Let me start off by saying that I have ordered from this place at 2 different times. Both times the food was not pleasing visually and in no way reflected how Chinese food should taste. Panda Express is better and that's not saying much. I'd give it two thumbs down. I ordered several items off of their menu: Won Ton soup, Shrimp w/Lobster sauce, House Special Fried Rice, Beef with Broccoli. All of those food entrees items were made to order. The restaurant is filthy both in the dining area and in the kitchen. The portions were adequate in size but, in this case size is meaningless if the food isn't satisfactory to your taste buds. My suggestion would be to find another Asian restaurant in Bend OR that has more palatable Chinese food (Chan's) and practices better sanitary housekeeping. read more

Look, this is not the best Chinese food I've had, but it's pretty good for the price. It's exactly what you would expect - a little too much breading on the chicken and it's absolutely swimming in sauce, but at $12 for an absolutely stuffed to-go container of food and a drink, this might be the best deal in Bend for lunch! I chose the #7 combo and swapped out the Kung Pao chicken for Orange chicken. In fact, they let you switch any component of any of the combos! We did door dash for the first time on this order. The food was great and man there was a lot of it. The reason only 4 stars? We are staying in a motel and the food came with no plastic forks or knives or no paper plates. I haven't eaten with my hands since I was in diapers. How about tossing some in? And how about some soy sauce? Guess the thing I'm not sure about door dash is there somewhere on it where I can ask the restaurants for plastic wear and maybe a paper plate? At first glance you'll almost miss it, it's located within the plaza. Parking is outside anywhere there. While there were chairs all off to the side bc of Covid, it was still good. They have their front menu with all the combos. Each is about $8.99 with +$1 for shrimp. And the drinks are a bit pricey for a large. But it was worth it. The food was very delicious and you can taste the freshness to it. Very hot and good! There's also two TVs on the sides to enjoy while feasting. We were a total of 6 and it cost us about $45. Service was good. Food definitely catered to the bland palate. How can beef and broccoli, mushroom chicken be so bland. Fried rice was just soy sauce in it , and the crab Rangoon might as well as be called cream cheese Rangoon. Just cream cheese - there was literally one fleck of orange. Was that the crab? This was the worst Chinese (??) food I've ever had. $13.50 for garlic shrimp that after two bites went in the garbage disposal.

The layout is a bit odd but the food is fresh hot and good, I LOVE the shrimp subgum.

What a scheist!! Heard good things but quite the opposite. Craving Pork Fried Rice and some warm creamy crab won tons. Not a single piece or flavor of crab one bit only cream cheese fried bummer. Pork fried rice was rice with soy sauce in it and some questionable chunks of gray translucent certainly not fresh Pork. Not a single green onion carrot egg or peanut to be found. Extremely disappointed and waste of my money. Went home and made 20 times better rice. Never again, just sad!! read more

2020- with the current Covid restrictions they have moved to all cook to order food. So much better than before! Great prices and huge servings. The people working there are very nice too! Good Chinese food in Bend is tough to find but this place is worth a try. The Mongolian beef was super tasty! We asked for the Kung pao chicken to be extra spicy and did not disappoint. I was expecting mediocre Chinese Food - but what we had (fried rice, shrimp chow mein, and sweet and sour chicken) all tasted fresh, the chow mein had a really generous amount of zucchini, nothing tasted like MSG or overly salted. The biggest surprise - the shrimp was not overcooked or dry! The portions were HUGE, too, they had the takeout containers piled over and tied up in bags because they wouldn't close. I have to say dinning in this restaurant with what's going on with the pandemic right now is not set up properly for a dining Experience.The atmosphere is unflattering.I believe they work mostly on their takeouts which , I have purchased multiple times. Their food is very flavorful always prepared and given very hot when you're ready to pick it up. The portions are very generous much more than any other restaurant I've gone to for Chinese food. The cooks and workers there are very delightful and very fast in preparing the food. Again , I recommend this place for the food not for the decor . Another reason I really like this place is because when you put your order in and you go home you find exactly what you order. It's so frustrating when people leave things out on takeout orders. We get food to go here about once a month. We get the three choice item meals. Noodle or rice then two sides it also comes with choice of soup -even to go. Portions are big I take the rest for lunch the next day. Very tasty- I usually get one of the spicy options and bbq spare ribs if they got them. We have never spent more then 20$ here and it's super quick you walk in pick your food pay and your out. Our foods still hot when we get to home in Powell butte. I work at a local health clinic and from time to time we have catered lunches from drug company reps... some times they cancel... today was one of those days and several of us had not brought food from home thinking food would be available. I love, nay, I adore Thai food but Chinese food has never been high on my list of go-to Asian cuisine... Too many La Choy nightmares from childhood. I'm not a fan of the highly sauced variety of Asian food that characterizes Chinese food in the States. That being said I was super impressed with what China Doll brought us. We got two orders of fried rice, pork and shrimp mixed. Plain white rice, Green beans in a black bean garlic sauce, Sesame Chicken and Mongolian Beef. I took a sampling of everything and I can attest there was nothing on my plate that I would not have gone back and gotten seconds for... Oh boy. We decided to be adventurous with this one. I love a good/bad American Chinese food meal. This place is dirt cheap, so it has that going for it over Panda Express, but not much else. The food is all laid out in a warming tray for you to pick what you want - not made to order. Some was decent, some was bland as all get-out (I don't recommend the sweet-and-sour chicken). The bloke had more luck with the bbq pork and one of the spicy dishes. They forgot part of our order, even though we were the only customers there and it was a standard order. On the bright side, everything seemed hot and relatively fresh. I will not go again, the bloke probably would. I would have loved this place as a broke college kid. read more
