Came here on a Saturday evening and was served immediately. I got the Cremino Gelato which is their hazelnut one. It tasted almost as good as Venchi's but it didn't have the layer of chocolate ganache on top. It was decent, creamy, and their single scoop was perfect for dessert after dinner.
This cute desert place is open late and has various of deserts, crepes and ice cream. There are some inside and outside seating.
Gelato honey lavender is delicious, not overbearing on the sweet side. Great texture and flavorful. This place is small but easy to find on this main road. They also have vast selection of coffee and tea. There are tables inside. Parking can be a challenge in this area. Honey Lavender gelato is light, refreshing and addictive. Absolutely delicious! They also have cakes here. Enjoy!
It had been a minute since I had such a great crème brûlée. The tiramisu was also amazing. We paired it with a cortado which was also perfectly made.
This place is AMAZING! Been coming here for years! Known for their desserts, specialty coffee, gelato and crepes! They have some of the most unique gourmet desserts and artisan gelato selection in San Diego! Hands down! Service is always exceptional. The cafe is small, but quaint. Plenty of seating areas outside on the patio. And there's always a wide selection of delicious treats! This time around we tried the mango strawberry cheesecake, the strawberry panna cotta, and a slice of carrot cake and coconut cream cake. All were very delicious! We capped off the evening with a Mexican mocha and white chocolate mocha! Both were very tasteful! Highly recommend this spot! You will not be disappointed!
AMBIANCE: Small little dessert place we tried after eating brunch in the area. There are many eateries nearby in north park. It's all street parking, but there is a paid parking garage nearby. There's usually more parking around vons area, a few blocks up. SERVICE: You order, pay, and then get your food. The waitresses are nice. We got everything pretty quickly. Sat on the large hardwood table in the back near the restrooms. FOOD: The desserts are very cute and pretty. We tried the pistachio strawberry, mango strawberry cheesecake, tiramisu, and vanilla latte. Everything was just ok. The mousse part of the cake was the best part. The breading for the mango strawberry was a bit dry. My least favorite part of the desserts with "strawberry" was that it tasted like a coagulated clumb of jam and was too overpowering over what should be the pistachio and/or mango. Loved the vanilla latte - quite perfect with the desserts.
After a nice dinner in the Hill Crest area, I was on the hunt for a good, local dessert. Thanks to Yelp (my foodie GPS), Figaro was less than two blocks from me. I instantly lovely the dramatic, black walls; it gave the space a cozy, trendy, after 5 ambiance. The dessert cases were filled with colorful goodies and in a rush I chose the milk and berries cake and the spicy chocolate ice cream. The cake reminded me somewhat of Whole Foods' chantilly cake: light, not overly sweet, fresh fruit, and the perfect amount of flavor in the cake and cream. Stephanie was helpful as I had to make a selection when so many looked delicious.
Stopped in to try a pastry, they had quite a selection in the case and all were so beautiful! I tried the pistachio strawberry individual cake and it was yummy the pistachio mousse was very light and it had strawberry jelly with white cake inside. We also tried a slice of the German chocolate cake and to be honest it wasn't our favorite it was very dense & dry but so many varieties and flavors that I will definitely come back to try! Staff was very friendly!

Figaro Dessert Café in North Park is a sweet little gem. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a colorful display of desserts of all shapes and sizes - - it almost impossible to choose just one. Their gelato case is packed with a wide selection of flavors--there's bound to be something in that case you are going to love. The coffee is excellent too, strong and smooth enough to stand on its own or pair perfectly with a treat. And speaking of treats - pup-cup approved. Service is top notch - and they give great recommendations if you get stuck at the cake case. If you sit outside on the patio, you get the added bonus of great people‑watching while you enjoy your dessert. A perfect spot for a meetup with friends!
Fun little spot to get some cute desserts. Service was great. Super helpful cashier who explained everything that you'd want to know as a first time visitor. Quick service. Cakes are expensive but they are beautifully made. Pistachio is said to be the number one most people choose but It wasn't great. The cake inside was dry and it was overpoweringly sweet. Paired with a black coffee or tea would likely balance it out though. The blackberry lavender on the otherhand was delicious. Really liked the flavor.

My mentor brought me here, and it was tremendous, the different type of art dessert items, so detailed and very well presented. They also have a selection of gelato/ice cream, I loved the nutella one, which they didn't have the second time i went here! Highly recommend any flavors. Prices can be expensive, but it's worth for what you get. About $7 for a scoop of ice cream and $10 for pastries. Worth it! Parking can be a massacre, i'd recommend finding street! Overall, i'd stop by this place again. The only thing is that service is forever, they take a while, definitely need more people to help out the store. The ambiance is dark and great vibes, limited to three seating tables.

