Norman's Bridal - Here's to 45 years! Congratulations

We had such high hopes walking into Norman Bridal, but our experience has been very disappointing…read more On August 2nd, my daughter's grandmother purchased a veil here as a gift from her great-grandmother who has passed away. It was meant to be something sentimental and special. The veil was not in stock and we were told it would not be ordered until they had enough orders to submit to the manufacturer. We paid $280 in cash. Since then, my daughter has chosen her gown elsewhere, and we respectfully asked that the transaction be canceled since no veil had been ordered, nothing was in their possession, and no product was received. Unfortunately, Norman Bridal has refused. Their only offer was to let her pick out a different veil, but they do not carry the style she wants, and their "no refund" policy is being applied even when there is literally nothing to return. What makes this even more frustrating is that they have now stopped responding to my emails. Instead of helping us resolve this situation, we are left with silence and a store credit we cannot use. This is especially disappointing given the sentiment behind the purchase -- a gift from a great-grandmother who is no longer with us. Instead of being able to honor that gesture, we're left feeling like $280 of family meaning and memory is being held hostage by a rigid policy. I would caution other families to be very careful here. Read the fine print, and know that even if they haven't ordered or provided the item, they will not give you your money back -- and they may stop responding once you question it.

David's Bridal - Picture with the best wedding dress consultant!

I got my wedding dress from here and the day I was trying on dresses was a dream. They were…read moreextremely helpful and kind. I ended up getting my dream wedding dress. However, there was a miscommunication about alterations, and I called to confirm an appointment for my bridesmaids. I was under the impression that alterations through David's Bridal were free. I am completely fine with paying for any alterations because I know that is a lot of work. While on this phone call with an employee she was extremely rude to me and was extremely unprofessional. I have never felt that belittled or attacked. My bridesmaids overheard the conversation with this employee, and they were in utter shock as well. This encounter unfortunately has me questioning if I am comfortable purchasing anything else from David's Bridal.

I'd like to preface this review by saying that I work in guest relations and I am not posting this…read morejust to be a jerk. Wow this was literally the worst customer service I've ever had in my life. The consultant was extremely pushy about me writing a review so here we are. My sister was getting married but I wasn't in the party so I dropped into this location about 3 weeks from the event. I know, I know, last minute but I work insane hours. I pulled about five dresses and while I was trying them on the consultant kept trying to sell me heels even though I told her I'd be wearing flats. She even tried to make me try heels on "just to see how they look" after I said no about a thousand times. One of the dresses I picked was several sizes too big but I loved the design and the color so that's what I went with. When alterations came over to give me a quote she gave me a dirty look and basically said "oh yeah, we won't get this done in time. You shouldn't have procrastinated". She was so abrasive that I literally asked to speak with a different woman. The second woman that came over was much kinder but also pressed about the lack of time. I mean people are canceling weddings all over the country, I understand being short staffed or something but if it can get done why add the stress to a guest who is probably already trying to get a lot done. I can't imagine how anxious that would have made a bride feel. She pinned me and I thought everything was going well. I made the appointment for the final fitting and went on my way. About two days out for the final fitting they called to move my appointment and I was kind of given no choice so I had to move my work schedule around to make it work. When I went for the final fitting the dress did not fit as promised. The bust was all pulled and the waist and bodice was about 3" off. I told them I wasn't happy but was again met with the "we don't have time". Oh they also charged me a rush fee. Love that. So I took my dress home and cried. I contacted customer service through the website and after several interactions they asked me to bring my dress back in so the manager could look at it. I brought it in and the manager was a monster. She kept yanking at the dress and even raised her voice. She tried to down play my experience and the quality of the work. She told me that I bought a junior sized dress which is why it didn't look right through the bust, even though it was originally about three sizes bigger than I am, and basically body shamed me. When I pinched the inches of extra fabric around my waist she told me that my waist was too high for the dress. Have you ever seen a junior sized dress with a low waist? Yeah me either. After about 30 minutes of belittling she offered me a 25% refund on the alteration, about $30. Pretty insulting for a $400 dumpster fire. If you want to feel beautiful, if you want to feel special, or important for your big day, run as far away from David's Bridal as possible. If you like being over charged, body shamed and aggressively up-sold. It's perfect. I assume that if you're reading this that you have an exciting event coming up, I hope you have a wonderful time and that you find the perfect ensemble.

I bought a super cute dress in the smallest size available at the time I was shopping. The dress…read morewas large for me but I bought it anyway knowing that I would take it to be altered. The length of the dress was already fine so no hemming to shorten the dress was requested or necessary. The dress is quite roomy in the arm holes due to being a little large for me. After a seamstress had pinned up the requested changes a different seamstress took my dress to the service counter telling me it would be ready 1 week from today. Me: " That sounds great" There was a small order slip with $65 already written on it. She asked my name and phone number. She wrote my information on that very little slip. Then she says: "That will be $65" Me: "You want me to pay you for work that you have not done and I'm not seeing the fit is even correct for me?" Her: "That's our policy." Me: "Give me my dress back."

They…read morecan do really complicated alterations and fix things I didn't think could get fixed, but they can also do simple alterations like pant hems, or replace buttons. One time I needed some jeans hemmed before I went on a hunting trip and they did them while I waited. I am astounding at how they can fix my shirts that see rough use, when I wasn't sure they could fix them. These are skilled artisans, and I think their prices are more than fair. I appreciate how they will always tell me up front how much things will cost, so there are not any surprises. The workers there are always friendly, and are efficient in getting me rung up and out of there quickly. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Also, I have noticed a few reviews complain about cost. My response is 1. Alterations are not based on what you originally paid for the garment. 2. These are highly skilled artisans and deserve to be paid for their skills and knowledge. 3. They give you a price UP FRONT so you get to decide if you want them to do the work. Don't agree to have them do the work then come back and complain the price is too high. Lastly, I have never had a problem with them, but I know they are good people. If there is ever a problem they are more than happy to fix any issues, just communicate with them and they will fix it. They have always been awesome for me, I love this place!
