I've gone to Tanya's for many years & disappointed under new mgmt I had a mani-pedi w/gel which cost me $100. & the lady was very rough digging in so hard to pull out skin on my toes that she put a cut on me that not only hurt, it was bleeding. The alcohol she had put on my toes after she cut my skin burned so bad. Perhaps I just need to try another person as I see many good reviews & will request another person to try. honestly i've been going to tanya's for a couple of years now to get my toes down, and they do a decent job at that but today I went in to get a fill since my usual Nail Tech wasn't available and I wanted to give them a try to do a simple set. How can you ruin a simple fill right? I came here today to get mine and my moms nails done, and we were unsatisfied with there prices now. i got a basic nail set for 55$!! and my mom get toes & gel for 80$!! ive been here before many times and never got charged this. i have gotten more "crazier" sets of nails for 40-50 (with design) and the one day i come just to get a one color for my hands it's 55$! the lady who did my nails was very aggressive while doing them. also, while my mom finished paying the nail lady said "are you going to leave a tip" sassy - i'm sorry but that shouldn't be asked because they seem very greedy when it comes to that. over all, i wouldn't recommend this place because prices have gone high- it's sad to not come here anymore after the amount of times i have but this isn't okay. read more

Walked in at 2 pm on a Saturday and got lucky, no wait and four staff ready to assist me and my sister. Both of us were seated in no time. We each had ladies working on our pedi's and two gentlemen doing our mani's. Nothing against guy manicurists, but the sweet old man who did my nails gave me the worst mani of my life. His hands were so rough, even with all the lotion the hand massage he gave me felt like my hand and arm were rubbing against an aligator. Thank god it only lasted 20 seconds. Then he cut my cuticles jaggedly, some cuticle was still left, but where he did cut cuticle, he cut too deep. I was bleeding on four fingers. Cuticle cuts sting for hours! :( When he painted my nails, he'd use his knife-like nail to "edge" off paint but it just made it look worse. He touched a few nails as he painted other nails on accident, damaging the paint, but he didnt fix it. I wanted to say something but he was such a sweet old man, kept asking about my day and complimenting me, and the funny thing is when he finished he held my hand took a step back and seemed really proud of his work... I guess i didnt want to dissapoint him... ?? But i feel better now that im posting this. If theres a next time, and he starts to touch my nails, i'll kindly ask for someone else. I still gave three stars for the good job on my pedi, the OPI polish selection, and the hot towels, which were a great touch! read more

6/27/12: Stick to the usual ladies that do your nails. I did like Tanya's salon, but I had beginners give me a manicure & pedicure. I cannot say they did a thorough job. I don't think they spoke English. Nicky had to correct the errors that were made. The man did a bad job with the manicure (he was picking at my skin) and when it was time to do the gel on my nails he didn't have it under the light for the time that was needed. I asked Amy if he's done this before since my manicure was a nightmare and he didn't seem confident/seemed overwhelmed. (I should have asked if he was licensed) And she said "yes, he used to work at another salon, but he doesn't know where all the things are." Good thing Nicky came to save me! Awful Service I've been here before but this time was a huge inconvenience. The first hour she said she would be right with me but then I noticed she was helping other customers who walked in after me. I confronted her and thats when she said I would be next, she sat me in a chair to soak my feet. I ended up sitting there until my feet pruned. That was it for me. I got out of that chair and told her I wasn't going to wait any longer. She apologized and I walked out. I waited over 2 hours!! Dollars to have a fill with one replaced nail ( thumb broke off) I had asked for no gel just regular polish because my Dr. told me to stop using the heat light that they have you put you hand in. When they did my nails they did them beautiful. i loved them, the lady that did them took her time. and when she did them it was my birthday, so I told her it was my birthday and she added gem/sparkle things around the bottom of my nail and didn't make me pay her for adding that and she was very nice. but... my cousin went to also do her nails and the lady that did her nails was not pay attention to her or the nails when she was doing them! my cousin wanted them longer and she made them smaller. the lady was just on her phone on FaceTime with someone! He cut my nails at odd angles deep into the nail bed and then sharpened them to thin points. The gel was smeared and not set. It looks like a five year old did it. The old man had dirty ass hands, no manners and left me bleeding in three different places. I normally am not one to complain and usually the only time I write a review is when I have good things to say about a place but this I just had to share! I had the worst full set white tip mani there! It was done by an older Asian man who continuously burned me with the nail drill. He was very rude and would laugh at me whenever I'd tell him he was hurting me. He was in such a rush to finish that he left my nails thick after I had told him I wanted them thin he also left them bumpy and didn't run the drill under my nails to clean up under them. It was a huge mess! On top of that He continued to ask for a higher tip (I personally didn't think he deserved one). He kept looking around distracted as if he was trying to finish with me so he can move onto the next person. Don't get me wrong Tanya's has good pricing. The owner seems really friendly but I don't recommend the guy that I had such an unfortunate luck to get! So if you go just Make sure an old Asian man doesn't get a hold of your fingers or toes because HE WILL HURT YOU AND LAUGH AT YOU AND MAKE YOUR NAILS LOOK LIKE CRAP AND ASK FOR A HIGHER TIP. I did complain but they didn't offer me anything in return to fix the problem.
