Great sushi, and pretty cheap too. The only complaint that I have is that even when I am placing an order for 2 or 3 different rolls, they package them ALL together. So I can't really tell what is what, and it's always been when I am ordering for a few friends, and it's almost impossible to separate because it is really not obvious. And there is just one set of chopsticks, for like 30 rolls (really?? lol). Anyway, still keep going back because they are usually very quick and great quality. read more

One of the worst sushi places I've tried in Boston. The spicy tuna roll was literally hot pink from the amount of food dye they put in it. It was unappetizing and just terrible. It was ok. I picked up the food myself so I did not run into wait times like other reviewers had. The portion on the Maki Rolls is pretty big, I ordered 4 since I'm a glutton and it was Fat Kid Saturday. The fish in the rolls did not taste like other sushi I've had. That's not really a good thing, or a bad thing for that matter. It was just...different. Definitely not better than I have had in the past. I don't know if it was slightly cooked maybe? Also, the rolls were pretty soggy like they had been sitting around for a long time, even though I picked up the order 20 minutes after placing it. As another review noted, the food seemed to be devoid of seasoning, salt, vinegar, anything really. Overall it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I ordered here one time pretty late at night due to some late-night hunger pangs. I asked for 1 Black Caterpillar roll with no eel sauce, 1 spicy tuna roll, 1 salmon roll, and 1 tobiko sushi. (Yeah, I was really hungry!) When I was informed that spicy mayo would cost extra, I asked them to cancel the tobiko, and just give me 2 spicy mayo. My order arrived in a timely fashion, but everything afterwards was quite disastrous. The tobiko sushi that I had cancelled was actually included in my order, and the Black Caterpillar roll had eel sauce on it, and the eel sauce had also spread onto the tobiko sushi. The spicy mayo (which had been sent in 2 oz. tubs) had only been 1/3~1/2 filled, which was quite appalling considering I had been charged extra for this. In addition, the following morning, I experienced a little bit of stomach upset, which proceeded to bug me for a majority of the day. The price that I'd paid for such a meal was vastly overpriced than any AYCE sushi place around the Greater Boston Area, and at a much lower quality and hygiene level. I'd never order from here again, and would not recommend this place to any of my friends. read more

First things first: I should have reviewed Miyuki a long long time ago. I first stopped by Miyuki about a year ago, my first time in Brighton. Then, I would stop by or order takeout every so often for a couple months. Now I order Miyuki at least once a week, sometimes twice or more. The food is delicious. The fish tastes fresh and clean, the price is fantastic, and the takeout is always ready early. I vary my meals between sushi and the actual entrees (the salmon teriyaki bento is too good!!) The sushi chefs and everyone who works there are so nice and always greet you at the door with a smile. I recommend Miyuki to all my friends and anyone who asks me where good sushi is. read more

I had come to expect mediocre food as a trade-off for convenience, but after trying take-out from Miyuki, now I know can have my hake and eat it too. Ordered delivery though DoorDash. Food arrived after around 20-25 minutes which was awesome and much faster than the app suggested. I also though the prices were extremely reasonable. Food: Shumai: yummy, about what you'd expect. The shrimp is pureed a little smaller then I prefer but the sauce was delicious. Crab Rangoon: nice size and amount for the price however filling was too cream cheese heavy. It felt more like it was just cream cheese than anything else. Spicy tuna maki: good flavor size and price. Spicy scallop salad: So good! My definite favorite. I was expecting a small portion for the price but there was a ton of scallop. I don't ever give reviews on yelp but I thought I would make an exception for this place. I was craving sushi after a day of travel and I ordered a Crazy Maki roll and it was really good. Like notably good. And I order takeout sushi in Boston quite frequently. It was SO affordable, and the roll had a really nice balance of rice to filling! Really tasty! Even the box it was in was nicer than a lot of other places in the area! I got the crab Rangoons also and they were prime as well :) Will definitely order from here again! read more

Unfortunately, I was not too pleased with my Miyuki experience. I wanted to try some place new for sushi, so I found them on Uber Eats and thought why not give them a try! I was really excited (and hungry) when I placed my order at 5:20pm. I was ordering for my friend and I. She eats fish and meat, but I am a vegetarian. When our food finally arrived at 7:10pm (YES, almost TWO HOURS LATER!), I took a big bite out of what I thought was the Vegetable Gyoza. To my unhappy surprise, they had given us PORK gyoza instead of VEGETABLE. As someone who has not eaten meat in 10 years, I felt disgusted and was extremely disappointed. If I had been less vigilant and hadn't noticed right away, I would have ended up very sick. After waiting almost two hours, the most that Miyuki could have done is make sure the food I am waiting and paying for is the correct food. Not being able to eat the gyoza, I was left with my Mushroom Maki Roll. I finished that roll and was still hungry, so I ended up going to the grocery store to get food I could cook. I had been out of the state for the past few days so I didn't have food in my house and wanted to avoid the grocery store and interacting with the public. I wish I had not waited 2 hours and paid $50 for food that I could not eat!! I was very very disappointed. That being said, my mushroom maki roll was DELICIOUS! And my friend said she liked her food as well. For any vegetarian friends or people with food allergies out there, I would not recommend this restaurant as they unfortunately don't seem to be as diligent as they should be. :/ read more

