The first time I went in I hit the jackpot...I found so many cute numbers that really jazzed up my summer wardrobe. Not only was the price doable, their sizing wasn't just for the petite petunias among us. I remember walking out of the store feeling like I had finally found my fashion spirit brand. Not to mention, I really enjoyed the sales girl who helped me and when I went to return the one item I just wasn't fully in love with, the transaction was handled quickly and efficiently and because that girl chatted me up, I ended up buying something else since we were gabbing while the return took place which gave me time to peruse the offerings once again. Fast forward to today and I walked in and two sales girls were chatting one another up while I fondled items on the racks. Not a hello as I entered, not as I walked past them, and no help was offered once I started to collect items that caught my eye. In fact, I put down my things on a chair and walked over to a dressing room and set myself up. I'm an independent lady, so no worries there, but they hardly broke conversation when I interrupted to inform them I started my own dressing room. One came over to help as I collected more things but then not a peep from either as I tried on a good 10-15 items. Not until I had the very last item on did one come over to ask if I was doing ok. Mind you, only two other parties came in while I was in the store, so the store was not busy. To top that experience off, nothing fit like a glove like the last time and I found a lot of the material stiff. I'm hoping the first time wasn't a fluke...so maybe their spring/summer line is just more my style. I'll be back for round three in the new year to see if the options (and customer service) are more on par with my inaugural experience! read more

Mo:Vint - Women's Clothing Near Me - Pasadena, California

I used to love Mo:Vint, but my last visit to the store may have been my last considering the quality of their clothes and the employees working there. I think their names were Chloe and Tiana. When I entered the store, I was completely ignored. They didn't greet me, help me start a fitting room when I had multiple items, or even acknowledge my presence. Okay, not a big deal.. The store itself is so cute, but the employees were talking SO loudly, that I could barely enjoy looking around. It was impossible to ignore. The greatest part was that they were talking about La Canada being a terrible place, and that the people from there are privileged people who, I quote, "have never seen a homeless person in their life" and essentially saying those who live in LC haven't experienced much. LOL! I get that LC has a stereotype, but talking at the top of your lungs about it at work fully knowing the store is in close proximity to La Canada is so unprofessional and rude. Talk about it any other place, not work.. Sure, a lot of people from La Canada are spoiled. But that isn't a fair statement to say for all. I was pretty upset about this conversation they were having for what went on for most of the time I was in the store, and their poor customer service skills that I ended up calling the store later that day to speak to the manager about this, or be directed to the corporate office, something I've never done before at any retail store. I could tell the two employees were nervous, but instead of handling it in a professional manner, they ended up hanging up on me, blaming a "bad connection". FOUR TIMES! That's funny, I've called before and had no trouble. So I called, and oh- another bad connection. So I called two more times, and it was the same story. BAD connection, hung up on. Keep in mind, I did not lose my temper, I was just baffled by the fact these two employees thought this would work. I could even hear them in the background saying "it's her again" hahaha oh man. If you're going to stigmatize an entire community in an aggressive, rude manner, at your work, expect there to sometimes be consequences. And stop hanging up because you're scared of the repercussions. Now, the clothes. I got a new jacket there that day, and I'm usually really happy with the quality of the clothing. This jackets buttons (2 out of 5) fell off the first day I wore it. I also purchased a shirt, and realized after that there was a defect, causing the buttons not to be on the right side of the shirt on one of the sleeves.. I didn't even bother returning the items because I had taken off the tags for the jacket and didn't even want to deal with another bad experience. I want to return and continue supporting Mo:Vint. In the past, the employees have always been kind and helpful. I don't know if this was a fluke, but I am really disappointed. Considering some of the other reviews, I think it might have been. This review is a bit overdue.. I first discovered Mo:Vint a few months ago when I was looking for cute children outfits for a friends daughters birthday. I ended up getting a sweat suit set and my friends daughter LOVED it! Not only did I stumble upon adorable children attire but they've got an amazing selection for women as well! My favorite part of the store is their sale section, they have fresh looks each time I come in and the prices are very reasonable. Each time I've been in the associates working have been extremely helpful with any questions I had. Alyssa also gave me a heads up to check out their website since they also have items for sale that they don't offer in this location. Overall great experience in person and online. One of my favorite pieces is this jean jacket with wool underlining, it's very soft, comfortable and keeps me warm on nights out. read more

