Failure to launch. Avoid ML (Mindy) Audio unless you want to be told you don't know what you're talking about after stating you have some loose speaker wires that need to be connected. Classic response from the owner Mindy to my review was "whatever dude", that speaks volumes. Called April 1 @ 9:40AM for a quote and to see if they might be able to fix my car audio issue. I told the girl (Mindy/Minh Li) that there might be some speaker wires might be loose or disconnected & there was some crackling sounds before the audio went out. I told him I was having some car suspension issues that could have caused some connections to get loose. I told him I was getting an AMP error. He then tells me I don't know what I'm talking about, I'm not using the right terminology, has never heard of an AMP error and I said I don't know anything about what services they provide. I got a head unit installed in my 2000 Mercedes E320. I had the unit already, I just wanted it installed and to possibly keep the steering wheel controls. He came in to ask me questions in between. He eventually told me he didn't have the correct part for the steering wheel controls, which isn't his fault because he was just trying it out. When he first said it was done I went to try it out and the bluetooth didn't work. I had to wait another 20m for him to figure that out. Then I came out and everything seemed okay so I payed for it and left. Since then the head unit has shut off and restarted twice, and my cigarette lighter doesn't work. read more

Outstanding! I recently bought a Mazda and since I was going on a mini vacay to LA the following week, I was desperate to find a car alarm system. Called everywhere in Sac and they all quoted me at $250 or higher. Came across ML Audio and seeing how it's all 5 stars, there had to be something good about this shop. Called and was instantly greeted by the owner, Minh. He was offering his service for $175+tax. Not bad. He was very customer-oriented and proved that all his work is A+ quality. I went to him on the same day and purchased the standard car alarm system. I waited about 15 minutes until he started on my car. I then left and came back about an hour later and he was just about done. He told me that I needed additional parts to install the system in my Mazda but he worked his way around it without affecting any of the surrounding components of my car. I mentioned the $5 for $10 yelp deal and he made my purchase $175 flat, even though it would have been 172 but it's only a few dollars. I recently purchased a Kenwood powered subwoofer and needed to have it professionally installed. I was referred to ML Audio by the owner of VIP Auto body (check out review). I called and setup an appointment with Minh. When I arrived, Minh checked out the subwoofer and provided suggestions as to different ways that it could be installed and how I could improve the overall sound system. My days of needing to have the loudest and hardest hitting system in the community are over. However, my goal was to add a little bass to my factory setup, and improve the clarity of my vehicle's midrange speakers. Originally I planned on replacing all 8 speakers, and powering the new speakers with a 4-channel amplifier. However, Minh suggested that I only replace the two front speakers (for obvious reasons), and go ahead with the powered subwoofer install. Based on whether or not I like the performance of the new speakers (Infinity Kappa 693.9i), then he would suggest installing the 4-channel amplifier. I took Minh's advice and had the powered subwoofer and 2 front speakers installed. Because I was late for my appointment, Minh needed to keep my car overnight. The next day Minh called to tell me that the install was complete. Per my request, he installed the subwoofer's bass control in a concealed area (no need to advertise for potential thieves). I noticed that the install was extremely clean with no visible wires. He conducted a demo of the system, and I was impressed by the clarity and loudness of the new speakers. More than likely I will come back in order to have the rear speakers replaced. I recently purchased an OEM leather seat kit for my vehicle, so I will bring this to Minh for installation this summer (yes he does upholstery too). Overall I was satisfied with the service and products that I received. Minh does a great job of providing suggestions without coming off as being too pushy. I just needed a new stereo in my family minivan, so I could utilize BT for my phone. No huge woofers, no screaming amps. Just a new radio. Everything was reasonable, and I felt comfortable with his reviews. He's been doing custom stereo installation now for 15 years. I dropped the car off at open (9am) and he texted me at 11. There was a brief mixup, as the radio I had requested was damaged. I opted for a different model, and he texted me a picture of it prior to installation to ensure it was ok to go ahead. When I came to pick it up, he showed me how to hook up the BT audio/phone and other features. All in all, it was a great experience. Recently had windows tinted on a 2019 Kia Sportage EX. Dropped the car off at 12-1p and met Minh. He told me that he could the install the tint on the 5 back windows and 2 front windows and have the car back to me around 5. Decided on a 5% rear and 45% fronts. At 445 Minh called to say the car was ready. I arrived a little after 5 (traffic) to pick up the car and the tint job was fantastic.
