Erica did an outstanding job color correcting my hair. I have salt and pepper/cool tone on top, and brassy/blonde midshaft through the ends. She delivered in blending the two extremes and toning to perfection, especially when considering the extremes I arrived with. She set me up to continue allowing my white/grey to grow in naturally as well, as requested. I will certainly be seeing her again for toning and color touch-up as my hair grows in, as well cuts. I have been going to Laelan for about a year & a half and I can't say enough great things. I've had my share of hair struggles, especially after having my son 6 years ago, and some bouts of stress induced hair loss. Laelan immediately figured out a hair health plan so that I would be able to have vivid/vibrant colors, but also helping my hair growth and health become stronger. I've been dying my hair for over 20 years and Laelan goes unmatched. Laelan takes the time to explain and talk through the processes and it's never ever rushed. Thank god for Yelp because Idk if I would've found Kendra without it! Now, after 2.5 years of searching, I think I've finally found my hair girl in Denver! She took the time to educate me about why my roots look the way they do when they grow out #flatheadproblems, asked me to show her multiple photos of the hairstyle I was going for vs just my one so she really understood what I wanted, and she's just an awesome person! It's clear that she's passionate about her about her work and she won't let you out of the chair until she's hit 100% perfection (which is what I LOVE about her). After lots and lots of research and reading reviews on each salon, Miya salon won me over. No only do they have such amazing reviews but they also handled anything less than a 5 star review with a 5 star approach. I got to know the owners of the cute little salon that sits in such a perfect location on Tennyson. 1st impression: I set up a consult appointment to go over exactly what I was looking to do with my hair and what I was wanting to avoid. I got great confirmations and reminders for my upcoming consult. I met with Emily (owner) she and I sat down and had a great chat about all the ideas I had and photos I had saved. She even walked me through some things I didn't know and showed me what we would be working with and towards when coloring my hair. 1st appointment: I came in very excited and ready for a fresh look. Emily was so friendly and went over again everything that we had discussed I was hoping to achieve in my new look. She was patient and very thorough while working on my hair. End result: My cut turned out just how it looked in the photo I had shown her. My color was nearly perfect it just didn't take in some areas which can be normal and Emily instantly recognized it and went over it with more toner. She took extra time from her busy schedule and didn't make me feel rushed at all. Once the second round of toner was done, we achieved what I was looking for. She even let me know that if for some reason I'm not completely satisfied after a couple days and don't feel like it's where I want it to be that I could contact her. She was very caring and made sure I had a 5 star experience. Everyone at the salon was very friendly and the inside is so cute and clean. They have a bunch of wonderful products that are great at preserving your hair color as well as maintaining healthy hair. Try one of their many hair masks! I highly recommend not only for the smell but the feel of your hair afterwards. All and all I have to say my experience was absolutely wonderful. An amazing group of people here at this salon with lots of hair knowledge and they actually listen to what you want. I left booking my next two future appointments. I was cautious about going to a salon as I tend to be more of a basic gal when it comes to my hair and personal style. I dislike that some salons feel so pretentious and stylists can come off as "better than you". Miya salon was AWESOME! I had called before they opened to ask if they had last minute cancellations for that day and they were able to fit me in for a much needed haircut. They placed me with Nicole and she was wonderful! She actually spent time with me for a good 20 min, just asking me questions about my hair, lifestyle etc so she could get an idea of the cut I wanted and needed. I've never had that much time spent. Ever. She was so approachable and took great care of me and I LOVED my cut! She showed me how to style it and discussed the benefits of some light color without pressuring me or making me feel bad about my basic style. When I met with Tonda, I told her about what I wanted, showed her some pictures, and let her know about my hair coloring experiences. Which included recently dying my own hair with box color. She walked me through her thoughts, ideas, and concerns about dying my hair. She kindly explained that it might not be the best time due to the fact that I had just done a box color myself. She also educated me about what the maintenance would be like for that particular color with my natural hair color. We then decided to do a reset on my hair with a clean cut and a deep condition. The salon is clean, comfortable, and feels very safe in this time of Covid. All of the staff were also very warm and friendly! I was not totally happy with my service (it was not something they specialized in), even though my stylist was incredibly kind and welcoming, and did really seem to know her stuff. (The color job was beautiful!) Sometimes these things happen! The salon did everything in their power to make up for my disappointment, which I really appreciated, and shows how much they care about their clients. I've had so many bad experiences (costly ones, feeling uncomfortable in the salon, cuts that were subpar) but my daughter was getting married and I wanted to look and feel great! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted warmly and checked-in immediately. Laelan asked what I was envisioning. She actually listened and took my requests seriously. So...my hair is pretty damaged and boxed colored. She expressed to me her concerns and offered solutions. We came up with a plan and she went to work. These chairs at the rinse station are AMAZING! They fully recline - I'm short - normally my feet go to sleep from hanging! Not only did they not fall asleep, my back got a nice massage. I showed her some pictures and she was really great about communicating what she can do to make it happen. I'm really pleased with the cut/balayage. I have been coming to Miya for over a year and absolutely love this salon! Kendra is my stylist and I usually get a gloss or deep condition and cut and style. I love the look that I get with her each time, she listens to exactly what I am looking for and helps with recommendations. We discussed doing a pop of color next time so she can also handle color needs as well. As for the salon, the products they use are amazing. I've transitioned from brands like okaplex and bumble and bumble to the davines brand completely! The all in one milk is my fave! Also the owner Eric always offers free chapstick and comes around with little surprises like hand balm. My first visit there I was new to the neighborhood and he even gave me a print out recommendation list of his favorite spots in the area. The prices are great here and service is superb. I called the Salon about a week before I was getting married to get my hair cut/half updo + make-up. I was connected to Carly who confidently said we could do a trial run two days prior to the big day and, with an extra charge, she would even come up to Estes Park to do the hair and make-up again. She suggested that I bring some photos of what I might want and the collection I brought on my iPhone was really a mess of all sorts of styles and dos. Despite this, she was able to get my hair PERFECT for the day. I thought her rates were very reasonable and the overall look felt organic and clean, but done-up at the same time. She also agreed to add the flowers that I bought from the florist and, maybe I'm sounding redundant, but she made it perfect.
