****** BEWARE *******
I recently signed up for services at Mr. Car Wash, and it turned out to be a complete disaster. Their car wash machine was so harsh and poorly calibrated that it ripped off my passenger mirror--which was folded closed before entering--and popped open my fuel cap, which is a push-to-open design. This is completely unacceptable for a business that is supposed to clean and protect vehicles, not damage them.
The on-site staff were apologetic and helpful, and they quickly filed an incident report. However, I was told that the store manager, Issac, would call me for the next steps--what a joke! He leads the conversation with, "We'll go ahead and fix it this time!". The lack of urgency and accountability from management is beyond frustrating. He blamed my vehicle numerous times.
He asked me to get a quote from a body shop and email him the quote. The first one didn't work because unbeknownst to me, they don't accept the way Mr. Car Wash does their invoicing. More inconvenience and wasted time. He sent me two options more than 20 minutes away. After finding one, they instructed me that due to the process of recalibration and testing (also the mirror clip is broken) they would need a minimum of one day and a maximum of three.
Oh, the horror! When I told Mr. Car Wash I needed a rental, this process got worse. The manager, Isaac, first did not respond for 2 days. He claims to have called me from his personal cell, yet I had no missed calls and no voicemails. He then told me this work should be done in a few hours - not days. As if he knows their workload and how to fix a brand-new 2025 BMW. He also wanted to let me know that IF his Regional manager approved a rental, it could be no more than one day and NEVER on weekends. He was so aggressive, unempathetic, and rude. When I expressed my frustration with ongoing delays, his lack of customer service, and response times, he proceeded to hang up.
A car wash should never cause costly damage to a vehicle, and a company should stand behind its services when things go wrong. Until Mr. Car Wash improves its equipment and customer service, I would strongly advise against trusting them with your vehicle.
P.S.: Issac tells me new cars should be hand-washed. I'll take his advice. read more
