Wonderful little locally-owned frozen custard stop on the way back home from Grosse Ile. They have special flavors and custard melts slower than non-dairy soft serve. Danny's is always a nice side trip for us when going downriver to Elizabeth Park, too. Like others, I wish their season was longer but it does give us something to look forward to each year.

The best ice cream shop in Monroe. Great staff, too! The Frozen Custard is the best, the place is clean and the smiles are free.

Frozen custard was as smooth and soft as butta, and much colder. The service was great too.

Sweet and simple: that applies to the custard and to my review. This place is a must if you're in the area.

Love their frozen custard. It's incredible. Wish it was open for a longer season. Does NOT accept credit cards which is a inconvenience.

Right next to Danny's Fine Foods, so you can treat the kids as a reward for being good in the grocery store.

They have custard that is so rich you really don't have to add toppings. I just wish they were open year round.

The owner was just getting in her car. Not realizing it was closed, I hopped out with my eager pup & child. It's the little acts like these ones that show how small businesses matter in our town. If I would've pulled into Sonic, they would've let me sit there with not even acknowledging me! Keep up the amazing work, Ice Cream Time. We will continue to be loyal to our neighborhood ice cream stand. The workers are always super friendly and patient!

Nobody comes close to its richness. My friend and I recently visited Calder Dairy Farm. Our goal was to pet cows and eat ice cream, an annual summer tradition. Since my last visit, they've enlarged the grounds making it more inviting to families and school groups, which as a former teacher, I appreciate. Besides cows, there are plenty of chickens, pigs, ducks, peacocks, goat, and geese to see. It was fun to watch a group of ducks circling around the grounds looking like they were on a mission. Everyone seemed to enjoy the parade. The farm's store is stocked with fresh Calder products, including ice cream, which you can buy in a carton or order in cones. Off to the side of the store, there is a large dining room, which can accommodate small and large groups. I highly recommend all of the Calder products and hope you have the opportunity to visit the farm.

It was a little chilly when we went, but the kids got to see all the animals. My son loved the geese and ducks and couldn't get enough of them. I bought some food from the store to feed the goats and ducks and all the kids loved it. The food conveyor belt was a lot of fun because the goats waited on the platform for it to dump out. One goat even got the food dumped all over his head! It was awesome to see the longhorns up close - although it was quite intimidating too. The store had a great variety and there were plenty of ice cream flavors to sample and choose from. Nice outing for the family.

The soft serve is fairly average but the experience is elevated by the pricing - I got a sundae, cone, and two bottles of water for $9. This is unfathomable to me in 2026, particularly with the size of a small cone for $2.60. It just feels like a throwback. Friendly teenagers working collecting tips for college, cash only (I'm sure bad for many but nostalgic for me), the hand drawn signs. I just really enjoyed it. Maybe 4 stars for ice cream of this style (soft serve), and it doesn't really compare to ice cream like Jeni's or Handel's, it's a different category. The lines can be long, and they're cash only. But once you get to the front of the line, the service is always friendly. But the art is amazing. All the hand-drawn pictures to go with the sundaes and the creative sundae names and toppings/mix-ins. Some of the sundaes are the same ones they served 30 years ago, others are new. The portions are huge. If I recall correctly, for a large cone they take it all the way down to the bottom of the machine (although I've never ordered one myself!) The cake sundaes are quart size. I usually go with a small or junior sundae and it's plenty. It's my go-to stop on the way home from Centennial Quarry in the summer, and one of the places that I take friends from out of town to give them a taste of Toledo culture. I hope they keep going for many more decades!
