Did you tell your mom to come -I looked at her like girl I don't even know what's going on so why would I tell her to come once we went to the room? It was like again we were kind of just sitting there like what's going on a few minutes later she brought in a glass of champagne for my mom so we hung out there for about 30 minutes before they took us back for the massage. I think it was a really big missed opportunity to say "hello Welcome to aqua blue. My name is so-and-so thank you for booking this package" or happy Mother's Day whatever but she literally didn't greet us at all. My mom looked bummed that it was starting off with a really lackluster experience I paid $400 for this package You would think once they saw my reservation for such a package they would've at least acknowledged it in some way By the time we got upstairs, I was pretty frustrated with the service we were receiving -thank goodness Ruben and Manny were really friendly and helpful. It probably would've been lower stars if Manny wouldn't have been so unbelievably sweet, caring and compassionate. My mom was really struggling getting off her jewelry and nobody would help her. I have really long nails so I was struggling. Manny was the only person nice enough to attempt to help her and put it back on after the massage was completed To be honest for $400 I was pretty disappointed. Manny did a great job and I am very thankful for him. My mom was really happy with Ruben. But did I feel like I was there getting a luxurious experience for Mother's Day absolutely not! Did I feel like we were bothering them with a groupon package absolutely! The advertise these chocolates that they had, I asked about them they didn't have any available. It just seemed like a lot of missed opportunities and we were there the day before Mother's Day so any of the ladies that went on actual Mother's Day We're probably super bummed that they didn't have any of the accoutrement offered. Sad part is the following weekend. I took my mom to happy feet down the street and she got a foot and neck massage and I got a neck and shoulder massage and the total was $70 and to be honest I felt more relaxed when I was leaving there, then I did with aqua blue . I'm kind of glad I decided to do that because honestly, I was going to book with Manny again because he was amazing but with those prices to not be happy was pretty unacceptable. My dad passed recently, so Mother's Day had proven to be harder than expected. That's why I wanted to do something extra special for her this year by booking the spa. We have been to massage envy before and that's honestly where I was gonna go this time, but I was trying to do an elevated experience that was outside of a corporate place but honestly, I think even the value at massage envy is greater than here because again with those prices to not be happy it's just crappy honestly it took me a while to write the review because I didn't want to seem Like I didn't enjoy the time with my mom. I absolutely did. I just didn't enjoy the lack of customer service- if I was paying what I paid over there at happy feet this would've been a five star review but $400 later to leave unsatisfied.... Lulu worked on all of my focus areas plus identified other areas that she felt were really tense. It is a deep tissue experience so make sure you like deep tissue work before you book this massage. I've been getting lash extension since 2008, so I'm not a rookie. I used to get my lashes done is San Jose and Los Gatos. The techs there are skilled and there seems to be a lash salon on every corner. We moved to Marina 2 months ago, and I was bummed that I couldn't find a good lash person in Monterey or Carmel. The quality of work just wasn't was I was used, especially for the price. Driving to San Jose for fills was becoming such a pain, so I decided to try Nicole based on the Yelp reviews. Here's what I like: Nicole is friendly and clean. I liked the fact that I could smell hand sanitizer (or soap) on her hands. She uses good products. I can't remember the lash size she used, but they were soft to the touch and perfect for my eyes. They are thick enough to be seen, but not so thick that they weigh my eyelids down or look like I'm wearing falsies. The glue she used didn't both me (sometimes during allergy season, I can be extra sensitive to the glue). Nicole is fairly quick. I think it took an hour for a fill. Now understand, this was the first time I saw Nicole. She was doing a fill on someone else's work, so I think an hour is pretty decent. Nicole's prices are reasonable, especially for the end result. What I really like and appreciate about Nicole is that she is REALLY gentle. I have an extra-sensitive lash line, and she never once made me flinch. There was no pulling or yanking of my old lashes. I could actually relax and enjoy my time on the table.

Trash place she didn't clean under my original nails before she put on acrylics she didn't let me get a basic nail polish and put gel on them (which I did not want) plus they were fresh and it looks like I already need a fill in. She didn't even paint my whole nail(s). I had $25 gift card from there and I paid a difference of $25!!! $50 nails wtf. Plus when I went to pay with card she said "put in the tip." ??? While getting the pedicure I read a book, but once the massage started I just closed my eyes and listened to the different languages and music. The hum seemed very friendly The only negative was when a man who was familiar with the female nail techs came over & changed the tone from classy to trashy. His gutter style encouraged the women to join in by using foul language. Yes, entiendo y hablo español. She wasn't friendly and didn't even let the timer run out on the light before demanding I put the other hand in. It looked ok at first but the polish peeled off the next day. It was a waste of my money and I won't go there again.

My goal was to let my natural nails grow for a few months. I was assigned to a new nail tech who spoke no English - not usually a problem. The frightening part of this experience came when she tried to sand down my nails with electric tool used to remove the gel. She began using this sanding tool on my nail which caused instant sensitivity to my finger. I asked her to stop & the owner-manager came over. Not much was said to me & no apologies. This woman showed the tech how to remove the remaining gel polish by soaking my nails with a cotton ball & acetone, wrapping in foil, and then scraping with hand tool. The tech didn't understand the technique, so she poured more acetone on my nails. The owner-manager removed the polish, cut, & filed my nails. The tech began trimming my cuticles & area around the nails but caused pain. I tried to pull away & she held my finger tightly. I stood up & walked out because of the poor communication between all of us and the fear that this inexperienced tech would injure me. New techs need to learn, but they need to be responsive to the customer. There are health & safety risks to these procedures. This salon does not value the voice of the customer & is NOT committed to safety protocols. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
