LA Compounding Pharmacy is a lovely pharmacy adjacent to Cedars Sinai. They are on the corner of 3rd and Sherbourne. I have now been here twice for COVID testing and I've been very happy with them. It's very easy to sign up online on their website and book an appointment. The test was very quick and they were very gentle. Results are promised in 2 days but happily, I got my results that same day both by text and e-mail. Parking last time was easy as they have three parking spaces on the side of the building on Sherbourne. However, this time the parking spaces were taken when I got there and, although there is street parking, I could not find a spot. Luckily I wasn't the one driving so I got dropped off. A space did finally open up in their lot while I was there but just a heads up that parking can be difficult so come early to your appointment, get dropped off or take an Uber. read more

*LA Compounding Good Vibes* My regular compound pharmacy recently closed down so my Dr's assistant called all over town and found LA Compounding Pharmacy for me after contacting nearly 10 places on the Westside. They offered a very reasonable price quote to refill a monthly prescription that's unfortunately not covered by any insurance company. The first time I called LA Compound, I got through right away and spoke to Jasmine, who my Dr's office also spoke to and they electronically sent over my script. I have yet to step foot inside their store because Jasmine & Alvina are so awesome they shipped/mailed me my first prescription. On Monday Jasmine called me because it was refill time and I was very impressed because usually I'm the one who needs to contact a pharmacy for refills. Since I'm receiving 2 months of medication at a time, it slipped my mind to call them. But good ole Jasmine beat me to it and I already received my refill this afternoon delivered directly to my front door. I'd like to give them more of my future business but for some reason they don't accept my insurance...and I have pretty good insurance that nearly every pharmacy accepts. But I understand for whatever reason they made an in-house decision. If you are a Los Angeles resident, chance are you've had an unpleasant experience at a pharmacy, most likely on of the major chain ones. Low on stock, dismissive, long wait times - in truth, they are too overburdened and disorganized to see you as a human.