I love the clothing in this store so much. I think the clothes are reasonably priced for the quality and there's usually a fair amount of sale items. If you love new york influenced style, it's a good place. It's a little out of my range so if you're a poor college student as well then it may not be the best fit (yet!). My problem with the store is their customer service. The first couple times I came in, the workers were more preoccupied with chatting with each other. Another time my boyfriend and I came in because he chose something for me to try on. He put it on hold a few days previous but when we got there it was missing. read more

I was in the Pasadena area last night and stumbled upon Mo:Vint. I had never been shopping there before so I was curious. I was initially drawn in because of the outfits in their window display, and right away I was greeted, as well as informed of the amazing promotions going on by Alyssa. She was so helpful, and recommended checking out Mo:Vint's website after my visit, because the promotions extend to online as well! I figured I could get a head start on shopping for a dress for a party I have coming up in a few weeks. I had a few pieces picked out and Chloe came over and offered to start me a fitting room. I am not a stickler when it comes to customer service, but I really appreciate when the associates give a genuine and pleasant experience, and that is what I received at Mo:Vint. I ended up buying a gorgeous floral top, personally recommended by Alyssa. I wore it the next day to work and got so many complements, so thank you Alyssa for your amazing fashion advice! First purchased this amazing brand through HauteLook (Nordstrom). I had not heard of this designer, but loved the look. When I tried the items on, I fell immediately in love. Well designed, well made. The material is exquisite and I feel like I am wearing an item specially made, even though I purchased off rack. I do not live near any stores, however, there is always UPS. I bought a jumper in New York a year ago. I wore it several times and washed it ONCE exactly according to the instructions on the label. The jumper shrunk! I cannot wear it anymore! Since I live in Los Angeles I went to the store on Larchmont ave. where I was told that returns are only within 15 days of purchase with receipt and unaltered. How could I return it in original condition if the problem occurred after I had warn it AND washed it? what good is even having the receipt at that point? When the sales person and her boss are unwilling to listen to the customer they lose more than one business. read more

Every time I come into this store, the associates are so helpful and sweet! I have been to this store 4 times in total in the past couple months or so and finally realized that I needed to let everyone know how great this place is! The first time I saw this store, I was with my husband and we were going to the Apple store to get my phone fixed but I wanted to walk around while we waited for it to be finished. We walked over to 21 Choices to get yogurt and then I saw this super cute coat in the window at Mo Vint next door... I had never been into this store before so I didn't know what to expect but I had an excellent experience! I was greeted by a couple of the associates that were working at the time. One of the associates saw that I was looking at the coat in the window and kindly helped me find where it was in the store and helped me pull together an entire outfit with it and I ABSOLUTELY loved it! Yes, it is a tad bit pricey but the quality of the clothes is totally worth it!!!! (Way better than anything you could buy at a Forever 21) They have a TON of cute, trendy, modest clothing! I am writing about the store on Larchmont Boulevard. This little shop is filled with really cute vintage looking clothes. However more and more customer service is starting to matter to me. On this day my friend and I walked into the shop, we were the only customers. There was a girl at the counter, Who was either on the phone or on the computer. She could've been doing work related activities, I really don't know what she was doing. What she was not doing, was welcoming us to the store, asking if she could help us, or even looking at us. After she saw me struggling with several garments she did ask if I'd like a room. And put the clothes in the room. My friend and I asked a few questions,but she seemed completely uninterested . I would give five stars if I could because I like their styles, but if I'm ever going to shop here again I'm going to have to take my chances buying size L and hoping they'll fit once they've shrunk after just two washes. I returned one item with a receipt and tags on a garment two days after the stated return period ended and the sales rep would not provide store credit and traced the store policy with her finger.
