I tried many therapists here in past, and lately many are good but today I had Alyce for an hour appointment and she fixed me up in both physical and mental as well, with exceptionally warm hearted treatment. Her English is better than average there in Massage Ultra and I had very good conversation with my broken English while she was following my tough requests. So while speaking with her her hands were working hard so that I could take pain a little because I love hard push. She says basically do not be worried with positive laughter. Quality massage! The heated bed was very nice, my private room was clean and comfortable. I booked on the phone which was through an automated system. Then they sent me a text message with a very thorough questionnaire to fill out (asked questions like areas to avoid, areas to emphasize, purpose of massage, amount I exercise, amount of preferred pressure, etc). My masseuse spoke a little English, mostly Mandarin. We happened to chat for most of the session which was unusual for me but very fun, though I can see how language barrier could be an issue for some people (I do think this problem is essentially solved by the in-depth questionnaire answered beforehand). They also gave me a water bottle after! I used an e-gift card that was sent to me which was easy enough. I withdrew cash from their ATM for the tip and it said they don't charge a service fee but I did end up being charged $3 unfortunately. read more

A 1 hr deep tissue massage here is only $40 which is an absolute steal! They do expect a minimum $15 dollar tip but this is more than reasonable given how good the massages are and it is still cheaper than anything you can find in the area these days. For your massage, you get your own private room and it is very clean and relaxing here. My favorite masseuse here is GINA. Her hands are magical and takes care of all my knots! She also perfectly understands English if you are looking for someone without any language barriers here. They are CASH ONLY so make sure you have some cash with you. I just left Massage Ultra after my first massage with them and boy am I relaxed. The takeaways: Excellent masseuses. My wife and I did a couples massage and we're both puddles. I've been having some upper back tightness from work and sore hamstrings from the gym. The masseuse noticed me tensing on the hamstrings and spend some extra time working that problem area and now I feel great. The cost. Really can't beat the price. I read a lot of the reviews complaining about the pushiness of the staff about gratuity and I have to say, $60 (price with recommended gratuity) for a 1 hour massage gratuity included is Dirt. Cheap. A lot of places are the same price for a 30 minute massage. The bad: it was 80 degrees today and the room was H-O-T hot. I'll be aiming for morning appointments in the summer months. Also, the headrests weren't super comfortable. The think the pads on these could use replacing as both of ours were flat. Both complaints were quickly forgotten once the kinks in my neck were massaged away. Honestly, I'd love to recommend my masseuse, but by the time she was done, I'd forgotten my own name... let alone hers. read more

I didn't listen to other reviews when they said they were pushy about tips but let me tell you - it was SUPER uncomfortable. I tipped the lady that did my massage just over 20% ($10) for a decent massage and she looked at me and said that they recommend tipping $14 (over 35%). HUH? I have to admit, I was skeptical when my colleague recommended Massage Ultra, where an hour massage is $40. The online booking was a bit messy, since every appointment time I clicked on looked like it worked but then said "time slot not available." Then I ended up with three text message confirmations for three different times at two locations. I had to call them to fix it, but it was easily resolved. When I arrived, I was quickly checked in and led to the massage room. The room wasn't super large, but it was just fine and there was a chair to put my clothes down on. The face rest was pretty comfortable, which is a HUGE deal for me. The bed itself was also comfortable and there was a bolster for your feet. My masseuse, Miki, asked what pressure level I would like, and as usual, I went with medium. After working out earlier this week, even though I stretched like always, my IT band was killing me all week. I told Miki about the spot that was hurting and she devoted a really good chunk of the massage to that area, which was just what I needed. I'd like to start with clarifying that the price for a one hour massage here is essentially $55 cash only, no tip required. The advertised price is $40, but if you tip less than $15, you'll likely get pressured to give more, regardless of your experience. If you try to use a credit card, you'll probably be asked to get cash by using their fee-free ATM. Yes, this means their signs are misleading, but no, I did not have issues with it because $55 flat for the massage I got is honestly great. I've been looking for a no-frills place that does a amazing work on your muscles. I appreciate the online appointment system. The inside was very clean. The room was a great temperature, with calming music, and soft lighting. I will note that the experience may be better if you speak Chinese, but it isn't a problem if you don't. My masseuse asked multiple times how the pressure was and made sure I felt comfortable. The walls could be a little more soundproof, but I didn't care because my muscles got the treatment they needed. They seemed busy on a weekend, so I would make an appointment and not try a walk-in. read more

Hello, massage enthusiasts! Today, I'm excited to share my experience that I recently received. Before arriving at the spa they want you to fill out a quick questionnaire, which does not let you complete it because when you chose an age range it says you have not selected anything. Once I was settled in the massage room, they then proceeded to give me a massage, which was just what I needed to relieve some tightness in my shoulders and back. The therapist was skilled and would apply a good amount of pressure, so be weary of that. The price is what you pay for, it is not the greatest and it is not the best. If you need a decent massage and are not trying to go bankrupt this is your place to go. The manager on duty was a little rude at the end and gave us a little snarl, but that was expected and we just brushed it off. You need thick skin when entering a place like this. Overall, it was an affordable and average experience, would I return? For the price probably. read more

Thought I'd try a new massage place since they had good reviews and this wasn't it. The massage was overall okay. The headrest was uncomfortable especially laying in it for longer than 30 minutes. The only thing protecting my face from the hard leather was a thin linen sheet. She also snapped at me when she told me to roll over on my back. When I was given the questionnaire and asked what my target areas were, only 2/4 were addressed even though I booked a 90 minute massage. The total ended up being 60 + 21 for tip... But woman hassled me for an additional dollar to meet the "tip minimum." These "minimums" are stated differently on the website than what is posted at the front desk. Seems pretty ridiculous to me but, you get what you pay for I guess! My suggestion is going across the street to Nomad Massage. They're all really friendly and listen to your requests. Their massage chairs are comfy and I've definitely fallen asleep in them a couple of times. Next time, I'll stick with what I know. read more

During my massage, a male patron crossed inside my room to get to the other table in my room while I was on the massage table while my upper buttocks was exposed. My room door was also opened several times during the massage when I was in a state of undress. Highly inappropriate. Also, at the end of the massage, I tipped 20% (only can pay in cash, are they trying to avoid paying taxes?) and the person at the register tried to bully me into their "recommended minimum," of 30%. Came here early morning on a Saturday and was lucky enough to get an appointment right away. You have to fill out some info on an iPad to register and point to which parts of the body you want worked and which you do not as well as the pressure that you like (easy, medium, hard). That was very helpful as some other places I go to don't even ask. Also language can be a barrier at some places so this was helpful to flush out ahead of time. $40 for an hour for first timers. Great deal. Sign says $12 tip for an hour regardless of rate so $52 total which is an excellent deal. The massage was Better than most other places I've been to. read more

This place does not even deserve one star. I purchased a gift card for my mother and she said her entire experience was horrendous. The massage itself was very bad and not relaxing and when she was trying to pay, they tried to pretend they couldn't process the gift card so she would pay twice. She also left a very generous tip (25%) for said awful massage and they told her she didn't leave enough- what?! She called me when she was there because of the gift card problem and I could hear the staff SCREAMING at her in the background. She left feeling very upset and angry & I felt terrible that I chose this place. I should have read the reviews more carefully. There are so many other higher quality massage parlors in this area that actually care about their customers. Yes, this place is cheaper and might be a good deal, but you get what you pay for. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this place to anyone. read more