This place is a must! Great customer service. A couple of tables and chairs inside. Plenty of options! Slightly on the more pricer side but worth it. Gelato is made in house. Pretty desserts, cakes, & gelato. Friendly and personable staff. They offer one vegan dessert...Chocolate Bar and four vegan gelatos...dark chocolate (yum), mango, lemon, & passion fruit. The Chocolate Bar will not be a repeat purchase, but I'll def return for the gelato. Hoping that on my next visit they will add a few more vegan options to the dessert case Really nice indoor seating. read more

Oh my gosh, I'm such a fatty came here just to get my friend. A treat ended up taking a peanut butter bar and a turtle caramel cheesecake which once I got home, I absolutely love my friends did get a Figaro ice cream and my other friend ended up being another sort of cheesecake which is very good we got so much stuff. I forgot to take a picture because I was so hungry to eat something savory but the service was absolutely great. It's a very small place so the ambience is whatever it's not really much of like a place to sit inside it's kinda hot anyways but outside it's kind of cool on a cold day. Loved it will be back. read more

Decided to stop by here after dinner for something sweet and it did not disappoint. The passionfruit gelato was delicious! Can't recommend it enough if you are a passionfruit fan like myself. It was very tart and so good. I had it once before a few months ago and it was just as good as I had remembered it. Also decided to try the passion fruit tart as well and it was alright. I personally was expecting a tart passionfruit flavor from the custard like the gelato but it wasn't as strong. It was still really good but in a different way. The staff was great and helpful in letting us know what was in the desserts and some of their personal recommendations. Definitely recommend this place, very good! read more

CHOICES CHOICES. If you have a heard time picking an item on a menu then this is not the place for you haha . My wife spends what feels like hours tasting ice cream samples and looking at the dessert cake designs to finally go with her original choice haha But that's what makes this an experience at Figaro Desserts. Great for a late night sweet treat! Stopped by here for a sweet treat and had around a 5 minute wait in line. I was surprised that even at around ~9pm there were still so many people! Both indoor and outdoor seating were full of families and couples sharing desserts. The atmosphere gave off calm but warm, vibes. Strawberry Dessert - CUTE & tasty! Gel frosting was glossy and soft. Super soft and breaks apart easily, inside there's a fluffy vanilla cake. Mint Chocolate Gelato - Soft and creamy, a solid scoop. It melts fast, though it was so tasty I ate it quick with no problem. You'll love that they have a lot of pretty desserts you won't find in other places. Give it a try! read more

After dinner, of course we had to try dessert! I went for the honey lavender with almond biscotti, it was my first time trying lavender, and it was really interesting! They have so many desserts and drinks to choose from, plus plenty of space for tables and seating. Service is friendly, I asked if I can try the two flavor that I'm interested so perfect, it it worth it. Happy tummy! read more
They have an extensive selection of sweets that will require you to return frequently to eventually try them all. 11/21/2024. Peanutbutter bar: richer than Reece's, and not for the faint of heart. You'll need to pair this with a tea, milk, or coffee to finish this, or save the rest for later, 4/5 stars. Carrot cake: balanced in flavor, but the cake was somewhat dry, 3.5/5 stars. NY cheesecake: I didn't care for the buttercream; otherwise, they had nailed the creamy texture of the cake itself, 2/5 stars. In conclusion, there was a disparity between the desserts, but I suppose that this spot just has something for everyone. read more

Such a very chic and well designed bakery. The ambiance is calming and delightful. The desserts are literally works of art. They taste as good as their presentation. They have water in a dispenser in the back. I ordered a scoop of coffee gelato and pumpkin cheesecake. The gelato was so good and the cheesecake just melted in my mouth. Service was great and the location is in the heart of the Hillcrest neighborhood. I wish they could ship their desserts across the country I'll definitely be back when I'm in town. read more

We sampled the carrot cake, Oreo cheesecake, and Snickers cheesecake, and each one was perfectly made: moist, creamy, and full of flavor. TL;DR - cute little polished dessert store! ice cream is pretty expensive for the scoop size, but very rich & obviously high quality. - the desserts are so beautifully decorated & have very unique flavor combinations - staff was pretty quiet, not much to say, but was patient as we tried samples! read more
The good- I have a sugar tooth. If I could start with dessert first this would be my first option. Figaro Dessert offers satisfying delicious coffee and desserts, both of my loves. Their perfectly brewed espresso is a true highlight, delivering a rich, robust flavor that pairs beautifully with their decadent desserts. For cake and chocolate lovers, the Dulce de Leche cake is a must-try--it's indulgent, creamy, and absolutely delightful. If you prefer something with a more tropical twist, the Sweet Mango dessert will satisfy your cravings with its refreshing, fruity sweetness. Whether you're into classic flavors or something more exotic, Figaro Dessert has something to please every palate. The Not so good- We stumbled at this dessert paradise island in North Park. I say that because it is a very small establishment- seriously, I wished there were better seating options. Not much of an ambiance as well. Only one seating offers a window. Appreciated that this place was open late so we could stop by for a sweet treat. Staff were friendly in that they described their most popular offerings and provided recommendations. Lots of different cakes to choose from, in addition to gelato. The little cakes were beautifully decorated. We ordered the chocolate trilogy, tiramisu, and mango coconut cakes, as well as cups of gelato. Prices for the cakes average $9-$10 - seems kinda pricey. The cakes were ok - nothing in particular stood out about them. Not sure if we'd order those particular cakes again. read more
