There were tempting options, and then the Griddle Sandwich was explained to me & that's all I needed to know. Ham, fried egg & cheese all in-between French Toast. It was so good that it didn't need syrup. I added syrup to the other half of my sandwich & it took it over the top. I really don't know which way I'd rather have it. Before I typed this out, I saw the the sandwich was a starter. Now I'll have to check them out again for the Chicken & French Toast (that comes with fruit). The individual who took my order was super nice & they brought my food out to me (I was DJing).

My brother and nieces each tried something different- the chicken and French toast, the strawberry cheesecake french toast and the peach cobbler French toast. They were all amazing. Generally not a fan of French toast, but definitely a fan of theirs!

I showed up just before closing and asked the owner for a recommendation. He suggested I try The Tulsa, which is Smoked Boloney, Mayo, Lettuce and Tomato on Toasted White Bread. Get the Tulsa, he said, it's just about a perfect sandwich. The man wasn't lying. It truly was just about a perect sandwich. I couldn't beleive how good it was. I enjoyed every bite, and the whole time I was thinking, damn, this sandwich might be the best sandwich I've had all year. This is a Sandwich of The Year level sandwich. I loved everything about the sandwich, but what really got my tail wagging was the contrast between the savory smokiness of the delicious thin sliced baloney and the acidity of the tomato. I particularly like that the sandwich is built on a base of perfectly toasted white bread. It's the perfect bread for the job. About half way through the sandwich I realized what a huge mistake it was having only ordered one sandwich, because damn, I wanted another! But alas, the place was closed. Fast forward to just a week or so ago, and I'm back in Tulsa. I drove up from OKC on a Friday and I wasn't sure if I'd make it before this place closed. There was no way I was vising Tulsa and not getting me a Smoked Baloney sandwich so I added an extra day on my trip, just so I could hit up Baloney Maroney's. But the sandwich gods were smiling on me that day, and I made it here before they closed. Having learned my lesson the previous visit, I ordered two sandwiches this time. I got the Tulsa again, and asked the owner for a suggestion for my second sandwich. He said, get The Chicago. So I did. Now this is where it got good. I ate The Tulsa first. And just like the first time I tried it back in March, I said, damn, this sandwich is definitely in the running for my personal Sandwich of The Year. It's so freaking good! Then I unwrapped The Chicago, and took a bite. OMFG! I absolutely could not believe how good The Chicago was. It's not really that different than The Tulsa, the main differences being that it comes on a Kaiser roll, is seasoned with celery salt and includes pickled peppers. But the sum of the differences elevates The Chicago into a different realm. I could barely finish The Chicago after already eating a Tulsa, but I eventually did. And I savored every bite. I ordered mac salad as a side but was there was no way I could eat even a bite with those two sandwiches. I ate the mac salad with dinner that night and loved it. Simple and delicious, definitely try the mac salad with your sandwich! Next day I made it back for an other Chicago, and another side of mac salad. Mikey C says: thanks WT! See you next time I'm in town!

The best baloney sandwich I've ever had was what my grandmother used to make---thick slices of baloney (the kind with the red film around the edge) on white bread slathered with mayo. Sorry, Grandma, Baloney Maroney's is MUCH better. I was expecting a thick slice of baloney but it was shaved. I ordered the Tulsan. The white bread was toasted perfectly, the lettuce and tomato were fresh and that shaved smoked baloney.... No words. The chef was so friendly. Good price too. I will be back to try some of their other offerings.

I was staying at the Fairfield Inn in the art District and literally right across the street is Coney Island. It is one of the only fast casual dining concepts in the area as most of the other restaurants are full sitdown restaurants with higher prices so I decided to try out coney's. This is a pretty big spot to only be serving hotdog chili pies, and nachos and on the day I visited, it was partly populated. They have a really cool throwback vibe with old school sit in desks as dining stations for their customers. This seems to be a family run operation, which I always love. And their approach to Coney Island Dogs is pretty straightforward. Now this is a smaller dog, but definitely filling given the amount of chili and cheese they put on it. I wouldn't expect true Detroit style here as the dog is a bit smaller than what I have had in the past, but given the price which was less than $12 for three hotdogs and a drink, I'll take that every day. I actually didn't even end up eating all three hotdogs as they were more filling than I expected so if you are there and ordering, I wouldn't overestimate the size of those dogs . Definitely a spot. I would recommend stopping by if you're in the arts district and looking for something more affordable and quick to eat.

Both sandwiches came with homemade potato chips, a mix of regular and sweet potato and they were absolutely delicious. The Dutch Crunch Sandwich was packed with turkey, bacon, swiss, tomato, arugula, and avocado mayo on dutch crunch bread. They don't skimp on toppings at all, there was plenty of turkey and bacon, and every bite was flavorful. Dalton's Double Deuce was another standout. Ham, egg salad, olive tapenade, and arugula on a fresh Italian roll. It felt like a grown up version of an egg salad sandwich. The olive tapenade adds a great punch of flavor, though it leans a little salty. And the cookies... unbelievably good. Truly some of the best cookies I've had. The Brown Sugar Cookie has a gooey center and deep caramel flavor, and the Oatmeal Cookie without no raisins, surprised me, I didn't miss the raisins at all.
