    Combo Shawarma Plate

We came here on a weekday night for dinner and there were plenty of seats. The food came out quickly and everything was very clean. I've been to the other two locations in Pleasanton and Livermore plenty of times, which are larger and more busy but it was nice and cozy here. Food was slightly different, I missed the flavored rice I was used to at the other locations and the salad dressing tasted slightly different. The sauce and hummus also tasted slightly different although still good. I'm a big Sultan's Kebab fan!

I have been here before for dessert. First time trying the food here so I ordered a few items to go while I was waiting I was offered tea which is a nice touch. The place is clean and the staff was helpful when I asked a few questions. They had a variety of menus from desserts to dinner plates. The food was good. I loved the kebab and the chicken was really good and tender. My Favorite was the rice and the salad. Will definitely be back.

Amazing restaurant in the heart of Danville downtown! The chicken shawarma was excellent and must try ; the lamb shish kabobs were decent too. The humus and the soft bread and rice went great with this combo. We went with kids and they also enjoyed the rice and yogurt. We did not try their deserts but looked yum. Highly recommended!!

Decided to visit this location bc of the closer proximity than the Pleasanton location. Interior is dim with a brightly lit drink display & desserts display . Service is very casual & you are able to self service the water, lemon & hot tea(this was a nice option that I appreciate). We ordered 4 items & the best was the beef kebab. Orders: Combo Chicken & Lamb plate- smaller portion that the Pleasanton location, but consistent in taste. Instead of basmati turmeric rice, jasmine was served so it was a little disappointing. They also served it with a side vinaigrette salad. Beef Kebab plate- I really enjoyed this dish for the charred grilled flavor & the meat was nice & tender. A flavorful dish with 2 nice kebab's & again jasmine rice with a side of salad. Beef/Lamb Adana w.jasmine rice, side salad was spicy & had all the spices to make it an enjoyable meal. We also received 5 pieces of naan & I asked for 1 more to which they kindly added.

I literally just purchased a falafel salad about an hour ago (it is now ~7:45p.m). PAID $20 Visa. Drove home to Vallejo and opened container to discover ROTTEN SALAD. I called the restaurant, told them I took pictures and that salad was rotten. Whoever I spoke with had me repeat the word rotten about five times before I could get a response. He insisted the salad was fresh and it was the dressing and said "that's how our salads are". He wasn't interested in looking at pics but was abrupt to say "I can't help you" and hung up. So insulting and disappointing since the guy that rang me up was eating a huge mound of fresh salad outside when I went back in the restaurant to pick up my order ~ I was anticipating the same. He had on a pink hat and pink shirt so if he was the one who I talked to on the phone, shame on you. Some lettuce is orange/pink on edges and some has black slime. Check the pics. I have no reason to lie about this. Perhaps they will think twice before serving a customer ROTTEN salad for $20!!!!

This lamb kebab plate was absolutely delicious. The lamb was juicy, well-marinated, and grilled perfectly, with rich, smoky flavor in every bite. The plate was generous, balanced, and incredibly satisfying. I'll definitely be ordering this again.

Affordable, delicious, healthy and beautiful atmosphere all in one stop! I had a great experience at Sultan's Kebab when I stopped in for the first time after a hike. I was craving something healthy and delicious and found exactly what I was looking for here. I tried the falafel wrap and it was some of the best falafel I've ever had. I really enjoyed the large salad that came with it and the complementary tea! The restaurant is very comfortable and beautiful with paintings and hanging flowers. There was no wait to order and the food came out quickly. I'd highly recommend this restaurant for anyone!

This was SO GOOD. I've been to the other "sultan kebab" ***not related. Different business same name**near Camino Tassajara and the quality doesn't even compare this place even added avocado on top and two pita slices. I was so happy the shrimp had the tail and skin off & wasn't too spicy but was very seasoned. I also love that the salad has its own unique dressing that's not a lazy tiziki sauce or something you can't tell in the photo but under my shrimp they even put mushroom roasted tomatoes and squash! I mean wow. I will be back forsure. I love that you will have lots left over!

The food is all really tasty and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I was in a group and had a variety of dishes. I have to admit I do not know what I ate but it was all good.

Picked up take out from Sultan's Kebab a few times while passing through Danville recently. Located conveniently about a mile off the freeway exit, it's easy to get to. It's in the same strip mall as a FedEx and Dominos. My goto is their chicken kebab plate. It comes with 4 delicious and juicy chicken breast skewers, a side of hummus, rice, two pitas, and salad. A great deal for $18.99! You can also sub out the salad for more rice if you want. The rice is so flavorful and goes perfectly with the chicken. They'll also include a side of hot sauce and their white sauce which goes really well with the chicken or the pita. The fresh-made hummus has a perfect creamy consistency. The garlic fries are also great with a ton of garlic! Although these are probably better eaten fresh and in-store. I also love their falafels here. If you're looking for a jolt, try their Turkish coffee. Although it comes in a small cup, it's packed with caffeine and so powerful. The employees and the owner/manager are always so friendly and welcoming. My orders are usually ready by the time I get there and packed securely. The restaurant is clean with plenty of indoor dining tables. There's plenty of parking in this strip mall so no worries there.

