We've been using Mixlab for years, and something has definitely changed for the worse. As you can see by the other recent one star reviews, we're not alone. Every time we text or call in a refill request, they send a payment link, then, after the payment is processed they send a text informing us that this medication is out of stock. I would expect them to say the medication is out of stock before I pay, especially when it's needed urgently. Their delivery estimates are also terrible. They give an initial estimate, then when that date is missed and we call to get an update they provide a new estimate which also gets missed. This is extremely frustrating when I depend on them to get my pet's necessary medication in a timely manner. Their service is too unreliable and I'll be switching pharmacies. To put the cherry on top, as other people have mentioned, the tops on their liquid medications leak. read more

I loved their cute, friendly packaging - but their prices are really high and I've had increasing issues with delivery. As much as my cats love the cute toys they send, I'll need to look elsewhere for more secure delivery and better prices. They use a few shipping and delivery companies like Deliver-It and OnTrac that are downright atrocious (I never got my med that time) and that causes stress. I've been told that the safest thing to do is pick up the meds at their business, but not everyone has a car or can get around town easily. Moreover, they seem to be changing their story on delivery issues. I had spoken to Mixlab several times about needing signature required delivery on my orders, and had received verbal and written confirmation of this. I've paid $15 for courier delivery for this reason, to make sure the meds get to me safely without being misdelivered or dumped somewhere. However, when they sent out my latest order it again was not signature confirmed. When I called Mixlab they said that it was never their policy to have signature confirmation for any meds that were not controlled substances. When their supervisor called me back she doubled down on this and even claimed "signature delivery was never discussed with you." Nope, sorry, I save my texts, give someone else that lie. I told the supervisor that if they are not doing signature required deliveries anymore, they should just tell people so they don't fork over $15 for couriers that will do nothing to keep the meds safe. Nor should they be so cavalier about this issue. Maybe the people who work at Mixlab have enough money to replace things that get misdelivered or stolen but the rest of us don't. I got more or less a "whatever" from their management on this feedback, so yeah, they apparently are not at all concerned about making sure your meds get to you safely or telling you the truth about what you pay for. read more

Do not use this company - They claim to prioritize your pet's health but the only thing they prioritize is $$. My pet's meds were delivered to the wrong address. These were desperately needed and I had to figure out how to get the meds delivered ASAP. Once I paid for my own courier and got the new meds delivered it was missing the special container needed to administer the meds and they once again told me I need to wait another day. For the type of service they provide, their customer service and support is non-existent. A business like this should be prepared for situations like this especially when they made the error, but all they did was put me off and when I tried calling I received a message saying they were closed although the website says they should be open for at least another hour. They are a pharmacy, they need to honor the hours posted. In the end, the package was not delivered like they promised and no one was there to help me and my sick cat had to wait another day. If you have a month to wait for your pet's medication, this is the pharmacy to visit! Mixlab used to offer fast, reliable service. But sadly this is no longer the case. I had an active prescription with plenty of refills. Mixlab falsely claimed there were no refills left and demanded that I submit a request for a new prescription via their website. This took a week to process and would have been longer if I didn't continually pester them. I've paid for my order and four days have passed with no updates. But they were nice enough to let me know -- after I paid -- to expect a five day delay once the shipper receives the package. (Pulls used to arrive in a day or two.) At this point, I'm wondering if I will ever receive my pet's medication. read more

Update: the response from Frederick is an outright lie!!!!!!! When I was placing the order, they told me they CAN overnight it. Then after my order was delayed, they told me they DO NOT offer overnight shipping!!!! They need to get organized because that third party service they use to process your text messages and phone calls has no idea what they're talking about half the time and will tell you incorrect information If you have a pet with a serious infection and need a prescription asap, don't use mixlabs! I've been using Mixlab for several years now and their service has dramatically declined to the point where I am completely ending my relationship with them permanently. They constantly give false information about R/x pickup dates/times. They have filled incorrect quantities and dosages. Their delivery service "deliver-it" is absolutely awful! Deliver-it has abandoned my prescriptions outside my building on the sidewalk on multiple occasions. I brought this issue up with Mixlab management and they even acknowledged that they're aware of the problem and have brought it up with upper-management, but nothing has been done to resolve the matter. This last time I needed a prescription urgently while out of town, they told me that once ready, they could overnight the medication. I called two days later to get a status update and they informed me that the prescription will be ready by end of day or tomorrow morning. I called the next day to get an update and they told me that the prescription would not be ready for a few more days and that once filled, it would take a few more days to ship it because they do not offer overnight delivery. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that there was no supervisor available. Luckily, I found a local compounding pharmacy and avoided missing a dose. Then, mixlabs has the nerve to send me an email which I've attached in this review. I hate this place so much! You have no idea the hell they've put me through. They screwed up order quantities simply because they DID NOT READ the email for the refill. They sent me a bill to pay with the wrong quantities! I had to correct them and this led to delays which was a problem. Staff told me they don't read instructions about the orders. That led to errors in their records and billing. The next time I requested a refill, THE SAME ERRORS happened again! It turns out that a REFILL to be delivered in the local area needs MORE THAN TWO WEEKS' NOTICE to allow time to correct their mistakes. My Mixlabs is in NYC. I'm sent a text telling me my dog's meds are ready to renew each month and so far everything has run smoothly. I text my questions and I usually receive a reply within an hour or two depending of what time they're sent. Had a problem with delivery in the beginning, but Mixlab's was on top of everything and delivery has been great. Did go in the City once to pick up meds and they were very helpful and nice. Our specialist vet recommended using Mixlab for medications our dog requires. I was hesitant at first but the delivery system and the frequent texts and updates sold me. We've since changed vets specialists but they've worked seamlessly with the new vet office, even when the prescription changed. I also price checked with my vet's office on the price vs. Mixlab and Mixlab was actually cheaper. So YES I'd recommend using them. read more