Living in Oak Sq especially near Thai North (so good) it was a hard idea to think of any other type of Asian cuisine. However, opening day I tried out this place and can't stop eating it now! The guys there remember my boyfriend and I everytime we go, they have us try new things and treat us with the utmost respect everytime we go or pick up. Sometimes when I run on Washington st I stop just to say hi! Their Volcano Roll, Shrimp tempura and crazy maki roll are my favorite. Also the Phillidelphia roll! I drank most of the smoothie while we waited for our food, the smoothie was delicious! The miso soup was top notch and the sushi (spicy tuna and mushroom maki) were fantastic! I am so genuinely upset by the customer service at this place. I order miyuki to my college campus quite frequently (usually weekly-ish). Tonight my friend and I had ordered a (free with $25 purchase) gyoza, 2 spicy tuna rolls, shumai, and a Red Sox roll ($50 worth after delivery/ tax). When our food arrived through Uber Eats, we opened the bag to see 2 (unknown) sushi rolls with a free gyoza (the whole order probably valued at $15 with the discount). We were obviously upset but my friend and I have a food-service backgrounds so we knew we need to be kind to the staff. We called Miyuki only to immediately be accused of lying about how much food we ordered and we were told there was nothing they could do to fix it. They said they had not received a mirrored complaint of a different order being messed up, but thatThe manager was so rude on the phone and ended the call pretending to have a bad phone connection (saying "hello? Hello? Can you hear me?" Before he hung up). This was very upsetting and honestly made me so mad that they were so accusatory before even hearing what we had to say. We have no bad history with this restaurant, and like I said, I order very frequently. So to have the staff be that rude and demeaning was very upsetting. I can't say enough positive things about my experience! The place was warm and clean with a few of tables and a sushi bar. The chefs and waiter were super friendly, the food was so fresh, the prices were reasonable and they even had free rolls if you spent a certain amount. Really nice sushi bar that's brand new to the neighborhood. It's really clean and lots to choose from on the menu. The staff is really nice with asian accents I don't like getting sushi from anyone who doesn't have an accent. No accent means the sushi is gonna suck. IJS. There are also a few places to sit if you want to eat in, and of course the proverbial sushi bar. They also have brown rice!!!! Overall, the restaurant itself was clean, the staff was nice, and the presentation was good. However, we were very unimpressed with the taste and quality of the food. 1. Spicy Seafood Udon Soup: I got the spicy seafood udon soup and it honestly tasted like the broth was simply kimchi sauce mixed with water. There were only 2 small boiled shrimps (slightly overcooked) and no shrimp tempura (even though the description said that shrimp tempura would be included in the soup). Also, there was barely any seafood pieces altogether in the soup (maybe 3 little pieces of imitation crab and 3 pieces of fishcake). The poached egg was also hardboiled (however, that could have been since I ordered takeout and it was sitting in hot broth for 8 minutes but still...). 2. Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura: There were 7 or 8 pieces of tempura; however, only 2 were shrimp and the others were assorted veggies (never had mushroom tempura...). We thought it would be a 50/50 split between shrimp and veggies, but were really let down. 3. Chicken Teriyaki Combo: The chicken was very dry and a little overcooked. The teriyaki sauce wasn't amazing either; it was too strong and kind of tasted like soy sauce. The broccoli was also soggy. Unfortunately, the main foods that we ordered were a let down, especially when you're expecting authentic Japanese food from a new and up & coming restaurant. Luckily, the miso soup and (free) crab rangoons were great! However, our meal costed $35 and was definitely overpriced for the quality of food. This restaurant probably has great sushi, but we did find it via Yelp when we were searching specifically for "chicken teriyaki." It was quite misleading with the high 4 star review and we most likely will not return. read more

The wife loved the Red Sox sushi, I enjoyed the super volcano. We do order these 2 often and are never disappointed after we finished them. Recently I ordered this place to deliver on Eat24. They said they would be here in 40-60min. They came 2 hours later! The food was horrible. Beyond edible. The sushi was soggy but the taste was fine. It was the flavor of the udon that was just not good. Something I could've made myself with soy sauce. They didn't even bother putting salt on the edimame. Because we use Yelp's Eat24 we got a free order of crab Rangoon's, thus deleting our order we added. When we opened the rangoon box there were only 3 of them! We were so mad! However the crab Rangoon's were so terrible it did not matter that there were only 3. The miso soup lacked texture; there was about 2 pieces of tofu and 2 pieces of seaweed. Grubhub order arrived 1.5 hours after I placed the order. ETA was ~45 mins. We had their spicy tuna maki, crazy maki, Red Sox maki, and a side of salad. The Red Sox roll was actually smaller than the other two which was a disappointing since the specialty roll is double the price. The ginger dressing on the salad was a bit too salty. Overall, the food wasn't bad but with so many sushi places in the area, I don't know if I will be a regular here. read more
