Yesterday was my second time using this company. Both times unfortunately were emergency situations. The first time I had a water leak in the bathroom (at 2 am) and the second time my water heater flooded my garage. MNS Plumbing were very caring, courteous and knowledgeable (even at 2am). Both times were handled in a very timely manner. I called around noon on a Friday afternoon about the water heater and had a new one professionally installed within hours. They even worked with my home warranty company and handled it flawlessly! Great customer service and if I ever need them again, I will call ONLY them. MNS was referred to us by the Mitigation Company that came to dry out the results of a leak in the house. Mark installed and re-routed a new hot water system by going up through the crawl space. He was very professional and accomplished that in record time. A couple of weeks later our bathtub faucet generated a leak. Even though we called late in the day, he braved the afternoon traffic from wherever he was to Ahwatukee and fixed the leak! My renter called and told me there was a plumbing problem underneath his kitchen sink. I guess it's hard to find a good Anthem plumber (I don't live close). Mark came out, found the source of the leak (dishwasher line), and while doing so, his communication with me was great. He made sure I was kept in the loop the whole time --the problem, cost, etc. His professionalism gave me a lot of confidence, and hes a good guy to talk to. Since he came out right away, the leak was fixed early enough that it didn't do a bunch of damage. And I'm not there to stand over people's shoulders, so I have to be able to trust them to do their job right. Small, family owned, and it shows (in a bad way). There is no communication between office and plumbers, no communication between office and customers, or customers and plumbers. We recently hired this company to do an entire re-pipe in our brand-new house. I won't go into alllllllll the details of our job, but let me just say, it was not a good experience. Bonnie, the owner, is awful. Maybe she didn't like us because we don't have kids, or that we're gay. But we were treated so poorly, I can't think of any other reasons. In the beginning she was very helpful and said what she needed to get the work. However, once we reached out with displeasure, her tune completely changed. She was defensive, condescending, and didn't believe everything we were telling her. First, the work that was described prior to job was totally inaccurate. She said holes would be "surgical", as small and precise as possible. This was not the cases. I understand they don't know what's behind the walls, so they need to cut holes to check things out, but this was worse than that. The holes were MASSIVE. They tripled our drywall work just to fix them. TRIPLED! Old pipes were left hanging out of walls, trash and debris was left behind, no clean up, barely any drop cloths, ruined baseboards in all 3 bathrooms, left a soaking wet paper towel in a bathroom cabinet OVERNIGHT, shut off our irrigation system and failed to turn back on (killed our plants and grass bc there was no water to them for 2 weeks), it took over a week for anyone to even respond to my emails/calls. Finally, now 3 weeks after the job, probably 40 emails, phone calls, and texts, we finally got a message that they "will not change their minds" about how to make this right. Not to mention, all the time my wife and I spent trying to contact them, writing the emails, texts, getting on calls. They were late for scheduled call, didn't respond for days, and only did certain things after we asked. They finally gave us HALF of what we were looking for to make it right today. Job was April 20th. They argued every point we made and basically called us stupid saying we, and our handyman, are "not licensed plumbers" and things were done "based on expertise in the plumbing industry". Avoid them. It won't end well, trust me. Had things been done satisfactory, this would have been a completely different review. read more

If I could rate this business a "0" I would. Steer clear of this business! Here is what happened: MNS Plumbing/Bonnie, II spoke with you late yesterday about a service order from my home warranty company to come out and repair/replace a leaking water heater. My home warranty company contacted you because this was an emergency and you stated that you could be at my property by 5pm. At 5:30pm I contacted you and you stated that you did not receive a work order from First American. I told you I had the work order and provided that to you. You then stated you needed an email but would call the home warranty company. During this call you asked me specific questions about the type of water heater that I had. (electric/gas, size, make/model, warranty). You told me you would call in the morning after the technicians 8:30am service call. I called you at 8:30am, 9:30am and left messages in which no one returned my call. I then called again at 10:45am (from a different phone line in which you answered the phone) I spoke with you and you said give me 15 minutes and I will call you back. After 45 minutes I called my Home Warranty company where they put me on hold and contacted you. You told them you did not service water heaters that big. I told the home warranty company it was not 80 gallons but 65 gallons so they called you back for service and then you stated that you do not work on water heaters at all. I had to call my home warranty company back and before they could find me a new contractor they tried to reach you because all of their paperwork on file states that you do indeed service hot water heaters, not surprising you would not take their call or call them back. This is mind boggling, you did not have the common courtesy of calling me back, telling me that from the beginning? No, you didn't because you do service them and just did not want to take this job. The real disappointment is that you couldn't even tell me that, return a phone call so I could make other arrangements. I now am going on 2 days of no water and flooding. This is egregious and hardly how a company should be run. read more

It cost me $80 when I changed my mind about using them to replace my water heater after realizing the amount being charged is way too much compared to ProSkill's quote to replace it. However, with this charge plus cost after tax with the latter, I believe I still save money. Therefore I won't be using MNS in the future and won't be recommending them to friends because of the higher quotes and their "you can't change your mind charge" customer service No-no. Advice to reader of this review, shop around and don't feel pressured to say YES right there and then. Yelp and the web might lead you to a much better alternative. read more

Had an emergency Saturday nite. They responded promptly, fixed the problem, and were friendly and reasonably priced.

My toilet was gurgling and backing up and the ground outside my bathroom was wet and I had a party happening in less than a week. I called a bunch of plumbers through Yelp and got them over to give me estimates so I could get the best price for the job. Two of the plumbers took cursory looks at the house and the situation in my yard and then hit me with estimates for $12,000 to $14,000 to redo the entire plumbing in my house (the house is nearly 100 years old). One of the plumbing companies deigned to even give me a bid on the work. Dax came over and dug up the wet, stinky yard till he found the old metal pipe broken in two places, then he snaked the sewer main and freed the blockage and got my toilet working again. He gave me a good understanding of sewer lines in AZ (ceramic vs cast iron vs orangeburg) and came back the next day to replace the broken pipe and install cleanouts. The whole thing cost less than $2000 when other companies were trying to upsell me to a $14000 job that just wasn't necessary. I would recommend these guys to ANYONE. read more

Last Friday morning I opened my garage door and found a bubbling spring next to our ironwood tree. It was about 2' x 3', and it was obvious our water main line was leaking. I monitored the rate of the leak by reading our meter, and my wife and I began researching plumbers -- mainly using the Phoenix BBB website. We only considered plumbers with an A+ BBB rating, and preferred plumbers that were BBB accredited. The company we called was in the process of shutting down for a week's vacation, but they recommended we contact MNS Plumbing. About 130PM we called. The woman from MNS apologized that their technicians were all busy on jobs and said someone would show up at 7AM on Monday morning. Thirty minutes later she called us back and said said for a technician just finished a job, and that he would be at our house soon. The person who came was perfect, a former US Marine, a hard worker, and very friendly. He worked until dark, digging out the area by hand (during a monsoon rain), he found three large roots about 5" around which pressed the pipe and caused it to crack. He cut out the roots, then had to get parts. He came back, repaired the pipe, and by the time the sun had set, it was fixed. His work was excellent, his attitude was excellent, his bill was surprisingly fair. We could not have been happier. After moving to the valley six years ago, we finally found a plumbing business we trust. read more
