The bread was interesting, it reminded me of the soft buns they used for sloppy joes in the best way. It was soft and almost instantly melted/broke down with the meat and cheese so that you get everything melding together. The only reason why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that fast food places have conditioned me to expect some side like fries for $13-14. My order came out to be around $14 with the hoagie and a medium drink but no sides so that's why it's a 4 for me. I'd give it a 4.5 if I could.

They used bigger buns and apparently decided that counted as a larger sandwich, because there was definitely not more meat. In fact, the meat barely covered HALF the bread. We literally have to cook extra meat at home just to turn these into actual cheesesteaks. And the cheesesteak rolls? The menu photo shows four halves. What showed up was ONE roll cut in half. That's it. The curly fries were the only thing remotely worth the money. Charging extra for every tiny add on while simultaneously skimping on the actual food (and the addons) is wild. If you're going to charge premium prices, at least put enough meat on the sandwich to justify calling it a cheesesteak.

When someone tells me that their (anything) in the State of Michigan is the best, there really should be a way for the diner to compare said "best" to other places. I do like the rolls. Very much so. But is the sandwich the "best"? I know of at least one place in Detroit that might at least share that claim. I still like the cold sandwiches and deli salads. The desserts are very good. And the burgers are good with a nice selection of toppings. Fries, tots, and chips are all available to order. The staff is very friendly, either in person or on the phone. The restaurant has a LOT of room in the dining area. Although I don't recall ever asking, it may have been two businesses at the same location, and at some point, the floor space was combined. They may not accept very large parties, like a business lunch, but they have the room for this type of gathering. It was better than the locations by me because the place was cleaner and the staff was nicer. I was pretty shocked how good everything was, especially for a chain. Plus, it was busier than the old locations by me, leading me to think it wasn't a fluke and just good staff. The burger was great but had a little too mush ketchup and mustard on it, so it was kind of taking over the flavor of the burger.
