lisa was absolutely amazing! She transformed and fixed my hair from being damaged to feeling healthy in just a few hours without harming the hair! The salon was such a comfortable environment and lisa made me feel right at home my entire appointment. Not once was I uncomfortable as the customer service was phenomenal! This was the best salon experience I've ever had! I already booked my next appointment with Lisa because she was just that amazing! If you have the chance to go here I highly recommend!!! :)))) read more

Fantastic salon. I have the best stylist there! Joyce! She is so friendly, knowledgeabl, and professional. Every hair cut, new color, color update, or style has been exactly what I wanted. She is an excellent communicator and has a warm and interactive demeanor. read more

Overpriced and poor quality. I was charged $60 for a 30 min female haircut by Joyce. She left long stands on my hair. Never coming back to this awful place. read more

Everytime I call they've answered rudely. I called to inquire about Olaplex at their location once and they were very short and basically wanted me to hurry up so they could hang up on me. The second time I called to ask for a trim and the person who answered said "we don't have anything today" and then there was a long awkward pause and I was like thinking (okkkay?! Well aren't u going to offer something else!?) then she basically said bye and hung up So you don't want more business and you want a bad review on yelp... okay ... read more

Lisa did a fantastic job with my hair. I got just what I wanted. Super friendly and social. All the other ladies I came in contact with while being there all seemed friendly as well. Thank you Lisa! read more

I called a few salons all over Monterey to get my bleached blonde hair color corrected back to brown and finally decided to go with Lisa at Allure because of how immediately kind and knowledgeable she was! She talked me through every step of coloring my hair to make sure it was exactly what I wanted it to look like. I cannot speak highly enough of Lisa, I will be returning to Allure if I ever need my hair colored again. I left with exactly what I wanted and healthy happy hair! read more

I had a challenging hair job for an experienced stylist to tackle. I spoke to Lisa on the phone before making my appointment to see where her experience level was. She assured me over the phone that she had dealt with similar situations and had been doing hair for years. At my appointment both Lisa and her team were very sweet, but clearly inept- in spite of their supposed years of experience. I was facing chopping off pretty much all of my hair, at their advice. Luckily, I found a knowledgeable stylist at Elixir Salon in Berkeley, who not only saved my hair, but kept me from having to go short, as this salon kept advising. Keep in mind that the woman who saved my hair is in her mid 20s. These ladies are really sweet, but could use some extra training. Driving to Elixir in Berkeley every few months is WELL worth the drive. read more

Adriana styled my hair for my wedding 7 years ago and has styled, cut & colored my hair ever since. She's a true professional and expert. She has given me so many different types of looks/ colors while being realistic with me and without jeopardizing the health of my hair. I am constantly being stopped by complete strangers because they want to know who my hairstylist is. That's a total complement to how great she is! Highly recommend her. read more

This place sucks, do not go to Lisa she is messy and gives terrible customer service ‍ over priced

I am so happy to have gotten my hair cut, color and styling with Adriana. Her work speaks for itself but what pictures won't tell you is how attentive and compassionate she is. I went through a period of hair loss and she listened and not only gave me advice and tips to style my hair but also talked to me about hair fibers that made me feel confident. Although my hair has grown back, she has a customer for as long as she is in business. read more

I called a day ahead an made an appointment. Had my BEST salon experience in a good 3 years. Laurie was my stylist and did an amazing job cutting my hair. She cut the initial length wet and dry cut the rest so the cut actually worked with how my hair falls. Major plus! The salon its self was very clean and well set up, it had a very welcoming boutique feel. Each station had its own sink so you felt extra pampered not having to walk around with sopping wet hair. Everyone walking out left with beautiful hair and a smile! No disappointed customers and stylist seemed to be happy and enjoying their work and clients! And if you want the ultimate "me" day experience they also do nails. read more

A few months ago I had Frances lighten and color match my hair to a set of platinum extensions. This woman isn't just a hair stylist, she's an artist!! I'm coming back today..why? They treat you amazingly. My car battery died trying to leave and Frances jumped My car herself. They make sure you are happy and comfortable. They really go the extra mile and do amazing work, from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave, you feel special. I have been twice and I won't go anywhere else or use another stylist. read more

I have been going to allure for the past year and Lisa has been my stylist since the beginning. I find her pleasant, professional, and is an excellent men's hair stylist. Her prices are very fair, for such a great salon. I have gone to the super cuts of the world, and would feel like a training doll. At Allure I feel like I'm at some place special. Everyone is very friendly and kind! I will always come back for my hair cut services! read more

