If you are totally exasperated trying to arrange service with an Apple Store or God forbid, the dreaded "Geek Squad" hair-pulling, frustrating experience, then please make your life easier and try this authorized Apple repair store. The Mckinney location is very convenient and is located right next door to "The Great Outdoors", in the plaza at Eldorado and Medical Center Drive. It's a tad hard to find (they could use some signage) and there are no fancy displays in the store however - if you want an easy experience with 2 knowledgeable technicians trying to make a living by providing professional, competent service, then you will be absolutely delighted you gave them a try, For my battery replacement job, the Apple brand battery was in stock and the phone was ready in about 90 minutes. And believe it or not, they actually answer the phone when you call; you do not have to go thru some convoluted, nonsensical automated menu that still will not allow you to talk to a human. read more

I would not recommend using this vendor to as an authorized Apple repair provider or for any other purpose. I took my telephone to this vendor because Apple is refusing to service through Apple the Iphone products, Apple Watches and other products it sold to Collin County even where it sold Apple Care. Instead it now refers the customers to Mobile Kangaroo or other "authorized" Apple Care representatives using an appointment setting service that takes weeks (and in my case, the assistance of Apple customer service) to schedule an appointment with. When I delivered the telephone, the operator of the Store immediately upon hearing my problem told me that the powering problem with my phone and the broken watch face on my watch were items that Apple didn't allow him to work on, but instead required him to send in to Apple for diagnosis and repair. He also said they only let their location fix the broken screens, but not for watches. Therefore he informed me that it would be necessary to ship the phone and watch both to Apple. He also advised me that depending on the status of my Warranty and my Apple Care contract terms, I might be required to pay a $99 Apple Service Fee for this. I agreed, he had me fill out the paperwork and as I left in response to my request for reassurance provided me with reassurance that he would ship it off immediately so that I could expect timely repair or replacement from Apple and to look for Apple to respond. Rather than carrying out these arrangements, he instead conducted the diagnostics on the telephone that he told me Apple did not allow him to do and when he was unable to replicate the problem days later sent me an email asking for the permission I already had provided. 10 days later, he still hasn't sent it in. Not reliable or honest. Also disrespectful to women. Only use this business if you enjoy being given unreliable service, misinformation and disrespect for the customer. read more

Kangaroo I had liquid damage to my MAcBook Pro. It would not start up. I brought it in to the closest Apple Authorized Repair center. I was unable to create a backup because the computer would not start. Then I checked previous backups and realized that the scheduled backups had not been working. That was on me. I brought the machine to kangaroo and asked them for a diagnostic and an estimate. I repeatedly told them that if the data would be compromised by the repair then DO NOT repair. I would have taken the computer to a data recovery shop to try and recover the data before making the repair. I got the estimate and agreed to the repair since I was told that the data would be saved. However when I picked up the machine the data was wiped out and I was told there is nothing that can be done to recover the data. So the conclusion is, I am out 3 years worth of important files and data that are virtually unrecoverable. I admit not having a backup is on me. But the total disregard of my explicit instructions is on them. And they also gouged me on the price of the repair. I feel violated in the worst way. I would avoid these incompetent thieves at all cost. read more

They were awesome. I had a pretty serious problem with my MacBook Pro and thought it was toast. I tried doing a factory restore but it went bad and wouldn't boot up again. I figured it would need a new hard drive or cost hundreds of dollars to restore. They had it up and running in great working condition in less than an hour! I couldn't believe it. And it only cost me about $75. I'm so glad I had heard about them from Apple support! read more

I had airpod Pros that were eligible for replacement due to a recall. This was verified through Apple support and Apple support set up the appointment with Mobile Kangaroo for replacement. The guy working at Mobile Kangaroo told me that my AirPods weren't eligible due to date of purchase, which was totally wrong. Recall is about manufacture date, not purchase date. Big waste of time going there. I called Apple on my way out, explained what happened, and they put me in touch with another authorized rep who was able to exchange my AirPods. Just felt like the guy didn't know what he was talking about and it was a huge waste of time. read more

Do not recommend. Terrible experience, will completely rip you off. Not only was the staff (manager and receptionist) very condescending, they were incredibly unhelpful. Will charge you $70 to do literally nothing but then also tell you after giving you the $500+ quote to fix your device that they don't even think you should do it (it took ME coming to the conclusion I would not pay that price for the manager to tell me that, which I'm sure they would have happily taken our money had we decided to proceed). Wants to tell you they prefer to be safe with COVID yet the receptionist didn't have a mask on for half the time I was there and did not respect any type of social distancing rules at all. DO NOT USE THEM. Apple may "support" them but they surely do not support their customers. read more
