I went to CIR today for two reasons. First, I dropped my son's Kindle, and of course it didn't have the case on it when I did so the back cover in the corner near where the lock button is dislodged and I couldn't lock/unlock the Kindle or access the volume buttons. I actually thought that the buttons flew off when I dropped it. Then, a while back I noticed a faint scratch on my iPhone 13 screen and when I messaged CIR on Yelp, they gave me the best price for an OLED screen so I said might as well kill two birds with one stone and go to CIR. When I came in on a Saturday afternoon, Freddy was working alone and told me they don't work on Kindles, which makes sense since they're so cheap and you might as well just buy a new one instead of pay to repair it. He agreed to take a quick look at it and with a tool I didn't have at home was able to quickly snap the back cover back into place and the Kindle works again! It turns out the buttons didn't fall off, they were just blocked by the dislodged screen so that fix took a minute or less. Then it was time for the iPhone. Freddy told me the scratch was on a screen protector which -- as hilarious as this may sound -- I had no idea I had because I bought the phone used. So instead of a $159 screen repair, he stopped what he was working on and quickly installed a new, better-quality screen protector which cost me $15. I was out in less than five minutes. Again, big thanks to Freddy for his honesty and going above and beyond to help me out! I'm truly grateful and will be back to CIR the next time I need a phone or tablet repair.

Guillermo was incredibly communicative when I requested a quote, answered all follow-up questions I had promptly, and offered a very reasonable price for the entire repair, especially considering I'd also asked to additionally have its battery replaced (and checked that a waterproof seal would be installed). He explained my options thoroughly and was very honest with me re: the options I had (he offers both OEM and aftermarket repairs). Throughout the whole process, he communicated immediately with me regarding the delivery status of the parts, the repair itself, and finally how long they would remain open for me to pick up my phone. To top it off, the price was the best across six separate repair shops I had asked. He also installed a new screen protector for me, and did not charge anything for it. It's been a little over a week since my phone was repaired and it's been working like new. Took exactly how long they said it would and everything looked great. However, my phone isn't the same. Backlight is either super bright or too dark. The color contrast isn't the way it was before, and while they said that might happen, I wasn't expecting it to be that big of a difference. So if you're looking to get your screen fixed for around $200 instead of $375ish this is your place but just know it won't be exactly the same.
