The day of my wedding Mallory came well prepared and on time. Her organization is a plus (it kept me at ease) she planned her time accordingly with the bridesmaids and even had ample time to work on me. She goes the extra mile by giving tips on how to keep the longevity of your make up looking at its best throughout your day. Needless to say, I didn't need to touch up my makeup. She gave me the best haircut my unruly hair has had in years. I'm Alaskan Native with thick hair that is hard to style. I had to get used to the amount of time it took. She takes her time. She also blowdries and styles it to make sure it looks just right. I had to leave abruptly because my scheduled bus ride was there. She made an appointment so I could come back and check it. She improved an already great cut. I'm happy with the way she takes her time and checks her work. There are other regulars and they seem to have known each other a long time. One customer brought food in from nearby Dudley's and the two chatted like old friends while the stylist started coloring her hair. I finally found my new hairstylist.

Black on top with red underneath. Pedro Trujillo, Maritza's brother, was the beautician who told me he could preform the hair color trend. When I arrived he took 20 minutes to eat his lunch. When I was in the chair he went next door to Walgreens's and got Splat semi permanent BOX HAIR DYE. That obviously didn't work so he went to Sally Beauty and purchased another semi permanent hair dye, which he told me to APPLY MORE EVERY TWO WEEKS!!! I asked for permanent so I didn't have to do my own hair. Hence the reason I went to a salon. He should've had all the products needed in his salon. He took 5 hours to do a service that should've taken an hour and a half max. He did not wear gloves, use a brush to apply color, or wrap individual pieces with foil. He grabbed, pulled, and scrunched my hair to apply the color. I had dye on my neck, forehead, and ears. He gave a walk-in haircut and made me sit and wait. I had an appointment. This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had in my 51 years. The color lasted two weeks. I asked for a permanent hair color trend. A simple task that any licensed professional beautician should be able to perform. I called Maritza and she apologized at first m, then when I asked for a refund, it ended in her threatening me with religious prosecution! This was absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional as a business owner. Pedro Trujillo Sanchez also was yelling at me in front of clients when I went back in for the receipt I wasn't given the day of service. Also unacceptable and unprofessional. This Salon is called "A New Look Salon." BUT they do not have their business name on the business. It's MB Salon. I would like to mention I am in a wheelchair so it's not easy for me to shop around especially trying to grab from the top shelf. I didn't ask for help but there was two ladies that acknowledged me right away. One lady helped me find a deodorant, I was looking for and the other lady named Mari came and asked me if I still needed help and she helped me for a quite a while. I didn't feel rushed or like a burden she made me feel really comfortable and her customer service was top-tier. When you're in a wheelchair people can make u feel uncomfortable or awkward. She definitely made my shopping trip worth it. Thank you Mari !!