The BEST EVER!!!!! My Vizsla puppy fractured her spine in a freak accident. I am home bound taking care of her because she's not allowed to move. Please read all the way to the end Sat and waited all day for my cats cancer meds to be delivered. I took off from work and it is now 10 o clock at night. I have been calling these ppl all day to make sure it actually is delivered and NO ONE EVER CAME TO DELIVER. Wasted a whole day and my cat still doesnt have his cancer med. Unreliable and crappy service. I will do a chargeback with my credit card in the morning after the oncologist gives us the prednisolone my dying kitty needs. Update 2/13/2024 The delivery service Mixlab uses called RX2Go showed up in the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT (10:50 PM )to finally deliver the meds. It was almost MIDNIGHT when the guy called to say he didn't know which door to leave it at. The address was wrong on the box. What kind of delivery service delivers in the MIDDLE of the NIGHT???? Who does that???? We had given up and were already asleep in bed when the guy called to deliver. SMH. Mixlab needs to get some better delivery service providers, because this is unacceptable. I'm giving this a 2 star instead of a 1 star, because I do think MixLab themselves may be an ok pharmacy, still have to determine that for sure, but their delivery service definitely is dragging the MixLab brand image down. Update 21 Feb 2024 I am still grieving very badly over my baby boy passing on the 14th. This NOT anyones fault. But I wanted to make it known that MixLab has gone above and beyond to make things right and have been very compassionate to me in this very painful time. Its killing me to the core over and over every moment and I died with my baby. I am inconsolable. I love this cat more than I ever loved my own mother. And thats the percent truth. MixLab is a company that truly cares and I will be using them for all my pet med needs. If you experience any delivery issues, just know that the courier services that they are required to use are not reflective of MixLab. With regulated drugs a pharmacy only has so much control over how the meds are delivered and they often dont have control over the selection available. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Having a dog with cardiac health issues who needs to have special medications on the daily is tough, but Mixlab makes things as easy as possible. Extra points for always adding a cute toy to my dogs order!! One of my dog's prescriptions (the actual paper) needs to be physically delivered to the lab and the medication being a liquid suspension makes things that much harder to prepare, but these angels do everything in their power to make things as easy as possible for me. I complained and they said they no longer had the drug in the form I was receiving it and it would now be in capsule...what kind of justification is that? Such a ripoff. AND...I have been waiting for a week for them to refill the prescription. I have texted, emailed and called them and they keep telling me it's in the system and it will be going out soon and they will text me with a date. Today is Friday and they told me Monday I would receive it by today...no sign of it or text or email to verify that. This is so unacceptable. And, you admit you kept sending out deliveries when I expressly told you I was out of town...how does that make an ounce of sense????????????? ---------------- I ordered liquid painkiller for my pet. Turns out it needed a signature for delivery (something I wasn't told). After the first failed delivery attempt (again, wasn't told I needed to be there) I let them know I was out of town for Thanksgiving, so if they sent someone out again, it would be a totally wasted trip. So, what did they do? Sent the delivery out again. Twice. After I'd clearly let them know I was out of town. Then, because of the three failed delivery attempts, I was told the only way to get the medication was to drive across town and pick it up. (Yep, because of their ineptitude.) Terrible experience. They are extremely unorganized, and it caused a huge amount of unnecessary stress, for both me, and my pet, who had to endure weeks of pain because of the inability to get this prescription. I've used Mixlab over the course of almost 4 years, and it has been way more frustrating than it's worth. Their auto-refill system constantly underestimates when to prepare and ship the next order, which has repeatedly forced me to guess when to purchase refills, often leaving me to scramble with their customer support to get a new order filled and express-shipped to my location. Worse yet is that their fulfillment times have taken longer and longer to fill as the years go by --- case in point, I placed an order just this past Friday morning, and it took almost a week later for them to contact me back to say that they (mistakenly!) believe I've run out of refills. This time in particular I've just about had it, as these avoidable delays may now be impacting my cat's upcoming appointment, because their dysfunctional autorefill scheduler and sluggish fulfillment times have just about left me with no medication left now for my pet. If it really counts, and your pet needs medication on a continuous schedule, Mixlab's ineffective service could put your pet in danger. They confirmed the lower amount was a mistake and the higher one was correct, and offered a one time 20% discount. Either customer service didn't understand they were offering a higher cost option or thought I wouldn't.] DO A PRICE COMPARISON on your meds! The 2 stars here are for the good customer service and ease of ordering, but that is all. I used them for years due to this ease. But when the price of my ongoing cat meds went up, I did some price comparisons with other pharmacies and wow did I find how overpriced they were for the same meds I could get elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. They clearly mark up the rates knowing they give good customer service so will get returning customers, smart on their part. But who cares about a cat toy/cute box, I want my weekly meds economical. For example, their price started at $3 per pill, then went up to $5, I found the exact same dosage and now pay $1 per pill! Easy online ordering, mailed to me. That's a 5X higher cost, ridiculous. I have wasted so much $$ through them and wish I had been smart to price shop first. Vets/VCA will send you to them, but you don't have to use them. Do your research, there are other online pharmacies that are easy to order from that may likely be much more economical. read more
