    Pork steamed bun
    Michelle S.

Good Ramen spot in the Industrial Mill neighborhood of Bend right across from the Springhill Suites. The staff are friendly and they offer indoor and outdoor seating. Music is a litttle loud if you sit indoors but the tables are clean. I got the pork belly bun which was tasty except my piece of pork, while generously thick sliced, was more belly than pork. I did not enjoy the 75% fattiness of the meat but the toppings made it tolerable. Tonkstsu Ramen was very good. I asked got 1/2 noodle to cut the carb and added an extra soft egg for more protein and bok choy to add some greens. Good ratios of bamboo shoots, corn and pork. I would eat here again but will skip the pork belly bun.

While this restaurant is decorated nicely, we didn't have the best experience. The chicken karaage was served to us barely warm and we had to get it reheated. The tonkatsu ramen was not very flavorful. Everything was very one note and just not a great ramen.

We came here after a series of hot/cold plunges and it was the perfect lunch to warm us up. My favorite was the spicy miso with extra corn and bok choy. This place gets busy on a cold day but you can usually find a table. It's a nice area to walk around too if you want to go into the nearby game store, bars, or shops. We'll be back!

    Miyagi-Don Rice Bowl w karaage & spicy mayo - Miyagi Ramen - Bend Oregon - 7/10/2025

This is a combined review based on several visits to Miyagi Ramen in Bend, Oregon. My most recent visit was on Friday, July 10, 2025. Each visit has been consistently enjoyable, always during a weekday lunch and typically with one other person. The space is open and airy, with the option for outdoor seating. The restaurant is clean, well maintained, and the staff has always been friendly, professional, and polite. It's usually easy to get a seat. On occasion, it can get busy, but I've never had trouble finding a comfortable place to sit with just a little flexibility. The ordering system is straightforward. You place your order at the counter, take a number, and your food is brought to the table. There's a convenient water station with small metal pitchers, cups, utensils, hot sauce, soy sauce, and more. Fountain drinks are available for self-serve as well. Food consistently arrives promptly and is freshly prepared from quality ingredients. I almost always get the Spicy Miso Ramen, which has a satisfying kick without being overwhelming. It's flavorful and reliably good. Today I tried something new: the Miyagi Don rice bowl with chicken karaage and spicy mayo. It delivered exactly what I was hoping for. The chicken was ultra-crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of flavor. This is a go-to spot for a quick, delicious lunch in a comfortable setting with great service. My only minor complaint (not the case today) is that the music at lunch can sometimes be overly loud. Since lunch is often a time for conversation, I've never quite understood that choice. Still, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Miyagi Ramen to others.

    Pork Steam Buns (2)

Mmmm, the right comfort food for tired doggy. Great little space that makes it easy to enjoy some good ramen and steam buns. For one exhausted traveler who couldn't dream of a loud place or having to politely sit thru table service, Miyagi Ramen was the right place and right time and right across the street from the Spring Hill Suites (note: a new, nice amenities and great value for money hotel in a town that needs a place like this). The buns were a better surprise than the Tonkotsu, the latter of which was what I ordered. Standard fare with what you'd expect ingredient and taste-wise. The buns are big, and a great app to share (I shared the second one with my feelings). Come around and enjoy this great little place.

Our lunch adventures brought us to Miyagi Ramen. It doesn't get good reviews on service which we unfortunately found to be true. The lady who took our order and the person who dropped off our food was the only staff interaction we had at an otherwise empty restaurant. I got up to ask about water and was ignored by everyone. I finally decided to grab a cup on top of the drink machine and helped myself. Let's talk food. I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen and my wife got the Spicy Miso. The presentation was nice but the broth wasn't hot. In fact, it was a click shy of lukewarm. The pork belly chunks were a bit overcooked but still good. Overall, it was a decent bowl of ramen. The broth was rich in taste and was good with every bite. I just don't think the service warrants a return trip. Itadakimasu!

This place was really good. I had ordered the Tonkatsu ramen. A small kick but very tasty. The chashu pork was crispy not soft. Something different and I think that is one creative idea to stand out

Miyagi is a great little shop for anyone who wants Ramen, while maybe wanting a little more of Japanese fare. Service is prompt and quick, but they won't exactly wait on you hand and foot, but they let you know what to do with your bowls/sticks when done eating (which is a huge plus considering almost every restaurant these days does a mix of *fast-casual* and you guess if you need to bus your own or not). The ambiance gives me the vibe of being in a corner shop to get quick food and go, it will be slightly messy but taste phenomenal and quickly come out. This spot also has very friendly staff.

    Sad kids ramen

Just paid $17 for the saddest kids ramen. Wouldn't even let us add veggies. Door dash took 2 hours when the estimated time was 50 min. Everything showed up cold and the noodles were barely cooked.

DEMOLISHED. 10/10 I really enjoy the tonkotsu ramen. Came out fast, good service, nice music.

Very tasty ramen! I love the location on the edge of box factory. Great walking area if you want to go to other spots for a drinks. The music was quite loud but still able to have a conversation. Vegan ramen was very tasty and good portions. Definitely check out if you enjoy ramen.

    Marvelous Tonkotsu

Miyagi is our main lunch go to in Bend, they deliver consistent quality and service and we like the small footprint. Our favorite dish is Tonkotsu, if you haven't experienced Miyagi make it your next stop!

The ramen wasn't the best I ever had but very good. Went on a cold rainy day so it was exactly what I needed. Seemed like a fun place.

Tried the ramen here once. It was barely medium. Won't go back because there was a dog sitting at the table next to us enjoying its food.

Bop Culture runs as a ghost kitchen out of the esteemed 5 Fusion location. Their menu is playful and fun, with some real surprises buried within. We had three things for our first order: #2, #4, and #14. We loved all three but should have ordered #13 instead of #14, which, on its own without the fried chicken, was a light and refreshing coleslaw-like complement to the two bowls. Complex flavors, delightful mix of pickled, savory, and fermented notes. I especially liked the bulgogi! The included house Bop Sauce was so good that we will be ordering a separate 16 oz container for use in our own cooking later! If you like the flavors and Asian-fusion style offered by Spork, you'll likely enjoy Bop Culture's offerings. I'm a huge Spork fan, and interestingly, my wife liked Bop Culture more than Spork. Recommended! Spread the word on this little ambitious startup!

Bi-bim-bops mostly but also some other goodies such as Korean spiced tots and a Korean corn dog. First impressions: when the menu says spicy, the food will be. Not blisteringly so but for those with a low tolerance, take heed. Five dishes ordered and promptly delivered by Door Dash - all good. - Tots: very nice, comes with two dipping sauces, both tasty. - Vegan chicken bi-bim-bop (#3): I've never had fake chicken until now and it works about as well as fake beef (Beyond, Impossible). Which is to say, quite passable. Beyond the fake chicken, the dish itself is very good. Bop sauce (in a separate tub) is tasty if a touch sweet. - Chinese cabbage salad: Excellent. I could eat this all day. - Bop dog: a Korean-inspired corn dog. The epitome of fusion, I guess. Pretty good with a nice panko coating. If you like corn dogs, you'll probably like it. - Beef bi-bim-bop (#1): Excellent. Well seasoned beef with very well done veggies and soft-boiled egg, including kim chi. Overall, I'd say Bop Culture has hit it out of the park in a town somewhat lacking in Asian-inspired cuisine (although it's getting better). Highly recommended.
