I want to start off by saying "THANK YOU" to the incredible staff and the amazing Dr. Lanuza for the incredible caring, support, warmth and saving my baby Kismet's eye. In September, his eye completely ruptured and when I say ruptured, fluid squited out of it. I took him to emergency and they referred me to eye doctors and gave me a list at VEG in Torrance. Kizzy had an eye doctor already and I called there to get him in but I also called Ocuvet in case Alhambra Eye center could not see him. I had a good feeling about Ocuvet and I was 100% right. Kismet seen the dr at Alhambra but the price was 12,000 for surgery. I was devasted. While there, Angie called and I spoke with her and I knew I had to pack Kizzy up and get him to Ocuvet asap. He was scheduled for the following week to see Dr. Lanuza and scheduled for surgery on September 23rd. Dr. Lanuza was so kind and took his time and any questions I had he answered without rushing. This means so much when you are dealing with an emotional moment. Especially since on this day, Sept 23rd, 2025 was the day I lost Kizzy's half brother Phoenix. So it was an explosion of emotions. No one there looked down on you because you were upset. All were so sweet.
Kismet had his eye surgery, a pedicle repair and here we are, October 17th, stitches are out of his eye lid. The internal sutures will dissolve on their own and the cost was literally not even half the cost of what Alhambra was. Kizzy and Phoenix were long time patients there but Ocuvet is NOW his and any of my other cats eye doctor should anything arise. I am forever grateful for saving Kizzy's eye and I highly recommend this place to anyone who is searching for the top care in Los Angeles. Thank you Dr. Lanuza, Angie, Desiree ad the rest of the team. read more
