They have a special house pepper sauce that is insanely delicious, if you like spice it's not overwhelming, if you are open to a little spice just try a small amount on some of the bread first. But the actually cheesesteak sandwich was horrible. The bun was hard and stale. No seasoning at all on filling mixture. meat was hard and greasy. But no visible cheesy area. I will not return.

We went for ice cream and fries and man oh man - does this place have just that! The ice cream selections were amazing and the fries were perfectly salty and crunchy. I saw they had a nice sized soup menu so had to try out the minestrone. We tried the death by chocolate, Cookie Monster and the Superman for ice cream and wow did they all pack an awesome flavor. What I really booted about it this place was that they had toys and drawing for all our littles to keep them entertained. They even had a little Christmas craft bag for us! It was very thoughtful and extremely nice to have for our littles. It's small things like this that really show me how much they value their customers. Amazing place. We will be back!

The burger was well done (there's a sign that says this is how the cook them, so I was expecting that). They're cooked on a flat-top, so the burgers do get that crusty edge to them. The toppings are diced... So, the problem with diced lettuce and onions is they tend to fall out of the sandwich. It just makes it a pain to eat. They used 2 slices (very thin, I might add) of tomato. The very thin, small slices were not placed evenly over the burger but stacked on top. Lazy prep on the sandwich maker's part. The bun was not really toasted and very doughy. The doughy bun wasn't unique to this visit. It's just 5 Guys standard burger bun. It's too large and really needs to be toasted (they really need to just use different buns). I didn't order fries as who really needs 5 pounds of French fries??? Especially since an order of fries is something close to $5 bucks. It's their gimmick and it's just dumb. I did ask if they had a smaller, more reasonable side of fries and the gal rather sheepishly said they did not, but she too wishes they did. Even if they offered a combo for a small savings??? On the plus side, they do have one of those seemingly, endless-choice soft drink machines where you can get almost anything you can think of. Love those! The place is clean, and the staff was nice. So, my burger and regular beverage was $14.00. I can get a better burger with fries AND A TALL DRAFT BEER at Good Times for the same money. 5 Guys just isn't worth it...

Not a single open table. Lots of smiling faces in front and behind the counter. The place appeared clean and inviting. The service was busy busy and still very joyful and polite. I ordered the French toast (4) with sausage links and eggs. The French toast was tasty but because they were packed, it's reasonable the cook rushed the egg wash soak before cooking. But when using thick Texas toast, if you don't allow a moment for the bread to soak up the egg wash then you'll end up with some dry French toast pieces. A few were just that but-- I'm not complaining because this place was JAMMED PACKED! It was still pretty good. The 3 sausage links, unlike all the other restaurants around, these were Huge! Not those pinky finger sized links but big round fat and juicy sausage links. Delicious. 3 eggs over hard arrived as one giant egg with 3 yolks. A big ole pancake sized egg. lol. It was cooked well done as I asked with a little too much of the brown crust on the whites. But still yummy and I'm still not complaining. I just prefer less of that browning. It's simply from an overheated grill (too hot singed the egg whites) so No big deal. I'd rather be over done than underdone. Still very good and flavorful with a little sale n pepper. And last but not least: fried breaded dill pickle spears with generous amount of ranch. While I prefer a batter dipped fried pickle over breaded, these were AMAZING! Cooked to perfection. No hint of frozen taste. They tasted homemade! The ranch dressing dip is what we call the "good ranch" you can't find at the stores. The homemade stuff that elevates you 3 inches off the ground because it's so good. Prices were reasonable, the portions filling with left overs for lunch . The meals included generous amounts of dipping sauce, syrup and butter in my to-go without asking for more. This is my new favorite place to go for diner foods and by the overflowing parking lot, looks like I'm not alone. This is hands down 1000x better than anything I've ever ordered at Leo's Coney. Totally worth the extra few minutes to head over to R Diner and skip Leo's all together.

It's a casual sports bar type of spot specializing in pizza in downtown Erie, Michigan- a small town. Lots of frog decor, hence the restaurant's name! I ordered our usual Large Vegetarian Pizza with extra cheese and extra spinach. It just felt like the kitchen was skimpy on everything- in addition to less than extra spinach especially (with extra charge) and extra cheese (extra charge also) seemed like regular cheese. It wasn't horrible but not as excellent as usual. Service was friendly enough, but was delayed because the owner was giving priority service to a regular couple at the bar. Even though I had walked in first, she got their drinks first before going to the kitchen to pick up my pizza order. Not a huge deal, but noticeable to me. Perhaps they were short staffed. I will chalk it up to an off day and will still return... though probably with less enthusiasm as in the past.
