We've been getting our foster dog's chemo meds for some time now. They have always arrived on time except for a couple of occasions when the vet didn't call it in. Mixlab sent them out immediately when informed. They always respond to inquiries right away. And, the meds are in different colored capsules which is more helpful than you might think. read more

I don't know how this place has positive reviews. They are as fabricated as every single promise this pharmacy has made to me. My chihuahua needs seizure medication. Not a supplement -- a critical medication that cannot be missed without serious consequences. For 5 months, this pharmacy has failed to reliably fill it even once. Here's what their "service" actually looks like: Told it's ready show up in person not ready Send a courier not ready Call them no answer. Ever. Text ignored Email silence Sign up for Automated Refill Delivery never filled, never arrived, apparently doesn't exist Five months of false notifications, broken promises, and zero accountability -- while I scramble to get life-critical medication for a small, vulnerable animal who depends on me. If your pet is on any medication they cannot miss, do not gamble with this place. Real pharmacies exist. Ones with staff who answer phones, fill prescriptions, and do what they say. My Vet prescribed a compounded eye solution for my dog from Mixlab. Mixlab is very easy to work with and service is really fast.

It was my second time getting bunny antibiotics shipped to me, prescribed by my vet in Scotts Valley CA. I didn't run into any problems the first time, which was about a month ago. But the order I placed last week was a whole different story and quite frustrating. I ordered the medication to be delivered on Friday. The day before, I got an email apologizing that there would be a delay, with updates to come. I got no update after that, so I contacted them two days later to understand what was going on. Apparently, for the current base they had available, the 60-day dosage prescribed by my vet would expire prior to 60 days, which was causing the delay as they were waiting for a new base. They offered to just send out a 50-day supply if I preferred and they could ship same day (an option they failed to communicate with me days earlier). I agreed, as this could be life-saving for my sick pet where every day counts especially for small animals. As it turned out, they never shipped it that day, nor did they update me until I reached out yet again after waiting another two days. I ended up getting the antibiotics a week after my original order was placed, exceeding the expected delivery date more than I'm comfortable with. For a place that prides itself on good communication and speedy shipping, they did a pretty bad job this time around. Such a disappointment. But the real victim here is my rabbit, because he's the one who suffered from all this. So, although I appreciate their transparency in situations like this, they seem to be inconsistent and unreliable based on my experience, hence the 2 stars. read more

My Experience is one of THE WORST supposedly there is a manager her name is BRENDA, since Feb 2026, she would call me back, but till now no call. The pet medication is ALWAYS LATE, and they are professional LIERS, their excuses that (they called but didn't get a response, where is that no calls shows on my cell) another lie, (the delivery wasn't complete, all the other deliveries to the building comes through, except theirs, the building doors always open, but it seems they want to drive through to the third floor) another lie (will call you back) but no one calls back. Mixlab is awesome! I honestly don't remember how I got hooked up to them.... I think maybe my vet was trying to save me money so she sent an RX to them and they texted me and it couldn't have been easier. They texted me to give them my address and card details and the prescription was dropped off in maybe two days. They also keep me aware of when it's refill time and if my vet needs to approve them. We have had our new puppy for three months now and started using mixlab because that is who our veterinarian outsources their prescriptions to. For both months now we have had terrible communication and our medicine has been on backorder for our dog. It is overdue and I asked them to figure something out and they told me that I would have to deal with our vet veterinarian to get a different type of prescription after waiting 10 days to hear back about our current prescription. This is after they charge my card which seems to be the only thing they do on time. We have just told our veterinarian that we are going to find another veterinarian who doesn't use mixlab to outsource the prescriptions because this has been so frustrating and the time that we have had to deal with it is unacceptable. No one likes having to give medicine to their pets but Mixlab takes most of the sting out of it! You can get a large variety of meds in all their favorite flavors (our cats like triple fish and tuna). Working with them is easy .... They are very responsive to your questions and needs and .... Believe it or not.... They always find a way to make me smile in the process. Medicating pets is stressful and you don't get a lot of appreciation back from your pets .... I called to get help on our cats prescription on the proper dosage and expiration date. They were very helpful. I assumed the medication would be good until we completed the bottle but that was not the case it does have a 2 month expiration date on the medication. The expiration date was on the bottle but I had not noticed it until my phone call with Mixlab. They were very kind and helpful. They are fast and let you know the delivery date. Sadly our medication doesn't offer the auto refilled. They enclosed a fun little toy for her which she gets excited over. read more

As you can maybe tell from my previous review, I've never been an unreserved fan of Mixlab. I used them for years because they were the only place I could get a common medication in an unusual dosage, and that convenience was worth the various customer service headaches. I've finally had enough, though. They're unresponsive and incompetent, and I am fucking done. For a business whose whole pitch is that they make your life easier, they sure did a good job making my life unnecessarily difficult. I can't even say how many times I had to call or text them because a prescription ran out and they didn't bother to tell me. Admittedly, I've been less on top of my dog's prescriptions than I should be, but that's why I authorized them to reach out to my vets and get prescriptions renewed on my behalf. Last month, I ran out of Benazepril, one of the two medications I was getting through Mixlab. I wasn't worried about it because I had a Mixlab package sitting unopened from a week earlier, and I figured it was the new bottle I needed. I was stunned to find that it was actually the Amlodopine, which I wouldn't need for another couple of weeks. (This is a smaller complaint, but the timing of these autorefills was also suspicious--we always had more than we needed, and I suspect Mixlab inflates its revenue by sending like 20% more pills per month than strictly prescribed.) I immediately texted to ask what became of the Benazepril and had to call hours later to get through to anyone. Turned out, they'd just reached out to our vet and were waiting to hear back, and they 100% blamed the vet for the delay, even though they had taken it upon themselves to reach out and take care of the prescription. It took another day for the prescription to go through, at which point my old dog with heart problems had missed two doses. I asked for same-day shipping and requested they waive the fee. Care to guess whether they agreed to refund me the $13.95? The Benazepril came that day, but Mixlab took no responsibility for their mistake, and made no attempt to make things right (I was honestly kind of astonished that they didn't spot me the shipping). I told them this would be our last order, and they could not have cared less. And as long as I'm complaining, I've never been a fan of the cheap little toys they send out with every order. I tried unsuccessfully for months to opt out of receiving them, but they were incapable of offering that level of customer service. I've switched to Chewy and regret all the years I wasted dealing with Mixlab. Good riddance to a regular source of stress. ETA: Thank you Frederic for the apology, but your response is (intentionally? I don't know your life) misleading. It appears you did refund the same-day shipping, not to make up for the lapse in your service (I know you were waiting on vet approval, but when you have taken on the responsibility of getting said approval, it is on you to get it in time) but over a month later, in response to this review. read more
