I have lived in many cities in the U.S. during my career and have now retired back to Boston. During my lifetime I have seen many, many chiropractors. Kurt Shilts is one of the best and, to me, the gold standard of effective chiropractic care. He is expertly learned and knowledgeable about chiropractic care but also about attendant medical conditions and issues that can impact and influence needed chiropractic adjustments. Kurt Shilts' chiropractic adjustments are the most effective and long lasting that I have ever experienced from any chiropractor I have seen over the years. He has the knack and expertise to find and target the specific problem area and the hands/skills to make that adjustment easily. I first started going to Shilts Chiropractor at 24 years old after visiting 3 prior chiropractors that failed to diagnose and adequately treat my condition. At that time Shilts Chiropractic was father (Leo); son (Kurt) joined later. My condition was diagnosed and treated and after a series of adjustments I was pain free. I continued periodic treatments with father and father and son over the years until I relocated out of the area but continued to seek treatment with Shilts Chiropractic/Kurt Shilts during my frequent returns to visit immediate family remaining in Boston. Now that I am retired and back in Boston I, again, visit Shilts Chiropractic for regular periodic adjustments. These adjustments are effective and long lasting and allow me to live relatively pain free. My daughter has had neck pain in the last few days but it escalated around 4am this morning. She couldn't move her neck too much. So we began a search for local chiropractors who could possibly see her on an emergency basis this morning before her 10am class. We left a couple of messages on their voicemail before we took a Lyft to their office. Yelp showed their office opened at 7am. Jose, the security guard in the building was friendly as we waited patiently for a call back. The remote receptionist returned our call around 7:30am and said the earliest appt would be 8:40am. She said that she would like to see her again in a couple of days. My daughter's neck flexibility and SMILE at the end of this appointment said it all. I lifted a suitcase and hurt my back. I couldn't walk for two days. I couldn't even stand up straight. I found Dr. Flum online and went in. I honestly didn't expect him to fix it in one adjustment. But 5 mins after, I walked out with some soreness but I was able to walk. I didn't need another adjustment. Dr. Flum is result oriented. He's not the type to tell you to come back multiple times just to take your money. He knows what he's doing. I have had one or two adjustment each year because I'm super active. I usually hurt my back or my neck. This year I sprained my ankle really badly. I never had my ankle adjusted. I went to Dr. Flum and thought that it wouldn't work much because my pcp told me to just rest. I was limping for a month. So I decided to try Dr. Flum. Boom! 5 mins after, I went from limping to walking with some soreness. I went back for a second time and it's much better each time. Dr. Flum really is a miracle worker if you're dealing with chronic pain. I can pivot my ankle now, though some soreness is expected!
