I stopped here during a weekday, as the outside window Decor really caught my eye. It's near the AMC movie theater in the Mission Valley Mall. Very cute inside, with some Strawberry Shortcake theme decor. Unfortunately first impression with the service was not very good. The person seemed very unenthusiastic, didn't smile, or seem welcoming. It's possible we just went on and off day. Since we were there I did get some of the mini cupcakes to try. One was a Snickers chocolate cupcake and the other was a Strawberry Shortcake cupcake. They both tasted good, but nothing really spectacular that I would have to go back for. The Snickers one tasted basically like a regular chocolate cupcake with a miniature sneaker placed on top. The Strawberry Shortcake one had some type of strawberry crumble on top which was good. I would say that was my favorite of the two. If you come on Tuesday they are $2 for the cupcakes, so something to keep in mind. They have a variety of other desserts and even drinks as well. They have caramel apples, Sundays, different cakes, Etc. If you're already in the mall it might be worth the quick peek to see if anything appeals to you. The sweetest customer service with the cutest strawberry shortcake outfit. He was selling it!! We originally came in for the strawberry covered chocolate but he sold us the strawberry dubai chocolate too. We are hooked!! The strawberry covered chocolate is delicious!! I love the strawberry shortcake topping. That was so delicious!! The place is super cute with fresh flowers in the front and so many strawberry things. They have cupcakes, cookies, and more. I remember when these guys had a little pop up shop right in front of Yard House in the mission valley mall. It great to see that they now have an actual suite in the mall now. I believe its a family owned business but it appears they also have outside staff. They offer wonderful desserts that for the most part carry a strawberry theme.. The name says it all - the decor, customer experience and of course the sweet treats are all delightful at Mitri's. I happened upon this Mission Valley Mall shop by chance, but couldn't resist stopping by since my eye was immediately drawn by the treat case, celebration of all things strawberry, and friendly greeting from the kind woman inside. Turns out, this is a locally owned, operated and sourced gem where all treats are handmade by the owner and her family. There was a special sale on dipped strawberries (only $5 for a small container with about 10, a generous portion) that day, so I chose a mixed selection to give to BF as preliminary celebration for his recent promo. Mitri's treat case had many other tempting options, like dipped cheesecake slices, fancy multi-dip caramel apples, and XL cookies. Later, I tried a strawberry dipped in strawberry cheesecake coating, and found the berry to be fresh and the coating a delicious complement. I'm not a sweets person.... but every time we walk by here my kids definitely seem attracted to it sooooo we finally went in!!! I have to say, I was not disappointed in the slightest! Upon walking in your hit in the face with such a sweet sweet smell which is more than pleasant. Was greeted not once but 2x. I wish I got the persons name that helped us because she was amazing! Mitri's Delights is a very cute ice cream shop and candy shop. We went today for the Halloween Pop Up event. This review is for that since we didn't try anything else. The cones are decorated with various characters out of white chocolate primarily. The art in the cones is very well done. The ice cream flavors were cookies and cream or vanilla only. No other flavors. That was disappointing especially for the price. We spin the wheel 3 three times. Two of us wound up, dancing the Macarena. The last spin we got 50% off of the second come. I'm not sure we actually did since the cost was still $$$ It is a fun novelty, but not necessarily worth the price. We had fun spinning the wheel and my kids liked the ice cream so that was a win. read more

This place is very. . . . pink haha. There's a lotta fun decor all around, but that's definitely my favorite thing about this place. Strawberries are my favorite fruit, so when I was walking by and saw they had a special on strawberries, I knew I had to stop in and try some. The woman taking my order was very young and inexperienced. She kept messing up my simple order (1 dark chocolate, 1 pink chocolate, and 1 dubai chocolate strawberry) and starting over. It took a long time to place my order and then took about 15 mins for her to serve me my strawberries. She also messed up my order. Strawberries were nothing special and the chocolate was very generic. The dubai chocolate tasted almost exactly like the dark chocolate strawberries and was a mess to try and eat. Stumbles in here after visiting the Claw Daddy next door. I saw they had chocolate covered strawberries which my kids love so I had do give them a try. Came to SD for a quick day trip and while at Mission Valley Mall, I happened to walk past this adorable shop. Honestly, the smell wafting outside was enough to draw me in without another thought. Inside, Mitris Delights is absolutely charming -- warm, inviting, and full of personality. There are multiple Instagram-worthy photo ops and props, plus a variety of goodies for sale beyond the sweet treats, including candles, hair accessories, and other fun finds. It's the kind of place you can't help but linger in, even if you just came "to look." After perusing the menu for a few minutes, I decided on a Biscoff cheesecake cup for myself, and my god sister got a chocolate-covered strawberry with Dubai chocolate. I asked the young girl at the register if it was a family-owned business, and she confirmed it was -- so of course I had to do a little research afterward. Came across Mitri's Delights on my stroll through the Fashion Valley mall. It's super cute dessert shop and they offer an event space for rental, which would be perfect for a girls brunch or gathering. They have lots of yummy desserts. I love stopping by the shop when she does her special deals like Build Your Own Strawberry Covered Delight Boxes and the $2 Cupcake Tuesdays (while supplies last). One of the last times I came by the store, I ordered the build your own box where the team would fill either a small or large box with as many strawberries that can fit for less than $10! What an amazing deal. Not sure how long these special deals will last, but I'd come on a regular day for just a sweet treat after a long day because they are that good, fresh and flavorful. My favorites so far are the Strawberry Cheesecake Taco, the Fruity Pebbles Covered Strawberry and the Flavored Lemonades. If you find yourself in the Mission Valley area, make the trip! During my visit here, while waiting for my daughter to finish her movies, I stopped by this spot to check them out, it's always packed! The gentleman was hard at work I notice he was overwhelmed but still kept his composure and assist customers in a timely manner. When it was my turn, the customer had ordered a chocolate covered apple, and so did I. After the first customer order was complete, he started on my order, and normally a lot of kids or newer generation don't even acknowledge these small things, yet taking initiative and asked if I had a peanut allergy and the prior customer Apple had peanuts and he had cut into my apple with the same knife.. this seems small, but working in healthcare and friends of family having peanut allergies.. I thank him for taking the safety step to ask me if I had any nut allergies. A little mistake like that can be very dangerous. Great dessert shop! I went here after the movies last night. Delicious desserts and a great range of options including vegan desserts. I got a banana pudding cake dessert. It was just enough for me. My friend and I walked by this place over the weekend and we decided to try it out. I love strawberries so I thought of trying their delights. We both ordered different delights and they were good. However, would I go back? No. Would I recommend it? No. Bad customer service experience. The young lady at the counter, cashier, had quite the attitude. She even yelled at her co-worker, cashier next to her. My friend wanted a specific delight and was pointing at it on the window counter, but she kept saying it was the same one we already had, but it wasn't. Her co-worker told her it wasn't either, but she kept arguing with her that it was. As customers, we just felt uncomfortable and bad for the other cashier who was keeping her cool and trying to make the customer happy. That cashier lady is bad news for your business. This happened on Saturday, 6/7 around 5-6 pm. My friend and I got our delights, we enjoyed it, but we vowed not to return nor recommend this place. I gave it 2 stars because the delights were good, but the whole experience in there was very unpleasant. Hope management looks into this because it's a cute and inviting place and good delights. Just get better quality employees. A good business thrives on good products, which you have. A great business thrives on great customer service too, this one needs improvement.