I had a facial by Simi Georgalos I scheduled because of a breakout. I'm way past breaking out in my 50's. By the next day my face I was mostly clear, the following day all clear. One week later my skin is glowing. Her room is large, clean pleasant and private. Simi has a great personality. Included in her facial is a soothing arm, shoulder and hand massage. read more

For the past 10 months I've been coming here every 2 weeks to get my hair cut done by the one and only Lisa. Let me start off by saying as a male it's hard to find a good barber that can cut hair, and Lisa cuts my hair every time to perfection. She's very sweet and always takes care of me when I'm there, she's flexible with her appointments and is always on point, i can honestly say that I've never had a bad experience with her. I highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for not only a hair dresser but one that makes you feel confident and great. She's awesome!! read more

I called twice to make an appointment no one ever called me back no message nothing...honestly and you want business? I pay great tips too.

Started coming here because of the great reviews for Frances... and YES they are all true! She is a great stylist... I came to her for a dry cut for my super curly/frizzy hair and love the cut. Then finally made time for my over due coloring, told her what I wanted and she did a great job- everyone is loving my color! She's very friendly and has a great personality and is on your time when your in her chair and I love that about her! read more

I called in wanting to get a appointment two times , and they said they would call me back to check ability I called two times and the two times nothing and this was a month ago. I don't like leaving negative comments put I will on this time so they keep an eye on their customers. read more

I called this place and was called back by Frenchie, she left me a message with her cellphone number and stated texting was easier for her. I texted, she asked me a couple of questions and when answered she never replied! Like really.....? read more

The one star is for customer service, not for a haircut. I was going to Joypers several weeks ago and stopped in at Allure to see if I could schedule an appointment. It looked lovely inside and seemed to be the kind of place I frequented back in the Bay Area. The receptionist (?) was curt and gave me a very pointed once-over. She said curtly that she would take my name and number and let the stylists know. A stylist would call me when they had an availability. I never received a phone call, but I can't say that I was too upset. After the "snotty" attitude and the barely concealed sneer from that woman, I felt like I had dodged a bullet! read more

I love Allure Salon! I started going there when i discovered that they sell Deva Curl products. Yes I have very curly hair and it's not easy to find a stylist that knows how to work with my kinda thick unruly hair :) Frances is my stylist and she is amazing with scissors. She cuts my hair dry and does a great job every time! If you live in salinas and have curly hair, this is the only salon for you. Plus everyone there is very sweet! read more

The salon is very clean and I like that each station has its own sink. I followed Dorcas here, because she is the BEST. I have worn my A-Line bob for a few years, only cut by Dorcas, because she is a precision cutter. Plus, she's a genuinely lovely person and always dependable. I make sure I book two appointments in advance, because she is so popular! read more

Today was my first time at the salon. The staff was welcoming and attentive. I had my appointment with Christina for a haircut and blow dry. She did an awesome job, exactly what I'd been wanting. I showed her a picture and without hesitation she knew what I wanted. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

This is the place to go if you want a great haircut every time! I've been getting my haircut by Bella for the past two years. She is the only stylist I've had that will listen to what I want and actually style it too. In the past, the stylists made my hair look very foo-foo. Bella is very contemporary, and I feel great when I leave. read more

Frances did a great job. She listened, made helpful suggestions, and gave a great cut and style. The salon is nice and comfortable, plenty of parking. Just call to make a reservation first. read more

Frances is amazing she did a great Balayage on me and it's just perfect. Couldn't be more pleased with my experience here ...

I just left Allure and I could not be happier with my hair! The hair gods were definitely working in my favor today because I got an appointment very last minute with Bella who really did a great job. I never know if I'm accurately communicating what I want to the hair dresser whenever I go to get a haircut but Bella seemed to just really understand what I want she delivered above and beyond my expectations. She even recommended a keratin treatment for my hair that I plan to go back to Allure for in the future! read more

When no one else could, Frances at Allure Salon did! I went from reddish-brown to a stunning platinum in 3 visits. Even my youngest son whom dreads having his hair cut cut is loving the haircut Frances gave him. I love the atmosphere of Allure salon. I thought at first it was going to be super expensive but their services are reasonably priced. Again, Frances is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I am a very picky person ; ) read more

I almost hate to give Sue and the salon such a high rating because right now she's been able to fit me in without a wait. But she and the salon deserve it. The salon is clean and inviting. Sue is an artist. With many years of experience, she knows what she's doing. She listens to her clients and performs magic. I wish I would have discovered her years ago. I could have saved myself a ton of aggravation. read more
