I've passed this place so many times wanting to try it and finally I found some time to try it for lunch. Driving up I didn't realize they had a drive thru so this place became very convenient for me. They had a great menu focused on Chicago's beef sandwich and man was it delicious. I ordered the beef sandwich dipped with Cajun fries and a green goddess smoothie and MAN was I wowed by all the flavors. Fantastic place with a great menu and very friendly staff. read more

So disappointing , I ordered a banana split to share with my grandson and they served it in a cup. Almost 8 bucks for a cup of mixed and melted together strawberry, pineapple and what was supposed to be hot fudge(it was just chocolate syrup) IT WAS LIKE SOUP. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. Hasn't been that long since the last time I ordered a banana split but every time that I've ordered a banana split in the past (at other shops), it always came with the normal regular toppings of pineapple strawberry and hot fudge now at Nettie's you only get one topping on a small or two toppings on a large to me this is unacceptable. Came here with my husband to try the place out after passing by a few times. We first ordered the hot dogs with chips and drink and then went back thru line to try the ice cream. We unfortunately are not fans of the hot dogs. I tried the chili dog. The chili or hot dog sauce is not bad, but the hot dog itself was lifeless. It was not hot and didn't have any flavor. My husband didn't order his with chili and he said the hot dog tasted raw and overall didn't taste very good. I give this review 3-stars because the ice cream was quite good. It was creamy and sweet and much needed on a hot day. Will return for the ice cream. read more

Horrible!! Stopped by this location, which was my normal location some 20 years ago, to have my first chili, dog and ice cream in that same period of time. I have been wanting to stop by and have a chili dog and ice cream for years, and I finally had the chance to do so. Highly disappointed in the downfall of this location. Seems very understaffed. The girl at the window wouldn't even acknowledge us. Actually skipped us and took the order from somebody else that got back in line behind us. We walked away in absolute confusion and frustration. I grew up with Nettys as a child. My partner is also from the area and grew up with this as well. We were honestly shocked by the way things have changed. Wanted to pass on my experience in hopes that it makes things better in the future. Sadly, it seems like most of the attention is focused on the drive-through and very little customer service exist for those that actually walk up to the window in a traditional fashion. read more

I've been going to Nettys all my life. This summer, Nettys on Monroe has been letting me down, bad customer service and I had candy in my freeze multiple times from not cleaning the equipment. I would not recommend this location until the problem is fixed. read more

I absolutely adore this place! They've been in operation since I can remember. Here's the set up: It's drive thru-only at this location and in the summer, they have picnic table dining behind the restaurant. You can grab the perfect summer meal for less than $10 I usually order 2 coneys (because they are too amazing to have just 1!) w/ onions & mustard (no fried food here!) but you can get chips as a side if you need one. I also LOVE that they serve Vernor's which you can mix in a variety of ways with their ice cream. Be aware, that this place is ~SEASONAL~ which adds to their greatness. They close sometime in the fall and reopen in the spring. read more

This place knows how to make a chili dog! We go back and forth between this place and Rudy's but they are both so good. Nice steamed bun, great hotdog, perfect amount of mustard onions and just the right kind of chili dog chili. Plus at a great price too! I wish they would come down to FL where we live. Ice cream is great as well with crunch coat. I hear they are only open during the summer so call to make sure they are open. read more

Netty's is a great local, cheap summer place to grab a snack. The chili dogs aren't the best quality but they are still sooo good! Takes me back to when I was a kid. I love the Netty's freeze (try the orange slush with strawberry ice cream- it's a lot tastier than it sounds. It's a little tangy! love it!) and the ice cream with dip (I always think the ice cream is going to fall in when they dip it, but it never does!). And the ice cream portions are big! Great place to take the family on a hot summer day! read more

I only had the ice cream at Netty's, but it did not disappoint. They sell something called the Nibbler and, let's be clear, it is totally a knock off of the Blizzard at DQ. Then again, just about every ice cream shop sells something like this. The Nibbler tastes exactly like a Blizzard, which is fine. Blizzards are great. The Nibbler is great. That being said, there is kind of a small selection of NIbbler flavors, with about six choices. Most are candies, with strawberry shortcake as the only non-candy option. They have a monthly special and this month, it's Butterfinger-- not that special, but still delicious. Netty's has a drive through, which is awesome. I usually get ice cream while I'm food shopping. If I'm working hard for two hours, I deserve a treat! Picking up a NIbbler and swinging right over to Krogers is doable. I look forward to trying other things at Netty's and discovering if they are more than a convenient, friendly, and effective knock off of Dairy Queen. Which is not at all a bad thing. read more

I've been eating Netty's since I was a little girl. Call me crazy but the chili just isn't the same anymore. And anybody who's eaten there for years will agree. None the less I still enjoy going. Today I visited the Netty's on Monroe and they use seasoning in their chili! The locations on Airport/Fearing and the on Dorr has great customer service but very bland chili. read more

The staff here are so helpful and went above and beyond! I ordered a plain hotdog for my toddler then checked my glove box and didn't have a plastic knife to slice the hotdog so it wouldn't be a choking hazard for him. I asked the lady cashing me out if they by chance had a plastic knife I could use. They did not have one but the lady preparing the food came to the window to see how I'd like it sliced and prepared this hot dog for me already cut up!
