more

Jason and Mobile One completed the 80k service on my 2004 Volkswagen Phaeton. They worked with me even though I had purchased a kit from Blau Parts instead of sourcing the parts from them. When I decided to sell my Phaeton later on, Jason helped me market the car on Mobile One's social media page. I really appreciate everything Mobile One did for me during the time that I owned my Phaeton. I was referred to Mobile One by the outstanding Mercedes-Benz specialists at MBS Automotive in Northbrook. read more

If you want your VW/Audi/Porsche/Lexus/BMW serviced, bring it here. Jason and the crew at Mobile One know what they are doing. The customer service is very straight forward, no gimmicks they just get it done. They chipped my S4, rebuilt the suspension, and fixed my A/C system along with oil changes and basic maintenance. They have free wireless while you wait, and usually offer you something to drink. It is a nice place if you want your car fixed the right way with no BS. I drive here 10 miles to get work done, and have recommended it to anyone I come across with any make or model car. The labor rate per hour is half of what any dealership charges, and the work done is perfect. I would come here over any dealership, any day. read more

I don't think I'm going to meet a more legit mechanic than Jason. Fair to a fault, very straightforward, and excellent at his craft. Very dedicated to customer satisfaction and continually improving his skills and his business. For perspective, this quote is hung behind his counter: "A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labor and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he... is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both." Jason doesn't just talk the talk, he walks and lives it as well. He is an excellent representative of the philosophy outlined above... A true artist. He deserves all the good things that come his way. I actually find myself wanting to pay him more than he asks - that's how good of a guy he is. Do yourself a favor; take your business here. You will not regret it. read more

If you have an VW/Audi, instead of paying 40-50% more per hour at a dealership, bring your car to Mobile One. The work will be at least as good, probably better than the dealership, and that goes doubly so for older cars. Unlike a lot of mechanics, Jason will tell you his straight, honest opinion of what your car needs, and what it will cost you. If he doesn't know off-hand, he'll find out and keep you informed. I've never owned anything besides Japanese cars and live 20 miles away, but I still bring them to Mobile One. A good, independent mechanic that you can trust is worth the drive. read more

I've been going there every since I got my 05 MINI S. I won't go on and on but they are a great, fair price kind of place. I've had MAJOR work done here (engine swap and head replacement) and they are great about fixing little issues related to the work they do, even if they didn't really cause the issue to begin with. Hard to explain but basically I'm saying they don't nickel and dime you. Only downsides (MINOR) is that they sometimes are busy and can't get you in and that they don't have a receptionist so sometimes you may leave a message and have to wait a bit for a callback. I mean honestly, when you think about how hard it is to find a down to earth, knowledgeable mechanic who won't screw you, you put up with whatever minor inconveniences come along with it. read more

Needed some work done on my 2010 Infiniti G37xS sedan. Since my usual guys moved to a new location that isn't convenient anymore, the search began for another local shop. While they are specialists with German cars, I woudn't (and didn't) hesitate to take my car to them after a friend's recommendation and much research on my own. Jason put up with all my questions and concerns, and all the work was done in a timely fashion at a reasonable price, with no surprises. Hallelujah! Mobile One Inc. has won over yet another loyal customer. Thanks guys! ***7/14/2017 Update*** So, I was in a jam with having to travel over the weekend. The front aluminum splash shield of my Infiniti has gotten beat up over the years, to the point of it dragging on the pavement. Had to order a replacement asap from an online aftermarket vendor. It arrived in 2 days. I stopped by Mobile One hoping they could squeeze me in to replace it (I was willing to wait however long I had to), as well as do an oil change while the car was on the lift. Jason was very understanding and did in fact manage to squeeze me in promptly. I don't suggest anyone try this, as he's a very busy man. I just happened to get lucky. Best way to get ahold of him is via email, since his phone literally rings off the hook these days. A good sign if you ask me. I'm glad I found this shop. read more

Jason is terrific and super knowledgeable. When I got there for the first time, I had a little trouble finding the place but figured it must have been the one with the Red Audi A3 (S3?) jumping around the lot in front of it. He greeted me, I complimented the car, and he told me it "only had 700 hp." Lol. From there it was all great. We talked VWs and chatted about other things while he performed a Unitronic ECU upgrade on my MK7 GTI. Anyway, car is running amazingly (and wow! so quick!) and I plan to take my beloved machine there for future mods and maintenance scheduling. Just go there if you have an Audi or VW (and I believe Porsche). You'll have no regrets. read more

