Miyagi is the perfect finisher for any mountain day. We usually call ahead and pick up on our way home. The prep time is typically 30-45 min but goes up on busy nights and if it cools too much we just heat the broth a bit when we get home. The spicy ramen has all the right flavors. From a heat standpoint, you definitely feel the heat but I'd say if you like spice it's the perfect amount, if you don't like spice I'd stick with adding your own heat to the basic ramen. read more

The better half took me here today and I'm really surprised....REALLY! I asked for the spicy miso with chicken and added two soft boiled eggs and scallions. My first bite was....WOW. Okay so I've had some good ramen, the best being in NYC and SF but for Bend Oregon, and I say that with a soft heart being a native Oregonian, this place is solid. Preface: We lived in the Bay Area for 19 years prior to here. With that said, the spicy miso ramen is legit! I order 3x spicy. It's a nice hearty ramen and stands up to many shops in the Asian parts of the South Bay. I didn't realize you had to order the soft boiled egg as an extra. No biggie. This place is a gem in Bend Oregon for providing such good ramen. I've been to Japan and the ramen here rivals to what I had overseas. I've visited on two separate skis trips during this year and each time this place did not disappoint. The smoked shiitake-cashew is an interesting take on traditional ramen and recommend this versus their other offerings. I don't usually lean towards spicy stuff but this has such a great flavor I love it and it's not too hot. Service is decent, staff is usually very friendly. The ramen is very good, but a bonus is for those of us who want something lighter - there are a variety of options! I really wanted to like this place because I love some good ramen and this seems to be a really neat spot. Having driven past many times, we were looking forward to some delicious HOT ramen to slurp up on a chilly day. We had to order takeout because of COVID restrictions, so that could be part of why we were a bit disappointed. I live about 10 minutes away from the restaurant. I got the spicy miso ramen with an added soft egg... The noodles were in a giant undercooked lump in the bottom of the bowl by the time I got home. When I poured the cold (but very flavorful) broth over the top, they stayed that way. Maybe we'll try again once we can actually sit inside, but I won't get takeout from here again. Perhaps Miyagi can cook the noodles a little bit more and serve the broth in a container that is microwave safe (foil lined bowls?) for their takeout orders. read more

Their pork belly buns are the best thing they have in our opinion and we always get a couple orders of them. Cute little restaurant as well and the service is always great. We picked Miyagi over other spots 'cause we knew we got 1 free ramen reward. Surprisingly, we couldn't. I gave the cashier my rewarded card and asked if I could redeem my points. He handed the card to the black guy (his trainer) and asked what he should do next. The black guy took and punched twice on the card. I thought he'd like discard the card after a redemption. But no, he returned the card and told me to get a free ramen next time. I didn't know what just happened. I even doubted myself if I had already collected 10 scores??? Since I did see he punch twice, and there were only 10 holes. It's weird. But now, connecting all details, I know for sure he cheated on us.. I didn't wear prescribed glasses but I swear to God that I saw him punching in the middle of the card. It means he punched again on my holes P/S: food is good but never come back again. When we decided to sit inside because there were few people eating inside, we waited another 45 mins to get our take out order.