Great choices of Turkish foods at reasonable prices. The combo shish kabobs were tasty and included salad, rice and hummus. Vegetarian combo plate was fun to eat with pita bread. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good looking counter of sweets

I appreciate they have a kiddo menu and also that they offer Haloumi Cheese as an option for their wraps/plates/bowls/sides. I ordered a Grilled Haloumi Cheese Bowl that was absolutely delicious. It came with a choice of arugula salad, tumeric rice, or 1/2 and 1/2. I chose the 1/2 and 1/2 ~ the bowl was accompanied also with fried eggplant, cucumbers, hummus, tahini sauce, and pomegranate molasses. My husband ordered a steak shawarma plate ~ the steak was cut perfectly for our kiddo to enjoy too! We also did a cold mezze side of hummus with pita. There is interior/exterior seating. Order at the register, food is delivered to you. The staff was incredibly accommodating on a busy weekend afternoon, and offered extra napkins/silverware/and ask for the hot sauce! Writing this, I can't believe we didn't try the falafel! But that leaves room for next time. Street parking can be found in front of restaurant and there is a lot in back of restaurant too. I would recommend patience when finding parking on Hartz Ave :) The food was very fresh, hearty portions, came hot and in great timing, fair pricing, and a nice array of meat/veg options. Intrigued to also check out their Oakland location too.

Review is for Doordash order:…read more Falafel Boy is a restaurant we seem to order on a weekly basis. The simple reason is that our 5yo son is an extremely picky eater, and for some reason he is a huge fan of the Kid's Chicken and Rice bowl. The rice is Turmeric rice, and completely yellow and seasoned. Chicken is boneless and seasoned but usually on the dry side. Doesn't matter / our son has been known to finish half to all of a bowl by himself for lunch. Recently we've been getting double orders to have a backup dinner option. As for the adults, I occasionally enjoy their lamb kabobs and Chicken Shawarma, while the wife is a fan of the Shrimp Kabobs. The combo plates are a complete meal since you get hummus, pita bread, and a small side salad. Definitely one of our go-to favorites for a quick lunch we know our son will enjoy.

I never expected to find such a stunning restaurant tucked into a shopping strip in the heart of San Ramon. One Hour Bistro is truly a delightfull find. The same attention to detail reflected in the decor is also evident in the quality of the ingredients and the incredible flavors of each dish. Crystal glasses in a Thai restaurant? YES! They also offer mocktails which I wish I had time to try and savor. I ordered the Kao Soi Braised Short Ribs, and it was absolutely stunning; beautifully presented, generously portioned, and deeply comforting. The rich broth, tender bone-in ribs, and flavorful noodles made every bite memorable. I couldn't even finish the entire dish because I wanted to savore it slowly. The Pad See Ew was a silky, heavenly treat. The rice noodles were succulent, the vegetables were fresh, and everything was coated in a rich, flavorful sauce. We came in on a weekday for the lunch special and I was excited to see it was still on the menu. I ordered the vegan beef koobideh and added a vegan chicken koobideh for $5. The lunch special comes with half rice, half salad, plus a drink. I chose the iced tea and it was really refreshing. For an appetizer, I had my must-have mast-o-musir (shallot yogurt). They also bring out butter and half a raw onion, which I always thought was random until I asked my Persian coworker how you're actually supposed to eat it. Turns out the butter is meant to be mixed into the warm rice so it melts, and the onion is used as a palate cleanser. You peel off a small piece and take a bite between eating your rice and protein. Once you know, it totally makes sense. Between the two koobidehs, the vegan beef was the clear winner. It was flavorful and honestly didn't taste like fake meat at all. The vegan chicken was good, but you can slightly taste that Impossible-style meat flavor. Next time, I'll definitely just get two beef koobidehs. Overall, I'm really glad I came back. After trying a bunch of other Persian spots, this is still my favorite, especially now that I can enjoy it while eating vegetarian. Highly recommend.

The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the lamb chops were soft, succulent, and didn't taste gamey at all. You can really taste the charcoal flame on the meats, which added so much depth without overpowering the dishes. The flavors were subtle and balanced, with hints of saffron throughout, especially in the rice. They also have a good selection of vegan options, which is nice to see. Next time I'm in the area, I'd love to come back and try their stews. Overall, a really good spot with great food. We all enjoyed our dinner here.