I can honestly say, i would not take my car anywhere else besides here. Not only did he take my car in last minute on a busy week, he fixed it pretty quickly. Jason is one of the smartest mechanics I have ever met. I learned so many things about my car just being around him for few minutes. My car had a faulty ABS module and he went above and beyond to make sure everything is done the right way. When i got my car back i actually felt like i invested money into it instead of just feeling like i threw money away on some broken part. I will definitely be coming back here and recommending my friends to do the same. I was so tired of other shops thinking they know what they are doing and getting my car back in worse condition then what I brought it there in. Jason is a top notch guy and will see my car there again for sure. THANKS JASON! read more

If you drive any type of german car, especially a VW/Audi then this shop is worth the drive. I live in the Loop and have no qualms about taking my car up to Jason at Mobile One. This dude is the antithesis of that rip-off car mechanic stereotype. He gives it to you straight and always looks out for you. He loves these cars - has a couple himself, so he knows what he's working on. Whether you're just a regular driver who loves his A4 or GTi, or you want to add a little upgrade to your car, this is the best shop where I've ever got my work done, regular and upgrades Don't be afraid of where he's at. It might not look like a Firestone or Fletcher Jones shop, but it's all about the tools and the mechanic. Those other guys...? - steal from you and tell you it's because your car is an import. Mobile One, Inc - Glenview, ask for Jason. read more

If you are looking for a shop that knows the Audi B5 S4 platform (or any late model Audi for that matter), look no further. Jason is a guru who truly knows what he's doing. I brought him my pretty heavily modded S4 without disclosing a whole lot of the car's history and, within a couple hours Jason had not only diagnosed the suspension issue I originally brought it in for, he had figured out the ins and outs of the car, gave me a laundry list of other maintenance issues that should be addressed (most of them I was already aware of and could confirm Jason's diagnosis - he even caught things other shops didn't), and he even clued me in to some untapped potential of my car due to overly conservative software. Jason spent time talking me through every single step of his thought process and he charged me quite a bit less than he should have for both parts and labor. In short, both the customer service and the actual automotive service were beyond compare and the price was on the low end - I can't wait to take Jason up on his suggested upgrades on my S4. Jason has an attention to detail most reserve for their own cars. Mobile One is my shop from now on, full stop. read more

Jason and crew are nerds, like good, studied, don't know how to lie, we love what we do, kind of nerds. Brilliant at diagnostics; excellent business savvy and client service; always looking for a way for you to save a buck while keeping your car well maintained and safe. I have recommended them to clients on the North Shore and I recommend them to anyone in the city as well. I live in Lakeview - I'll either drop the car off and take the Metra home - ten minute walk to station from their place- or wait for fixes in their wait room - tons of mags to read and free wifi. A dealership mechanic may be more local, sure, but they will charge you $40 more per hour and prob rip you off. Take the time to get up to Glenview and work with someone you trust, get in a relationship with them. Mobile One rocks. read more

A typical experience at Mobile One involves Jason, the owner/mechanic, preordering the parts that he thinks will be needed to fix your car after a phone call explaining the problem. Mobile One is by far the best Audi / Volkswagen service mechanic in Chicagoland!! Jason, the proprietor of Mobile One, is customer focused with a work ethic to perform the job right the first time. Always professional and proactive with the overall maintenance of my automobile: there is no reason to go anywhere else. My family travels from the southside of Chicago to have Mobile One maintain our Volkswagen diesel Jetta w/ 180K miles. Jason has been working on our Jetta for over five years. The convenient factor includes a Metra train stop within a 5 minute walk to Mobile One in Glenview.. Jason and his crew have been working on my VW Jetta for years and being that I was going to sell it, took it in for some TLC. They did a very thorough job making sure it was in good condition - tires, fluids, engine, etc. They provided me the whole synopsis so that when I went to sell no one would try to claim issues with a car that has none. They have kept my car (that I now have sold) in great shape and have always been very professional and knowledgeable. I know more about a VW than I probably ever wanted to know thanks to Jason. Great shop overall! My VW will miss you guys! read more

I recently went to a shop for a general inspection. The lead mechanic told me that I needed a whole new engine and gave me an estimate of $6200. I knew right away I was being scammed. I took my car to Mobile One the very same day. Jason informed me that I did not need a new engine and I only needed a new vacuum pump. I payed a fraction of what the other shop estimated. I am so relieved that Jason and the other employees of Mobile One are honest mechanics. Jason knew exactly what was wrong with my car and was straight forward with the whole process. He showed me very clearly the issues and how they would be fixed. I will only be taking my car to Mobile One in the future. If you are looking for a trustworthy mechanic, I would only recommend Mobile One. read more

Jason and his team are expert trust worthy professionals. I rate them 5 out of 5 stars.

