This was SO GOOD. I've been to the other "sultan kebab" ***not related. Different business same name**near Camino Tassajara and the quality doesn't even compare this place even added avocado on top and two pita slices. I was so happy the shrimp had the tail and skin off & wasn't too spicy but was very seasoned. I also love that the salad has its own unique dressing that's not a lazy tiziki sauce or something you can't tell in the photo but under my shrimp they even put mushroom roasted tomatoes and squash! Picked up take out from Sultan's Kebab a few times while passing through Danville recently. Located conveniently about a mile off the freeway exit, it's easy to get to. It's in the same strip mall as a FedEx and Dominos. My goto is their chicken kebab plate. It comes with 4 delicious and juicy chicken breast skewers, a side of hummus, rice, two pitas, and salad. A great deal for $18.99! You can also sub out the salad for more rice if you want. The rice is so flavorful and goes perfectly with the chicken. They'll also include a side of hot sauce and their white sauce which goes really well with the chicken or the pita. The fresh-made hummus has a perfect creamy consistency. The garlic fries are also great with a ton of garlic! Although these are probably better eaten fresh and in-store. I also love their falafels here. If you're looking for a jolt, try their Turkish coffee. Although it comes in a small cup, it's packed with caffeine and so powerful. The employees and the owner/manager are always so friendly and welcoming. My orders are usually ready by the time I get there and packed securely. I've been here 12 times and have fallen in love with the food each time. The rice is so good I want to take a bucket home. The bread is the softest and freshest pita I've ever eaten, and I'm Lebanese. The steak kabobs are my favorite... with the chicken and salmon close seconds.. and lamb... another close second.. The people here are super nice. I love the location. Super easy access and parking right up front. We usually get it to go, and go home and watch tv with enormous bags of food that last all night. You get full but you can't stop eating because it tastes so good!!! I read some of the whiners making comments, and pay them no attention!! I wasn't expecting a lot due to the location in a blah looking shopping strip. But WOW, the food was amazing! I had the chicken Kebob and it was so tasty. It came with a salad that was really really good. I literally just purchased a falafel salad about an hour ago (it is now ~7:45p.m). PAID $20 Visa. Drove home to Vallejo and opened container to discover ROTTEN SALAD. I called the restaurant, told them I took pictures and that salad was rotten. Whoever I spoke with had me repeat the word rotten about five times before I could get a response. He insisted the salad was fresh and it was the dressing and said "that's how our salads are". He wasn't interested in looking at pics but was abrupt to say "I can't help you" and hung up. So insulting and disappointing since the guy that rang me up was eating a huge mound of fresh salad outside when I went back in the restaurant to pick up my order ~ I was anticipating the same. He had on a pink hat and pink shirt so if he was the one who I talked to on the phone, shame on you. Some lettuce is orange/pink on edges and some has black slime. Check the pics. I've been here a couple times and the food is always really good. It's always made fresh to order and the portions are substantial. The staff is always so warm and welcoming when you walk in. This location has plenty of tables inside for small or large parties as well as outdoor seating. After you order your food from the counter you can sit and they will bring it to you with their yummy sauce ( I forgot to ask what it was). Also, I'd definitely recommend ordering the baklava. This review is for a To Go order. Today, I was allowed to expense lunch for work, and I wanted something quick, but also healthy. I went downtown to Sultan's and ordered the combo appetizer platter and lentils. The lentil soup needed to be heated up which takes eight minutes but that was totally fine because it's so delicious that it's totally worth it and eight minutes isn't really long since nobody was in line in front of me at this super early hour for lunch. While I was waiting inside, I appreciated how clean and organized everything inside the restaurant looked. I brought the food home and the hot falafels were perfectly cooked with a crisp outer layer and non-greasy inner layer. The veggie appetizers were fresh and flavorful. The dolmas are wrapped to nicely with a hint of lemon to make you appreciate the little details. As for the lentil soup, frequently, I make my own lentil soup at home. I'd have to say that Sultan's has the best lentil soup in town! It makes me so happy to eat each velvety spoonful! Also, customer service is pretty excellent. I have eaten here many times. This is my local go to the Mediterranean place. Baba Ghanoush (5 stars $5.99) They have the best I've had, I compare all others to theirs. Just get some! Combo Shawarma Plate (5 stars $17.99) Love the rice, when I'm eating rice. Sometimes I have to go easy on the carbs. The rice is loaded with butter, which make it amazing! Most times I get no rice and ask for extra salad, which is still good. They serve with a small cup of hummus, which is good (3 Stars), but I wish they offer baba ghanoush as an option or upgrade. Maybe I'll ask next time. The meat is cooked on a vertical rotisserie, so good. The chicken seems to be more moist than the lamb but both are great.
