The menu is very large and unless you already know what you want, it can cause a little anxiety if you are coming in for the first time. As a first time guests, my Hubby decided on the beetnik salad. He enjoys all of the ingredients in this salad and said that he totally loved it. I on the other hand, was a little anxious looking at all the selections and not really knowing what I was in the mood for. I always enjoy a spring mix salad with blue cheese and balsamic Vinaigrette, but wanted to try something different. I got the mandarin salad with crispy cauliflower instead of meat. I think they need to add it in as a last thing after mixing in the dressing because all the outside crispy part got soggy and tore off the cauliflower. The cauliflower had a light cumin flavor to it which I don't think paired well with the salad. Overall the salad was good though, pricy but huge. Great find by a work rep! When she brought us lunch on 07/06/2022, she told me Mixit is her new favorite restaurant. As soon as I tried the food in the picture below, I could easily see why. I had the tofu sandwich, Caesar salad, and cauliflower bites. Everything was flavorful without being overly heavy or greasy. The addition of radishes in the Caesar salad made it stand out as a more colorful version to the many I've had over the years. The sriracha dip that came with the cauliflower bites wasn't super spicy, which is great for someone who normally finds sriracha too spicy. Tofu was marinated perfectly and the baguette tasted as if it were fresh out of the oven. I'll have to pay them a visit in the future to try some of their salads and bowls! read more

I ordered a create my own that consisted of quinoa and arugula, protein (I chose cauliflower) and five toppings/veggies. I topped it off with hatch dressing and it was ready within no time. It's kind of like Chipotle where they make your order as you make your selections. I chose to dine in and was very surprised at the enormous bowl in front of me. I like that your order comes packed like they know you're not gona finish it, lol. Came here after they promoted the company at the Yelp Fit 2020 event at the Equinox Gym. The restaurant itself is very bright and is focused on salads, sandwiches, and farm-fresh items from sustainable, ethically sourced, local sources. That sentence probably gave you all the insight you needed to determine whether you are currently are in that mood and/or whether you'd want to make MIXT a regular lunch/brunch/dinner stop. Their food is quite good. It's very well portioned, and I haven't tried anything that I didn't dislike. Their flat-ironed steak went very well with the chimicurri sauce. Their sweet potato mash was very tasty (mouth is watering while I type). Their Brussel sprouts are good. Those stray leaves are always the best - crispy, caramel-ly deliciousness. I admit that it's a bit pricey for what it is. But you do leave full and feeling like you did your body good. Whether you are continuing your healthy sustained lifestyle of food-for your body nourishment, or to combat the late night taco bell and too many shots the day prior, I would argue that MIXT has something for everybody. I've been trying to check out all the restaurants in the Bishop Ranch shopping center. Mixt had a farm to table, organic filled, and salad bar atmosphere. The server who took our order was friendly. My boyfriend ordered the Royals which is the steak sandwich. I really liked the quality and tenderness of the steak chunks. It was paired with blue cheese, grilled pickled onions, arugula, tasty balsamic sauce, and aioli on a torpedo roll. I wasn't quite a fan of the torpedo roll and it was more because it was heated or grilled. I was expecting crunchy bread and unfortunately it was a plain, room temperature tasting bread. The sandwich came with a side salad of greens with a vinaigrette dressing. I felt the vinaigrette dressing was a bit strong and overpowering to the salad. I usually love sauce on everything, but I wasn't able to eat the dressing with the salad. My boyfriend's dish came out first, so I had to wait for my food. He ended up finishing his dish before mine came out. The server had mentioned it would be 15 minutes so I kinda expected it. I ordered the market plate with the herbed roasted chicken breast with sides of roasted brussels sprouts and parmesan cauliflower mash. The chicken was cooked very well with the right amount of heat and flavor. The Brussels sprouts were alright with the toppings of toasted hemp, sesame seeds, and savory herbs. My boyfriend seemed to enjoy the Brussels sprouts more though. The cauliflower mash had a nice consistency, but I wish it had more flavor to it. I chose the miso ginger glaze sauce, which I thought was also strong and overwhelming. I was only able to dip a small piece of chicken in the sauce since it overpowered my tastebuds. I was a bit disappointed because I was thinking it would go great with the chicken. It just left me wishing I had choose another sauce instead. Only thing is, they forgot to include the mango, which by looking at other reviews, it seems like this location has a habit of forgetting ingredients. I also opted for a BYO on another day and chose to add the crispy cauliflower...for an extra $3 you get a decent amount of HUGE cauliflower, perfectly coated. Well, I paid $17 for a Caesar with avocado and steak. It's a pretty bland salad overall if you check out the photo. I don't think it's a good value at all and you're better off ordering a protein plate or other kind of bowl here. The salad is mediocre and worth $5 at most. As for location, it's not ideal. It faces the sun during lunch which makes it hot and uncomfortable while eating, not to mention the sun is in your face. Overall, my experience is pretty lackluster here. It's $6 to add a couple cubes of steak to your salad. The prices are exorbitant for what you get. And the location isn't ideal. I prefer Mendocino farms next door. The service, however, was great. Let me preface by saying, I'm not a salad person. That said, I was wondering if there would be anything at MIXT that I would like. I'm so glad my husband and I decided to give this place a try. We stopped in for a late lunch today to see what MIXT menu has to offer. I was happy to see several options, from salads and sandwiches to bowls and full plated meals (protein and two sides). I opted for the plated meal of steelhead, mashed sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts with a miso ginger glaze. The fish was flavorful and well cooked. The sweet potatoes were fluffy, smooth and tasted like candy. I'm not a huge brussel sprouts person and never thought I could enjoy them without a lake of hot butter, but these much healthier sprouts were actually delicious. My husband got the Pacifica bowl, which has quinoa, cabbage, grilled chicken, mango, cotija cheese, toasted pumpkin seeds, cherry tomatoes, black beans, scallions, fresh herbs and cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette. I had a pleasant experience at MIXT. The inside is very clean and spotless, the employees are kind, and the ingredients fresh. My only regret is I made my own salad instead of getting one of their salads off the menu because I was so overwhelmed with choices, I did not know what to put in the salad. It also was kinda sad how you are only allowed 5 ingredients for the salad before you have to start paying money per ingredient so my salad felt very bare and light. The prices are also pretty steep for salad. Overall, I would give MIXT another try, but I need to be more prepared with my order before I come in. read more

The sweet potatoes were creamy and fresh. Very nice. I got a roasted chicken breast with chicken jus, a side salad, and cauliflower mash. The chicken was tender and moist, seasoned with herbs, classic flavors. Better than it looked, lol! Side salad was great. It was interesting, but not funky. The greens are different than the usual grocery store boxed mix, the golden beets were tender and tasty, loved the texture from the pepitas and fennel slices. It had a pretty balanced vinaigrette dressing. The other side was cauliflower mash with parmesan, which was tasty, but felt really salty. The bread seemed a bit like an after thought. It came in small bags and was a rustic, wheaty variety. Kinda dry when eaten by itself. I didn't see any olive oil or butter.
