In my entire life I have never had better General Tso's chicken!!! Stopped in last week on a road trip thru town and figured we would just get something to eat and hit the road. While that started as the plan, after eating here, my dad and I are still dreaming of and talking about how amazing this place was. The potstickers were the size of a small burrito and clearly more well crafted than any others we have ever had. The General Tso's chicken stands alone on the peak of perfection. The staff could not be more friendly and welcoming! We felt right at home here. Anytime we head to the Madras area, this is now a mandatory stop on the trip. Until then, I will see you in my nightly dreams General Tso! I miss you more than you will ever know.

    Empty lunch hour

Shoulda kept driving. Pulled up and was utterly unimpressed. Prime lunch hour... empty lot. Uninviting. However some local goat-humper said it was good on Yelp. I was game. Ordered the classic General Tsao's and iced tea. The tea in a plastic cup was barely yellow and had to add sugar to ice water.. we know how that works. $4 for that. The Tsao's came with half a head of steamed, bare broccoli. The Tsao's was hot and tender. That's the ONLY good thing about it. When the Cheshire Cat waitress asked how it was, I explained that the copious sugar was not dissolved in the General's sauce and I could feel the grains as I ate. She proceeded to argue with me that sugar is not good for you and that the flavor of the sauce is very good. What? "You are the first to complain" she said. No kiddin? Because 1. Every batch is different. 2. 1 out of a hundred customers will tell you how they really feel. I'm pretty's sure I was their 100th customer... this year. I do NOT recommend! I still tipped the smarmy know it-all argumentative waitress 18% just to prove her wrong. She was sure I'd stiff her. The fortune cookie was as empty as the restaurant.

Went here on a suggestion from the budget inn attendant. Glad we did, great service received from Annie. Food portions were good size, very flavorful. I got the mother's chicken, not crispy but a little sweet, with just a hint of spice. Kinda like orange chicken. Boyfriend got a combo that included: sweet and sour chicken and fried shrimp. His son got chicken lo me in and is daughter vegetable lo me in. Would recommend going here!

Hot and sour, egg drop half and half soup. Theeee best!

Lo mein dishes are good. They are very willing to modify dishes, just ask. Seems most of their customers order food to go.

There are lots of items from which to choose that are from all sorts of Asian cuisine. I chose the chicken tempura with french fries!! Not my best moment, but it sounded unique. My mother chose some sort of rice and seafood dish. Portions are large, my mother couldn't even finish hers. The chicken in the tempura was dry and stringy. Every 4th one was edible. Couldn't tell if it was breast or thigh, but the chicken pieces were so small they got overcooked. The plum sauce didn't really go with the chicken. Fries were surprisingly ok. My mother liked her dish. I was happy they had a little alcove off near the entrance because both of the other parties there were hacking up a lung. I felt nervous like I had during COVID when people were spreading their germs around willy-nilly. I probably wouldn't come here again, if I did it would be to try one of their other dishes.

In looking at the menu I ordered Hunan Chicken as I enjoy the Black Bean sauce, fresh ginger, garlic and vegetables (Hunan, Sichuan are provinces with unique culinary attributes). What was brought to me was battered chicken nuggets in Sweet & Sour Sauce. I was positive there had been a mistake and reminded the mid 20s waiter that I had ordered Hunan Chicken, he replied, "this is how we make Hunan Chicken here." I patiently explained what Hunan preparation was, that EVERY Chinese restaurant I had been to previously served it with authenticity and told him that if I ordered Lasagna, you brought me Spaghetti instead, you could not say, "this is how we serve Lasagna here." I then used my phone to show him the definition of Hunan Chicken and accompanying photos. The poor waiter replied, "you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet." Words can not adequately express that this is not a restaurant for those that want real Chinese food or even quality pseudo Chinese food!

The food absorbed the frozen aroma or are in the freezer too long. The potstickers and crab pots are not fresh. It all tastes like it's premade and out of a box, yet that's insulting to Trader Joe's frozen Asian food packages because I buy those often and those are 100% better than this. We wanted to support local but after tasting food like this, we won't be going back. The pictures are deceiving. It looked delicious and how disappointing it was. Their whiskey sours are more like a lemonade with a splash of whiskey.
