It was great that we were given that option. Since we saw that we'd do a few more projects in the future we decided to open a card and get the promotional discount for doing so. We let the staff member know we were both educators and she was super helpful. We felt the value we paid for what we purchased was spot on. While we were waiting for our items to be brought around back to the loading zone we looked around for our future home projects. The loading staff was awesome. They made sure to load everything for us quickly and made sure they stacked it safely into our SUV each trip we took to pick up all of our items. We will for sure return when we're ready for our next project. Definitely recommend!

This review is for the cooking class not the store. I booked for the dim sum cooking class which…read moreincluded pork bao buns, crab Rangoon and porcupine meatballs. I was extremely disappointed we didn't actually cook anything. Everyone was very nice but my expectations for a $100 + cooking class per person were not met considering we didn't cook anything. I was handed a packet with all the recipes for the food we were "making". The first recipe was the crab rangoon except all we did was stuff the wonton wrappers and actually put it together. Same with the bao buns. At no point were the porcupine meatballs even a thing. They were made prior, mentioned, and put on our plates. Everything was made in advance. So I paid to fill wonton wrappers and get printed out recipes I could find online. Also, we weren't even going to get to stuff the bao buns. They were going to have a group of people do each thing - 1 to stuff the buns and the other crab Rangoon except I said I wanted to do the buns too so everyone got to do a couple. Honestly the food was bland except for the bao buns. I won't be using their recipes. Truely disappointed and feel like I was swindled out of money. They should be more forthcoming about what this "cooking class" entails. It's not actually cooking.

Contracted Modern Home Remodeling to remodel both of our bathrooms toward the end of 2019…read more Ray was great to work with and provided a lot of ideas for us to consider for our remodeling project. Main scope of the project involved a fairly straightforward gut of a hall bathroom, and a pretty major reconstruction of our master bathroom (custom shower stall, frameless shower door, walling up a window). Additionally, our master bathroom had a leaky shower stall that resulted in some really rotted joists, but Ray and his team also fixed that for us to provide us that peace of mind. The projected timeline was 7-10 days for each bathroom, and the project was completed well within that timeline. Throughout the process, Ray and his team were receptive to concerns we noticed and were quick to correct any glaring issues. Had I written this immediately after the job was completed, this review would have likely been 5 stars. But in the months since, there have been a few minor pain points that have popped up. For both of our bathroom sinks, water tends to pool and eventually runs away from the basin, off the countertop edge and onto the floor. And in one of the bathrooms, the new paint already began to blister and peel, which is a little disappointing to have happen just months after having everything redone. In summary, I think Ray and his team are absolutely skilled and do solid work. They work incredibly fast, which felt great in real time, but in hindsight, perhaps the tradeoff is a minor drop-off in quality.
