Three weeks afterwards, I needed other work done which was not related to the work Liberty performed. That mechanic pointed out something that Liberty should have told me about when Liberty worked on my car. I took my car back to Liberty and asked why Liberty didn't point out the new issue to me when I had my car in there. He told me that he was a new employee and the work was done before he hired. He then told me that Liberty was not obligated to tell me of the work that needs to be done because that issue passed inspection but the repairs would be costly! He then told me that there was nothing he could do. Liberty took my money and then allowed me to drive my car while they intentionally failed to tell me about an existing issue. If I would have known about the newly found issues when I had Liberty "fix" my car, I would have not had the car fixed and bought a new car! Liberty took my money, didn't tell me about the other issue and then said they are not obligated to tell me of issues with my car even though they perform state inspections??? PLEASE do not take your car to Liberty! They will take your money and allow you to drive an unsafe vehicle. They are bunch of thieves!

It was kind of dead when I pulled in and was the only car there. That made it fast for me to pull up to a pump and get my gas. Walked inside afterwards to get myself some cigarettes only to find out they do not carry the type I look for. It made for a quick stop inside. This location has a service garage attached to it. Inside there is a little seating area that people can wait for their car if it is in the garage. Nothing else really seemed to stand out from this location.

I was referred here to Will because I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee and he's an expert with these vehicles. I brought it in with an engine tapping thinking it needed a rebuild--had taken it to a Jeep dealership service center that quoted me $8K for an engine replacement. Will quickly figured out the problem--no charge for the diagnostic--and determined it did not need a rebuild. He took care of it quickly and was really communicative in the process. However, that sort of thing has NEVER happened to me at this particular 7-Eleven. In fact, they are so friendly here. They have been staffed by the same people for many years, and they are happy and attentive to your needs. They always have lots of fresh coffee and they put you in a good mood when you interact with them. In a very important, but general note, I harbor a secret theory that in the DC area 7-Eleven bought the doughnut recipe from Montgomery Doughnuts. So, I bought a Mercedes ML from another person in which the person could not afford the maintenance so when I purchased it from him I knew that there would be a few things to take care of to get it running in tip top shape. Therefore, I took it to Mercedes to get a total diagnostic test first before taking it to my mechanic at O Malley's Mechanic Shop. His shop kept it over the temp tag expiration date because it took a bit longer than anticipated for parts. I knew that I needed to get it inspected and needed the essential list of what need to be taken care of now so that I could get my permanent tags. So I took it to this Shell. I left the car there from 9:40am-1:20pm and upon arrival the mechanic Luis said that he could not fully perform the Inspection because of the dead tags. But, I would still have to pay for the inspection $79.99. If you knew you could not preform the full inspection then why did you charge me $79.99??? Not an Honest Person! The first test on the inspection page was the road test. If you could not take it on the road for the road test you should have called and said sorry can't do it. Second, I found that he added a hand full of things on the inspection that needed to be fixed that Mercedes did not have on the diagnostic test. InWhich I had a full diagnostic test with Mercedes. I'm pretty sure I trust Mercedes's dealer way more than Shell. Third, I put brand new rotors and brakes all the way around and no lights brake lights were on when I dropped it off so after I received my car back why was brake lights on my dash board. I'm not sure what they did??? They figure they could squeeze out what ever they could out of me. The sales rep that signs you in said we can fix all of these things here. Well, not today!!!! If you ever need an honest Mechanic shop O'Malley on Beltsville, MD is awesome been going there for years. Too bad they don't do Maryland State Inspections.
