Moat was fantastic during our recent experience fumigating our home. I live in a townhouse with a shared wall, so Jason had the challenge of coordinating with two households' schedules to complete the project. He was responsive to email and text at practically all hours of the day, and went above and beyond to make sure we knew what to expect along the way. This was our first time fumigating, and with pets there was some nervousness on our end. Jason answered every question, showed up on time every time, and I really appreciated that he walked our property a few days prior for any last minute concerns. It gave us peace of mind. On the day the tent went up, he had SDGE set up to turn off the gas, and his tenting crew showed up early and worked SO quickly like a well oiled machine. I have a schedule every 3 months to have him spray , but I saw some ants outside earlier than my next spray and he came out right away to respray . Jason was amazing. He came out pronto when I had a problem with Top Dawg charging $2650 to my card when I thought I was paying for a $125 inspection, and then claimed to do a subterranean treatment. I had Moat and another company go out there and show me pictures that nothing had been done. The termite tubes were still intact. Jason got out there almost immediately and did a whole free inspection because of what had happened. His estimate for the fumigating was $850 cheaper than Top Dawg. He was ready to get that done within days. When the fumigators went out they found the laundry room was locked and there were no keys. Jason actually dropped what he was doing to go out there and try to help them get into the laundry room. He couldn't get in and didn't give up. Can you believe he actually spent his time to find a locksmith to go out and stayed talking to the fumigators so they wouldn't leave? It cost me $120 to get that room open, but they would have charged me $350 for the cancellation. He saved me BIG TIME. The most incredible part is that this was the day before Christmas Eve and he still took the time and care to make this happen. I really don't think you could do better than Moat. read more

Alrighty, I have now had MOAT service my home for a year now so this is a long term review. My home has had a huge ant problem since decades before I owned it. The ants would literally be crawling trails from out of the air ducts, windows, and electrical sockets every summer. I've tried several cocktails of spray from the hardware store or DIYs from online, each one would only solve the issue for about a week. I dealt with two other pest control services in Hemet before I called Moat. The contrast was remarkable. I will call them Company X and Company XX. Company X charged me $50 to spray around my mobile home. They set no bait stations or rat traps. When I repeatedly phoned them to come back to set bait stations, they repeatedly told me that my account wasn't in their "system." (Whatever that means!) Eventually, they simply stopped returning my call. Company XX, answered my one and only call to them. Their phone person affected a little-girl voice. She could answer none of my questions and eventually, inexplicably, put me on hold... After several minutes of waiting for I knew not what, I hung up. That is when I phoned Moat. Boy, am I glad I did. What a difference! Totally professional. The Moat man showed up on time. He answered all my questions, explaining what he was going to do before he did it. He sprayed and strategically placed (in the shade) 4 bait stations. Moat's bait stations are weighed so they can't be blown or dragged away. I was impressed. And the Moat man even had the mannerisms of an undertaker! You could tell he was way into his job. But then he asked me if I had noticed any insect issues on the inside of my mobile. I told him I had only moved in two weeks ago and had already killed a couple dozen slow-flying bugs that appeared out of nowhere in my kitchen during the night. He asked me how long they were. I told him about a half an inch long. He said it sounds like termite swarms. 'Tis the season for them to fly. They're attracted to light at night. And the only way to kill 'em all was to tent my place, which would cost about $1600. I was depressed. A mobile home just up the street from me had been tented the week before. So I figured termites were on the move and I was next on their menu. But that's when this Moat specialist asked me a critical question: Did I have any of the carcasses of those bugs I'd killed? I hadn't thrown out my kitchen trash yet, and located one of those squashed bugs in a napkin. Moat man whipped out a high-intensity flashlight and examined the squashed blob for about 15 seconds before announcing his postmortem's verdict: "It's an ant." Boy, was I relieved. I felt that his expertise just save me $1600. And I signed up right then and there for Moat's bi-monthly pest control services for far into the future.