I enjoyed the two falafels because they were hot, very light and crispy. The dolmas were sour. Overall, I felt like I was eating a lot of baby food. It's difficult to take home dip so I just ate it all which is a lot of food. I enjoyed the chickpea salad. It was one of the three items that was not a dip. The dips went well with their pita. Favorite item on the menu is the chicken burger. Also like the skinny fries included as a side. The fries stay crisp even when eaten at home at room temp. Occasionally, indulge in the yummy chocolate mousse. Really rich and decadent. But lately the portion has gotten smaller. Don't mind too too much because it is that good. But once, got a cup of mousse that wasn't creamy at all but was 1 solid mass. When scooped, it crumbled. Cream could have been overwhipped. The end result, they made chocolate butter not mousse. It also had a slight "refrigerator" flavor like it was stored uncovered and it absorbed flavors from other food in the fridge or freezer. Only reason I didn't complain was I didn't want to drive back to the restaurant. But management should be careful and practice higher quality control. Issues like these will erode the good will of loyal customers if they persist. The other thing the restaurant has messed up is when I ordered the Sultan salad. This particular salad doesn't typically have lettuce. It has tomatoes, cucumbers, chickpeas, feta, and avocado. Once, staff gave me a lettuce salad instead. This has happened only once, again when I did takeout. Partially my bad since I should check the bag before leaving. Could also be a language barrier. That particular night, I was trying to be extra healthy and making special requests. The cashier must have been so confused and didn't know how to key my changes into the register. Next time, instead of trying to order a lettuce or protein wrap, I'll get the chicken burger as is and discard the bun at home. Or won't order smaller portions of different salads to try to make a "sampler" salad plate. S'OK tho, as long as it is some sort of salad, I can truthfully tell my doc I'm eating healthy. Just won't tell her about the occasional baklava, chocolate mousse, or pistachio kadayif. Lol

I will definitely make sure to visit again when I'm in town. -------------- If you want to read my story of how and why I tried this place, read more here: I walked by this place while my car was getting an oil change. They had a sign that said in big letters, "HUNGRY? We can fix that!" Like Winnie the Pooh, I checked in with my stomach and answered yes! I was famished. I had brought my lunch with me but left it in the car while it was getting the oil changed, so I had nothing to nibble on. It was kind of early, maybe 10 AM, and I didn't even think they would be open, but then I realized they did have the sign outside on the sidewalk. I walked by the front door and it opened automatically. My heart started to flutter. So I went to look at their menu online and saw that they had chicken shawarma bowls. I love chicken shawarma. I decided to look them up on Yelp and make sure they had good reviews. I realized that they were a sponsored ad, and that gave me pause. The last time I went to a Middle Eastern restaurant that was sponsored, it was not so great, so I quickly checked the reviews. They have pretty good reviews! One review said that the chicken was dry, but others were more positive. I had a really good feeling, so I ordered it. Another reviewer commented that the rice was so good -- and they're not normally a rice enthusiast -- so when I placed my order, I upgraded my rice from the white rice that comes with the order to the rice infused with turmeric and garbanzo beans. When I opened my order, the bowl was a pretty decent size. If my husband had been with me, we probably would've been able to split it. In my order, I saw: * Seasoned chicken drizzled with shawarma and a delicious white sauce. * Hummus * Tomato cucumber salad * And this yellow turmeric rice I couldn't resist -- the rice was the first thing I tasted, and it was delicious! I can't quite figure out what flavors are in there, but I could taste a hint of cinnamon, and there were definitely other flavors there. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The hummus could very easily be the best hummus I've ever had. I really enjoyed this meal. I really wanted to eat the entire bowl myself but decided to save half of it for my daughter, who I know will also love it. Customer service was excellent. Adam was at the counter and greeted me very warmly. And when I was leaving, they asked me if I wanted hot sauce and then they put that in the bag. Overall, I give this five stars. I love that the food comes in an eco-friendly container. If there's anything that I could change, it's probably that they put it in a plastic bag instead of a paper bag. I try to avoid plastic as much as possible, but the container was quite big and needed to be in a bag while I hiked back to the oil change place. Oh, and before I forget... one of the first things I asked before I ordered is if the shawarma plate was gluten-free, and he assured me that everything in it was unless I was getting pita. And one more fun note -- when I got back to the car place, someone walked in, saw my food, and immediately asked, "Oh, is that from Manakish?" I was pretty impressed they could recognize it just by the look, especially since the restaurant is about half a mile away. Oh...and when i gave it to my daughter...she loved it so it gets two thumbs up!!