Hands down the best mechanic I have ever met. Jason knows his cars, especially VW and Audi. I've been going to him for 7 years and would definitely recommend his services to anyone. Tried going to a couple other mechanics because of location convenience and just got screwed with bad work and more problems. Most people simply do not love their trade how the guys at Mobile one do. Whether it's basic repair, big projects, or car tuning, Jason and his guys take care of you and your vehicle and do excellent work. They don't BS you and will tell you exactly what you need...and if you need it. read more

I logged on to my Yelp account that I rarely use just so I could post a review of Mobile One. I've had several negative experiences with dealerships and other mechanics, but Jason at Mobile One is fair, honest, prompt, and competent - all nonnegotiable qualities when looking for a car mechanic. I have a 2004 Honda Accord, and he was able to quickly order the part he needed and make the repair the same day. His shop is busy, but that only goes to show that people trust his service. He'll be my go-to guy for years to come. read more

I have never written a review on any service I have received over my very long life. However, my experience with the owner, Jason and his mechanics, was such that I find I must share my experience with anyone looking for an auto mechanic. They did extensive work on my 12 year old BMW with extreme care, knowledge, concern and a genuine objective to treat me fairly and to my satisfaction. The best example I could give as to their integrity, was the fact that among other things, I thought I needed new brake pads on the front wheels. During the course of their work they determined that new brake pads were not needed and so informed me that I need not invest in the brakes at this time. What a pleasant surprise not only as to the fact that new brake pads were not needed, but more importantly that they passed on the opportunity to earn more money on the job. A very fair price, excellent workmanship, superb customer service, honesty and a true concern for what is in the best interest of the customer. That to me, describes Mobile One. I almost never recommend a company to anyone , but I have no hesitation in highly recommending Mobile One with no reservations. read more

Got an oil change and Unitronic tune done for my MK6 GTI. Jason was easy to talk to and get a hold of. For those not familiar with tuning a MK6 GTI, the ECU has to be pulled, opened, messed around with, then sealed back up to protect it from the elements. So picking the right shop to do it is important. Otherwise it's a $1,000+ burden. Pricing is fair, their reputation in the VW community is great, couldn't be happier with the results! Will be coming back for out of warranty work on both of our VWs and possibly/hopefully some more upgrades to my GTI. Only reason for 4 stars, not open on Saturday's. So making trips to this shop would require time off work, which doesn't bug me too much. But somewhat of an inconvenience I'm willing to deal with, to go back there. read more

I've been taking my 1990 Jetta to Jason at Mobileone for about a year. First, some background: My car is a POS. It is over 20 years old, and I use it for a daily driver commuting car. It is my only car, so it is a necessary tool for my work life. I want to wring as many years and miles out of this car as I can. Mark 2 VWs are strange beasts. The electronic system is super touchy, and someone really needs to know what they are doing to troubleshoot them. Whenever I pull up to Mobileone, I see turbo 911s, super modified R32s, and other high end, European performance cars. Jason takes my minor repairs just as seriously as he does the high end beasts he works on, at prices cheaper than the in-city chop shops near where I live on the near south side. I have consistently been happily surprised by the quality of work and reasonable prices that I have been charged at Mobileone. In short: Odd car, necessary for commuting, looooong drive to get there. 100% worth it, and thanks to Jason for keeping me running. Amazing shop. read more

If you know nothing about cars and just have money to flush down the toilet, then this is the place for you. I have never been to a mechanic that charges you just to look at your car and tell you what's wrong withit. So that was $110 right there. He also fixed problem A (for now). On to problem B. That was $250. Except the problem was a faulty lightbulb. So that was $250 down the toilet. On top of that, he charged me for a new lightbulb when he shouldn't have considering he failed to diagnose the faulty lightbulb in the first place (that's what a thorough job he does). So that was another $50. And then I get home and realize that problem A is back, so he never really fixed anything. All in all, what I needed was a lightbulb replacement. And that cost me over $400. Honestly, all these reviews must be friends and family. I youtubed some videos and fixed the problem myself. I still feel sick to my stomach just thinking about the whole situation, but that's what mechanics do best, is take advantage of people! read more

Yes, as good as it gets. You know the feeling when you find a guy who you wish you knew a long time ago? The one where the thought of moving to a different town suddenly gives you pause because that guy isn't in that town? Such is the experience with Jason at Mobile One. He worked on my 1995 Audi S6 for the past couple of weeks, diagnosing several separate and complicated issues that were keeping it from performing as it should. He took lots of time to explain what he was finding along the way, even asking me to come up and spend an hour with him midstream to understand what he was finding. He showed me videos of the tests he ran, explaining the results and generally educating me on my own car. He clearly knows his stuff and has a real love for the work that he does. He installed several new performance parts and the car runs like new. And bear in mind this is a 22 year old car. First class guy, first class service, first class results. I have already made an appointment for my 2013 Porsche with Jason for its annual checkup. read more
