When my daughter and I drove out to Mission Moulding we were greeted by Mike. Trying to match a 1987 moulding for which we had only a short length, Mike took what seemed like 2 seconds to identify it as a discontinued door casement moulding and locate the last 14 footer he just happened to have in stock. It was PERFECT for our needs. Mike graciously helped us get it (legally) aboard my 2004 Honda Accord. As he did in just finding it for us, Mike handled this with aplomb. I was doing some work in Tierrasanta repairing water damage walls & flooring. When I got to the point of doing the baseboards & door trim - nothing close @ HD, Lowe's or Dixieline. The home owner thought her husband (who had passed away several years ago) had purchased the products from this location, looked it up and it was less than 10 minute drive. Well worth it as this place is nothing but moldings & accessories for install. I was greater immediately and showed the young man what I was trying to replicate - I swear it didn't take him a full minute to identify the mounding and show it on a table layer out next to a damaged piece I brought in - YES!! The home owner was impressed (as was) because the downstairs area I repaired was perfectly matched they the house now. We just purchased a home and I've been doing some remodeling. I installed a floating vinyl plank floor and had to tear off all the old baseboards, so that meant I had to buy all new stuff. The selection of moulding at Home Depot and Lowes was dismal and overpriced so I talked to a contractor friend who immediately told me to go to Mission Moulding. These guys are fantastic! I went to look for some moulding here and found the process inefficient at best. While all of the moulding samples are conveniently in a single place none of them have any prices. This means you have to take down each unit number (glad I brought pen/paper) then wait in line behind some doddering couple at the counter just to get price info. Also need the counter man for samples. Went down the street to another shop and lo and behold, prices and even availability, right on each piece even! Samples were also self service. The prices between the 2 places for the mouding I was interested in were almost identical but it's little things like this that get my business. read more

This place can get you just about anything. If you are building stairs or doing any kind of interior finish work this place has the products you need. If they do not have it in stock they can order it. the staff is standard building materials warehouse guys. They all know their stuff and their regulars. I have never had to wait long to be helped. But I always order in advance. They are kinda out of the way for most of my jobs near the coast. But traffic is never too bad in their neighborhood. read more

Tried Home Depot & Lowe's for baseboards. While their products were decent, both places did not sell in bundles and were overpriced. Went online to search for other vendors and low and behold I came across Mission Moulding. First class service! The staff was laid back and Dennis hooked me up and loaded my purchase into my truck. Not only did they sell in bundles, but the prices there are competitive and completely beat the major commercial retail DIY stores. Will definitely go to them when I begin crown moulding. This is my place to get baseboards and door trim. It is a little intimidating going in as it is in a warehouse area and it certainly isn't a Home Depot but everyone there is very friendly and was able to answer all of my questions. Their website has all of their items, both in stock and special order. All I do is look on their website and then email or call for prices. I emailed this morning and got my prices emailed back to me within an hour or two. I highly recommend them. read more

I have been meaning to write a review for awhile now. My mom had purchased Moulding from them a few years back and had a very positive experience so when I needed help fixing my baseboards she suggested to use them. I moved into my new home expecting to have to replace all the baseboards because the previous owner's dog ate chucks out of them.... At Mission Moulding they were able to match the preexisting baseboards in my home so I was able to patch the eaten pieces. They saved me a lot of money and didn't 't take advantage of me.
