We can take u" and then u wait for 30 mins!! They respect their clients time and so Should you as a customer. They know their limits and will say No they can't take a walk in cuz they're busy. Very disappointed. I yelped this place and read good reviews and decided to check it out for the first time. Sadly as I walked in, the front desk lady seemed to be upset. Asked for a full set, and was rudely told, " I don't have time, leave come back later. " There was two clients there, and she must have been short staffed. Not my fault. The space itself is very clean, very spacious and they always have NBC on which I enjoy while having work done! I went to this place for my birthday because I had seen good reviews but UNFORTUNATELY, my experience was the WORST I have ever encountered. I walked in and was immediately sat down and told I would be helped right away. But instead I sat there for about 30 min waiting for someone to sit down and do my nails. After 30 min of long waiting an older lady came Eating food& smiled and said she would be doing my nails. Once she started taking. Nails out I told exactly what I wanted and even showed her some pictures she said she would Deff be able to get the work. I wanted coffin nails and well she did the process completely weird. First she glued my nails didn't even file them. Then added acrylic on top and then began to try and SHAPE them Into coffin . Let's just say she had added so much acrylic that she was trying to use scissors to cut the sides and they wouldn't budge and my nails were hurting . She tried to file them and file them for about 2 hours it's already 7 pm and the owner came and told her to move and she began reshaping my nails and felt super embarrassed she didn't want to look at me in the face . My cuticles were hurting and she was trying to fix her employee mistake ( WHICH OBVIOUSLY DIDNT KNOW WHAT SHE WAS DOINg) probably not even licensed. I arrived there at 4 pm and this was going on at 7pm. After they did all the filling down because they were so thick due to so much acrylic they had broke parts of the nail so you literally see through the nail . I was so upset and wanted to run out of there but I maintained my calm and said can I just pay and leave . The owner kept saying she could fix them. Repair them. I said NO my nails were already hurting so much that I just wanted to pay and run. I would NEVER EVER GO BACK. Maybe the owner does an amazing job but she should not let employees who don't know what they're doing work on ppls nails. She ruined my experience and Deff lost a potential customer . read more

Honestly the best spot in Salinas. Very clean and lots of space. Kim and T are my favorites for my fills i have never had an issue with their sets. Tracy is the best at pedicures. All three of them take their time and pay attention to the little details. Also make sure to make an appointment before walking in. I have been looking for a new nail salon in town for a while, all of them I was loyal to have been disappointing me lately so have been kinda bouncing around for my fills. I came in on a Tuesday afternoon it was pretty empty with 5 nail techs. There was no wait. First impression was the salon is very open spaced and you can feel a nice air breeze through the room, unlike some stuffy salons I've been to. Kim was the one who helped me, I love the job she did. I've been getting a fill here since they opened. I've always gone with Kim the owner. She does a good job but recently is not respecting appointment times. I completely understand 5-10 min, but no more than that for people who have appointments. I mean that's why there are appointments right? My time is as valuable as anyone else's time, other clients, workers etc...I understand it's a business and time is money for them but you could be more efficient and respect appointment times as well. I've always been charged $25 for a fill including fixing/repairing a nail or two with no extra charge. Today, Kim was going to be 40 min so her daughter "T"did my nails. T is a bit rude. Not friendly at all. And she charged me $5 extra to repair 1 nail when I've never been charged before. I don't like this inconsistency and the job she did on my nails was alright. I was disappointed and after being a loyal customer, I'm going to take my business somewhere else. To the owner Kim, you are great! But you need to talk to your daughter "T" she is very rude and her customer service sucks. You will continue to lose clients because of her. My sister went in recently and again encountered your rude daughter. All my sister had was simple questions about getting her nails done because she never gets them done. "T" was unfriendly and made her feel like she was wasting "Ts" time. Please please talk to your staff about providing great customer service! Your clients deserve it! Originally my co worker told me about this place and mentioned their affordable pricing for fills and I decided to give it a shot. I've been to this place on three different occasions for fills. My first experience was phenomenal! Loved the shape, color, and how thin the owner Kim had left them. My second experience was ok not as good as the previous as the Kim left them thicker than usual and some other nails not as thick. Still I was content. My third experience was a huge disappointment. On my arrival the owner Kim who usually fills my nails was busy so I was directed to her daughter also known as "T" T was rough, almost cut my index finger. I mentioned I wanted a coffin shape and she made me more square shaped. I told her I wanted them thin not thick.. she left them all different some noticeably thicker than others. Charged me $5 for one nail with acrylic that was beginning to lift, But wait this gets better.. just 2 days after my fill I noticed two nails were beginning to lift and crack from my nails. At this point I was very disappointed and rather going back and having them fix it, I went to another nail salon and had them fix them. I had high hopes for this place read more

So I went to Chic Nails a couple of weeks ago for a gel manicure. I was so pleased with my mani/pedi and was excited that I finally found a good place. Unfortunately, this time my visit was terrible. The lady assigned to me wanted me to soak my fingers in the acetone, and I explained to her that it severely dried out my finger tips and could she buff the top layer and use foil and cotton balls. So the picture below shows her half hazard attempt before again insisting I put my fingers on the acetone. I explained to her again that it dries out my finger tips and again asked for the cotton ball/foil method. I thought perhaps there was a language barrier. Nope, not at all, she smacked her lips in frustration and snatched my hand back trying to force it into the acetone. I pulled my hand back and told her if she couldn't fulfill my request I could go somewhere else. She yelled, I'll do it but was so aggressive that I told her never mind, grabbed my stuff and left.
